  1. We have a good group, but a rating system is a much too easy invitation for abuse. Glad to see it's been switched to positive-only. It is good to hear contrary opinions, the back-and-forth hashing out is part of the fun of being a forum member. Getting rid of ppl who disagree is not good... we are all trainable. Working to win over a contrarian is satisfying. Hearing and considering opposing opinions is good for widening one's plymouth horizons.
  2. Shows a lack of experience and inattention to keeping up momentum. Be smooth and you'll be alright.

    I don't know, it's all so fuzzy...

  5. This budding media war against Asian vehicles is a start. It's what brought down the domestics over time, it can work against the Asians, too, I sincerely hope. Please spread the word about every NHTSA investigation of Toyota you can, and every outrageous example of Japanese protectionism, as evidenced here. Let the people know... make it stick.
  6. I like a lot of your ideas, cire. The euro Capri we've seen renderings of would make a perfect fit for Mercury, for example.
  7. So far, so good. These are the kind of cars I aspire to, even if I cannot afford them.
  8. Makes me want a small Chevrolet 4X4 pickup truck to go out and play... whenever we get our big snow. All we got was a dusting, then it turned to full-on rain and wind, making for a nasty commute yesterday morning.

  10. No Saturn No Pontiac = no excuse not to have a Cruze coupe at launch. With foglamps.
  11. Christmas
  12. It's a sweet car, but you already know that, mustang.
  13. Go to an empty parking lot with no light poles and play with your car, that's a good way to learn how to control it.
  14. I see two negative points for my above post on this car. I expect you to show yourselves like men, first off, then I expect both of you to buy one of these and post it in Member's Rides. I mean, really, look at that profile shot. How is that in the remotest way considered attractive? And it is no good as a traveling car. It has 4 seats, but then barely enough luggage space for one person, or even a week's groceries with the back seat up. I cannot imagine folding down the seat just to bring groceries home. Where's everyone's suitcases going to go? Lashed down on the roof rack? Can anyone imagine that? It would be loaded down like a ferry in Bangladesh, ready to capsize. No thanks.
  15. Just ask your father or grandfather to give you lessons, they learned to drive in RWD, and they survived. I'd still rather be able to steer with throttle than deal with the uncontrollable push of FWD and its attendant loss of steering control.
  16. Sharp! And lookie there, it's got panel truck doors... I think somebody here has been jonesing for a 2-door Blazer with those since time immemorial.
  17. OMG Jeff D'Ambrosio, I've been there many times, they seem to order cool stuff, like the Chevy/Buick/GMC/Pontiac dealer in Elkton, MD. What a beautiful car. Best of luck to her, and keep us posted!
  18. Nice project, sir. Good luck with it. I liked those when they were new. Used to see many more of these than Electra T-types, that's for sure.
  19. We have an '87 Caballero in the shop right now, a tree branch fell across the front of it, didn't do much damage, luckily. It's silver with gray lower, front air dam, and red and orange stripe around the paint break area. 4.3L V6, in good shape except for a dent in the rear bumper and RH quarter (unrelated to tree damage).

    um, smile?

Yup, seems that way, and I was the booby who got snared.
  21. Wow, sometimes a guy just lucks out. That thing is ripe for the picking!
  22. Ridiculously useless speck of a penalty box. Ugly from all angles (and there are MANY angles to that "design"). No way in hell will this thing sell in any respectable numbers here.
  23. Well, look out world, Cory is 21. Not sure if you'll be over here to see this, but Happy Birthday to ya. Have fun playing Golf.
  24. It might be cool if they call the miniature GMC the Jimmy. It will be a mini Terrain, I bet. Spunky!
  25. Will you come and plow my driveway then? It's 20 feet long. Hey Camino, I hope those forecasters are right and we get buttloads of snow this winter so you can make good money.
