  1. Regardless, a "premium" vehicle shouldn't have a lower assembly quality than that to which it is "premium." You really believe there are no perfectly assembled Civics? No RLs with loose trim in the showroom? Isn't it your job to feel every dash?

  3. Uh Croc just because the part on the dash Drew commented on in the Terrain LOOKS different from the same general part in the Equinox, doesn't mean it is attached with different fasteners. Look at 10 Equinoxes, there will be variations on every one of them. Look at 10 Lexus LX470s, there will be variations on every one of those, too. People still put cars together out of thousands of parts. They are not grown in a petri dish as clones, no matter what processes are introduced in their manufacture to try to ensure consistency, there are going to be variations. And Drew pointing out a tiny variation in his Terrain review still has legs... amazing how some folks just pick up the baton and run and run until they drop. The buying public apparently likes the Terrain and the Equinox, and feels there is enough differentiation between the two. These vehicles were just put on the market and are doing well, they're hard to find because they sell right off the truck. Extra shifts at the plant have been ordered to keep up with demand. We should be pointing that out. I'd like to see a Sport trim level on the Equinox, with some sort of power enhancement. Maybe a Terrain Denali, as well.
  4. Siegen, that's nice, dear. No really. Out of all the Asian manufacturers, I think Honda is the least offensive in the way they present themselves. I don't think I could bring myself to buy one unless it were an ATV, though. Now Toyota, Toyota can be the new Yugo, for all I care. If they packed up and left our purple mountains majesty and amber waves of grain tomorrow, I'd cheer to the top of my lungs.
  5. Finding someone you want to spend your life with is possibly the greatest gift a man can get. Congratulations, Drew.

  7. On a Ford product, it's so easy even our parts guys can do it for customers... reprogramming. If you don't want to stop at a Chevy dealer, maybe a phone call to a nice service advisor there will get you what you want. If you stop in, be sure to take both remotes.
  8. I've always liked the Formulas more than the Trans Ams, they're cleaner, and I love most versions of the Formula hood. Looks like a good start to a real project, Jacket. Good luck with this one!
  9. I can vouch for that. You barely had enough room to sit in there.
  10. double hulled
  11. Consider it burned. That's cool.

  13. Sweet, even with his toolbox in there, he still has room for the proverbial 4X8 sheet of plywood (4X8 inches, that is.)
  14. Hey, that's really cool.
  15. *pssst* ahem, *whispers* drew you know there's a gas nozzle hanging out of the side of the car, right? how long were you dragging it? :smilies-38096:
  16. Wow, the new-model Fit isn't doing so great, is it? Remind me again how Americans are flocking to small cars, and the domestics are out of touch because they don't offer a plethora of them for eager Americans to purchase?

  18. Looks really good as a V-series. The exaggerated CHMSL/spoiler is the only element that has a trace of cheese. All-in-all, one of the best combos of brutality and luxury I've seen.
  19. Brand new, shiny white/tan leatherette Jetta TDI Sportwagen manual with massive sunroof... in our employee parking lot. Complete with new-style front end and all. Now I'm dying to find out who's it is!
  20. Well those are better than glazed, cream-filled, or any other kind of doughnut I can think of.
  21. beans
  22. A solid maybe - best I can do.
  23. On the Nomad/Safari, though, the roof already has cutlines and the door window frames are cut at an appropriately sporty angle.

    Ahhh snow

I remember reading something over at Autoblog the other day... "Proper Winter Tires More Effective Than AWD".
  25. The Lumina Euro coupe actually wasn't a bad looking car. I saw a white one in mint condition the other day.
