  2. Well I just called that chick Flo @ Progressive, and she said a 2010 Equinox AWD 1LT 4 cylinder would cost $39 more over a six-month term to insure than my Cobalt, while a 2010 Colorado 1LT regular cab 4X4 5 cylinder would cost $75 more than my Cobalt over the same period. I gave her VINs of vehicles I located online, just as examples, for checking the relative cost to insure a compact pickup and crossover, if anyone's interested.
  3. This tangent needs to be nipped in the bud.

  5. I'm going to guess... autoerotic asphyxiation? Run over by a reindeer? WHAT?
  6. If Drew was trying to show a fit and finish issue in his center stack photo, I can't see it. Can someone point out the problem? Nice review. Beautiful vehicle.

  9. In my crazy vehicle world, I've been thinking about a 2010 Wrangler 2 door hardtop. Good luck finding a suitable Jeep, and I hope you can get that '11 5.0 sooner rather than later!
  10. Excellente there, crash.

  14. I think the Terrain is a knockout. A really well-done vehicle. I sincerely hope GM sees fit to continue to field an entry in the compact truck class, especially with new fuel economy regs coming, now is not the time for them to give up on the segment. They invented the domestic compact truck with the original '82 S and T-series. The exterior and mechanical improvements to the GMT355 last year really make it a hard decision for me.

  16. I would take that base model gray Camaro Satty posted, restore the body and interior to factory original, put in a proper modern smallblock that fits under the low hood, re-do the transmission, driveline and brakes, put modern tires on it with the original rims, and go smoke some rice. Sleepers rock.

  18. These seem well made. If I could afford it, I think I'd get one of these. No-nonsense, light, and rot-proof. livinlite

  20. Throw a vinyl mat back there and Zora and Arkus could ride standing up! Loki, you know they make giant hearses out of the current DTS, right?

  23. Fightingbee is correct, according to my old employer (local Chevy dealer). When I took mine in to them for the steering column replacement, I commented on the same exact sound, 5 raps in quick succession. It is that vent valve. Disconcerting in that I've never had a veh that did this, but now that I know it's normal, it falls under the radar. Every car has its quirks.
  24. I believe Drew has it right. It appears to be the Granite, when compared to Tony. And I'm a little scared, based on the screengrab. What is the purpose of those gills under the headlights? Yikes, I guess we'll see in a couple of weeks.
