  1. The names are ok,but until there is confirmation I will wait and hear the final names. Encore has the same prefix as Enclave, and the Enclave has proven successful so I guess they are thinking naming it Encore will make the public believe that the second Buick crossover is an Enclave Jr. I dunno.

As for Verano, well. It's okay. The product being high quality and in keeping with Buick is more important to me than the name of the vehicle. Example, I own a G8. Terrible name, great car.

  2. I know I'm late to the party, but I'll put my thoughts in anyway. I really really like this car. . . alot. Interior looks great. I like the wheels. I think it looks decided in keeping with where Buick's design language is going. It fits right in with the new LaX and Enclave.

  3. I, for one, will never buy a car from Government Motors. Not even a Corvette. I'll be looking at Porsche's, BMW's, and Audi's. Perhaps a 370Z or the like as well. Mustang's too common.

+1. I have bought my last car from GM as well. Something about the government taking over the company just does not sit right with me. I'm saddened by it, but I understand.

For the next round, I will defect to Ford.

  4. Nice pics. I like it in yella. I think the RS package makes the car look much more upscale than non RS packages. There's a small dealer about 40 miles from me with a silver Camaro with the RS package. I've not gone to look at it yet. Soon though.

  5. I had an 02 Silverado Z-71 Extended Cab. I was eating at a diner where there was a car show going on outside. As I walked from the restaurant, I noticed a leaning against the front bumper of the truck while talking to his friends. The guy was facing away from me, so I calmly took out my keys and hit the panic button on the RKE. He about pissed his pants. I shut off the panic alarm using the unlock button, got in the truck with my son, started it up, and drove off. The guy stared at me the whole time, but didn't say anything to me.

  6. He had replacement coverage and is already due to receive a new car any day now.

I was pretty sickened seeing those photos. Anyone need an RS/2SS parts car? :mind-blowing:

Glad to hear he had NCR on his policy. I get it anytime I get a new car for situations just like this. I used NCR when the Avalanche was totalled in the rollover accident a few years ago. I have to say that its worth it's weight in gold. If he is due to receive his new Camaro, then it appears he is having the same success with it than I did.

  7. I will reserve judgement until I see a production model. The news and the hype over this vehicle is textbook for the "old GM" and I've taken an "I'll believe it when I see it" mentality regarding future products. This car was marketed to change the automotive world, but I don't see it as anything other than GM's version of the Prius. I'll pass on owning one, but I will cheer it on when it reaches the marketplace.

  8. Wow, rear ended so hard that it drops the curtain airbags. I hope the owner will be okay, and has NCR on his car insurance policy.

As for the kid, he made a poor choice, and now he must be responsible for his choices. If not, this is only the beginning of his menace on society.

  9. Had mom and my step father over for a cookout and pool party. My step dad lured mom onto the diving board then pushed her in the pool. It was a hoot. I got mom a Wii for Mothers Day. She thought it was so cool. After dinner, we all came inside and told our favorite stories about mom and her antics. She does some funny stuff. It was a good day.
