  1. Sat in, and started up, a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic RS in Cyber Gray with sunroof this afternoon. Very snazzy little beast. EPA fuel mileage ratings are 27/34 (v. 29/40 for the non-RS models with 1.4t). It's gotta be in the gearing changes that come with the RS package. At the EPA 30 mpg average and a 12.2 gallon tank, that translates to a 366 mile range... enough to go to work all week and enjoy a weekend drive before stopping for dino juice... v. an approximate 270 mile range with the Patriot.
  2. Bad news: you find out your 2010 CTS-V wagon needs a throttle position sensor...
  3. An automatic FR-S is like going on a blind date with a blow-up doll.
  4. I predict this will be the best looking useless, unwanted car on the market. A valiant, high-tech effort in dream making. But then the alarm always goes off too early.
  5. Good news: you were tired of the guys in the car club ragging on you about your mauve Monte Carlo anyway. Time to change the color!

Taking a leak at a public urinal and staring at boogers 1. splattered 2. flicked 3. smeared on the wall behind it. why???????????

  8. Nice developments! The 1.6t needs to go in the Encore as well.
  9. Good news: your trusty pup cleaned it all up for you, then licked your mother-in-law's face sweetly.
  10. Well there's the Malibu. And a non-existent modern compact pickup truck, just two obvious examples. If one counts the corporation as a whole.

  12. Bad news: you take a tumble while dancing on the bar in celebration, and your hospital bill is $6995.
  13. Ah but some rabbits are best left alone, a wise hound once said.
  14. I think they'll do it. I think the MKZ will do well. It is a unique luxury product, distinctly American. I'll cheer them on for the MKZ and the upcoming MKC small crossover.
  15. Wow, furniture and old Chevys. What a lusty bunch! I can't think of anyone either. I think he's mythical.
  16. I wrote a minor repair estimate on a 2010 G6 today, silver with black interior. Glad to hear your car has been a good soldier.
  17. Somebody's got the vapors... "Oh, Lizabeth, it's the BIG one!" <-- Fred Sanford having a "heart attack" when reality walks in the door.
  18. Alphanumerics do not work on any brand, imo. Even on BMW, they're referred to as "3-series", "5-series", etc. more than the actual model name... and Benz as "C-class", M-class" "S-class"... the numbers are too confusing. Cadillac and Lincoln had iconic model names and they threw it all away. They should be proud to be American, not copying Euro naming culture.
  19. I'm thinking a halo car is something like a Corvette, or in the case of Cadillac, the Ciel or Sixteen.
  20. That was a response to specific posts on the matter. No one has to care necessarily, it was a simple response.
  21. Um, just in case I've not been clear enough... there will NEVER be an electrified vehicle in my garage.
  22. TERRIBLE suggestions, Drew and Z. Anyway, with a tiny tank, I can't go a whole week without stopping for gas with my new commute. I just got gas this morning... 270 miles. worked out to be 22.8 mpg. Not bad for the type of vehicle I'm driving. If a Colorado diesel were out now, or even an honest 26 MPG 4.3 Colorado, it would be fantastic, especially with a reasonably-sized fuel tank. Although a Sonic RS would make a sweet commuter car.
