  1. I need a new mouse too... The current is one with a ball. Usually the mouse works fine. It's the computer than f**ks up all the time. I just need a whole new PC... and a scanner.
  2. I hate any religion based music.. It usually sucks as some have said. I'm not very religious in the first place. I'm a dirty sinner... and am hell's Pontiac fanatic. :D :P Mmm... did Variance say Korn? I love Korn... B)
  3. Nah... It always ticks. Although when I'm off the gas to decelerate or go down a hill, it doesn't. But when I'm on it or it's idling, it does. It does it the most when I'm cruising with my foot hardly on the gas. According to the previous owner, it starting ticking when he put in valve coils... I think that's what he said, atleast.
  4. As I said, Sixty8, I can't make sense for every answer... Some have more than one answer when I try...
  5. Oh... Always. Most I what I planned to do (but probably won't... I dream big. :P ) was to come after I took care of some problems. However, I really don't know if the head gasket is actually leaking. My dad said it was, but now he says it's fine.. and I just do not know anymore. The ticking is what I would say is the biggest problem, but its more of an inconveniance having to listen to it. It doesn't keep the engine from running great or anything. I don't mind it, but it bothers the hell out of my dad. The sad thing is... no one knows what causes it. Wasn't the timing chain, the headgasket, or anything else my dad checked. Yesterday, they were thinking it was the not-working A/C (I have no idea why) so they disconnected it... wasn't that. Now they think it's a ground wire somewhere. So... I guess we'll see. Anyways, it may be a first car, but it's in alot better condition then many of my family member's vehicles... which aren't firsts. Given that, my unwillingness to let go, and my willing to sacrifice... I think modding it is fine and should keep it for a while. :D Run it until it dies or until I absolutely need to get rid of it. If anything, some mods should raise it's value if I do sell it sometime. BTW, a little update... the Alpine speakers are to be ordered soon. I almost have enough money (I need a job  ). Front and rear combined is about $190.
  6. Yes.. Easy.. That's why I passed. :D I have a funny feeling you didn't read every post... :P

I hate the interior more than anything else. It is, by far, the ugliest interior I've seen. The exterior of the coupe, isn't that bad, actually. I kind of like it. The sedan.. not so much. But, as always, I will have to wait to see it in person for final judgement.
  8. Well, haven't driven nor sat in it, so I can't saw for those... Styling, however, I can. I looked at an LT. I don't like it. This is one car that looks better in pics than in person (IMO). The exterior is bland, bland, and bland. I couldn't find one thing that I liked, really. The interior... while not bad, just isn't to my liking. It, too, is bland. Although, I like the new radio (but I've already said this and it's in many other vehicles). It'll do good, though...
  9. Is is possible to get our original join dates back? As in if the member remembers it? ...Or if any info was salvaged? Not that it really matters, though... but I just like having joined on Dec 28, 03. Aug 19, 05 just isn't as nice. And it puts me equal to or lower than newer members. As if they have superiority. Ehh... I'm probably just being selfish...
  10. *Sniff* ...No one wants to comment. :( ;)
  11. I seriously do not know when school starts. Sometime after labor day... I think. They may strike, though. That's all the newspapers around here talk about. Although it may mean we have to end into the summer again... I hope they do. I don't want to go back. I got myself into so much shit last year. This year will royally suck... Ocnblu... I've always used that term too, but have always been hesitant to say it around here. I never mean any offense by it... I just use it as Nick does. Everybody around Brookville does, actually. But that might just be the super-redneck-ness of it...
  12. Well... I don't have to do everything, Mike. No backwards parking, three or two point turns, hand signs, or such. Just driving, parking, parellel parking, basic manuevering, controll operation, and a strict guy sitting in the passenger seat. Anyways... I have made myself a record for most driving in one day. Wasted a good 1/4 tank of gas. I drove it all over the place... to... test out it's abilities and such, so to say. Handling... which is the best I've driven, but that isn't saying much. Top speed... not quite, but I got it up to 75 in a 45 on a back road (not one of the bad ones I complain about). I now take bad my regrets about it. It's running excellently (despite the tick) and could easily reach 100 if I tried. I don't know how far after that... But, I'll definitely see what the governer is set at. I also got to test it out in various conditions... all in one day! ...Dry pavement, wet pavement, night-time of both, dirt roads, city driving, heavy traffic (because of the dirt track), and hills. I must say... a manual tranny is so fun. I love shifting gears. Still getting used to it, though... but that will take time. I just don't like the transmission... Wish it were the Getrag 5spd offered the previous year instead of the shitty Izuzu one. Oh well... Still alot of fun. :D B) Finally, atleast I won't beat my cousin's record of wrecking on the first day he had it... With my Gma's car, I might add. The old 97 Sunfire. :P Poor thing... But yeah, he wrecked it. He lost control while going about 90. Went off the road... hit a few trees. He and his friend were magically unharmed. What made it worse was that my Gma had just cancelled her insurance for whatever reason... Now she has that 00 Malibu.

    Hahaha

    Hahaha... lmao.
  14. Congrats, CS... ...I would have started this thread as I saw it was your birthday early this morning. However, it slipped my mind and ran out of time... I swear. :D No, really, I do... :P $20,000? Which college is that for? Anyways, my parents neither would nor could do that... They're too poor and cheap. So, it's scholarships, grants, and/or loans for me...
  15. Jeesh... You guys all got it easy and I didn't. :P
  16. The backlighting!!! Anyways, a bit off-topic.... It pisses me off that the Cobalt and Pursuit are nearly identical, yet the Sunfire and Cavalier looked almost entirely different. Aren't we supposed to moving away from rebadging??
  17. Um.. I just took the test. What to say first? Well, I'm sick of GM braking systems. Remember the thread about the Blazer? ...Same thing happened with my Gma's Malibu. Intersection. Hit the brakes... Funky, funky happened... I hope to god this won't become a problem with newer GM vehicles... Or I'll have to start sueing. So... Got my license, anyways. The instructer said "well that was interesting" ...but not enough to keep me from getting it. Everybody better watch out for that green Grand Am GT. There's going to be crazed little BV behind the wheel... :D
  18. Okay... since you asked... :D Front bumper, headlights, fog lights, front quarter panels, hood, wheels, side cladding, rear quarter panels, rear passenger windows and pillars, trunk, spoiler, taillights, rear bumper, exhaust tips, dashboard, door panels, back lighting, and the radio. :P But, these two vehicles are not made anymore and there are more differences than alot of other rebadges. Take the CSVs for example. Those make excellent examples in this case.
  19. Oh... I guess. I just feel wierd using it. Unless it's a manual transmission, what's the point? Anyways, the car I'm using is my grandma's '00 Malibu. But I really don't see why everybody makes a big deal out of parallel parking. I think it's easy... Although, I've never tried it in large vehicle... :P
  20. Yup... It's time for some pics of the GA. I took them about a month ago. I just washed, waxed, and shined it up before I took them. Now for the basic rundown... It's a Spruce green matallic coupe with the 150hp Quad4 and 5spd. It's stock for the most part except for a few things. Currently, though, the headgaskets leak and it ticks. Nothing too serious as it is runable, just have to check the oil for water quite often and keep a close eye on the gauges. Other than that and the need for a new paint job, it's in excellent condition. It has 118,000 miles. I bought it around New Year's and I paid $1000 for it. The very few mods include: Clarion ProAudio reciever, Sony Xplod front and Visonic rear speakers, DEI Viper security system, K&N air filter, AVS headlight covers, and a "Grand Am GT" window sticker. Also, I just installed my blacklight a few days ago. I may have pics of it soon... Depending on whether you guys will bash me or not. :P However, the long list of what I plan to do/get includes: Paint it, lower it 1 1/2 inches, 17" Mille Miglia wheels, tint windows, clean up cladding, Sylvania Silverstar bulbs, clear taillights, custom leather seats, Alpine Type-S speakers/sub, Alpine 5-way amp, 4-wheel disc brakes, catback exhaust, and some parts from the HO Quad4. Alot of that depends on a few things, though. Here are the pics: Exterior: Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 Pic 4 Pic 5 Pic 6 Pic 7 Pic 8 Pic 9 Pic 10 Interior: Pic 11 Pic 12 Pic 13
  21. Okay, okay... here's the deal. I am finally going to take the test to get my driver's license. FINALLY!!! :D Anyways, there is one detail that I am very confused about. Nobody in my family can give me a straight answer about it. The parking/emergency brake. Am I supposed to use it when I park... in an automatic transmission car? Yes? No? ...I need an answer, please. Now... to get everybody caught up on why it has taken so long. First, I didn't take the permit test a good month or so after my B-day... because of my parents. Then when it came time to take the license test... my parents cancelled it because of my aunt's wedding which was a few days after the scheduled date. They finally made an appointment, but forgot, or so they say... They were then going to make one for last week, but waited until the last minute and couldn't get me in. Now, they did for tomorrow. But, I swear they don't want me to get my license... Give me answers and wish me luck, damnit! :P
  22. Hmm... perhaps I'll try something. I'm not too much of a major chopper though... Just details.
