I agree on the Imperial...it's a great design. Chris

Yay, an actual CAR topic...
Only reason i said that is that when I had the 66 Fastback Mustang the rear window glass wasn't being reproduced and rear window glass for these cars was hard to find and ungodly expensive...probably is reproduced now, as whole fastback bodyshells are being reproduced. I really would like to own a unique old fullsize car someday... Thanks again for posting pics of the wagon!~ Chris

HERITAGE COLLECTION BEING THINNED OUT!
I think GM crushes a lot of buyback/lemon cars that are perfectly good or repairable, from what I have heard from several sources. Chris

A must see for rail fans and car guys
I've been there, it is fabulous. Chris

Do you shorten car names?
I sometimes shorted car nams when posting here, but almost never do in real life. To me it is a sign of affection to call a Cobalt a 'balt. Chris

Stupidest Toyota commercial ever...
Kinda like my local Toyota dealer claiming to be evironmentally friendly by tearing down their current dealership and building a "green"dealership... Chris

Yay, an actual CAR topic...
Are you being serious? I've always wanted an old wagon, but thought that glass might be a real issue in owning a car like that. It would be really cool if that was the case. I like your idea of leaving the car "as is" Chris

What is your next car purchase? revisited...
They are a sturdy as hell car too. Taking my daughter to the library the other day, I came across an accident-Impala vs. Semi, with very substatial damage to the Impala. Owner of the Impala was standing by the side of the road bull-shooting with the police.... Sturdy, well engeneered car indeed, methinks... Chris

What is your next car purchase? revisited...
Really cool if we could wrap it in some 50's bodywork. I saw a preview of a movie filmed about the last days of Cuba before Castro...LOTS of great restored 50's cars. I would LOVE a strait 8 and a whole lotta chrome.... Make mone a Pontiac, please. Chris

Um, what?
I would agree...I think a lot of worthless or dangerous cars might end up off of the road. The $500 Mada 626 a drunk buys because he has 4 OMVI's and can't get a lic. or insurance...that kind of car would get crushed. Chris

Unsold Imports Piling Up
They also crushed a shipload (shipload, NOT $h!load) of new LUV trucks when whey were spayed accidentally with salt water and started to rust, IIRC. Chris

GM Studies Killing Saab, Saturn, Pontiac
Actually, given that the S2000, Miata, Z4, Boxster, etc. have their own limited buying demographic, and that Chevy has a very wide buying demographic...whatever they came out with would probably way outsell all of the above. A small junior Corvette might be a real seller....I understand not wanting to clutter the lineup and cannibalize Corvette sales but still... Chris

Nancy Pelosi says bankruptcy is not an option.
They will be Obama's problem one way or another... given the lack of engeneering graduates and the general American preference for foreign cars (in some geographic areas) it will be a problem for the person who replaces him in 4-8 years. Chris
