I can see a body line in the plastic has been disturbed, and another small gouge below the taillight. The bumper cover will have to be removed from the vehicle, (to avoid tape lines that can allow paint peelback in the future) filled, sanded and painted, then reinstalled. Looks like a 2-day repair, nothing major, just a pain in the butt on your nearly new vehicle. Let us know how you make out... and in your original post you first said bumper, but then you said fender in the same post, hence DF's confusion.

My aunt does that a lot, she is the queen of the malapropism.

The difference here is... there is still paint on the Corvette bumper, which is necessary for the product to work, which it did, quite well by appearances. By gm4life's description though, the paint is gone off his bumper. No polish can restore paint that is not there.

Went to the gym today, and the hot shower water dried my hands up pretty bad. After that, I went to the grocery store. In the soap aisle, there was a rack with some kind of hand lotion I'd never heard of. They had all the different flavors sitting there in a row at shoulder height with "tester" written on the bottle, so I thought what the heck. I chose the unscented flavor, put my hand under the nozzle, and pushed down. Instead of squirting down into my hand, it shot straight out onto the center of my chest the size of a quarter and left a trail down to my navel. I looked like a friend had just done something very naughty to me. I immediately looked around to see if anyone saw me, and there was a lady with her back to me looking at vitamins, so I quickly rubbed it off with my finger and rubbed my hands together with it. I cannot imagine the funny looks I would have gotten if I hadn't noticed it and continued to walk around the grocery store with a giant splat of white stuff on my shirt.

I believe the 6.2 was better than the 6.5, which ate injection pumps like popcorn at the movies... we had to keep injection pumps in stock for the 6.5, didn't keep much for 6.2s.

If it were my Torrent, you can bet it would be fixed, and not with some cheesy touchup paint. Good Lord, this man has pride in his vehicle, he keeps it nice, he should have it fixed. Something this small most likely will not raise your insurance premiums. If you can see dark gray in the scratch, YES, it is through the paint on the plastic bumper, you cannot rub out paint that is not there. If you get a chance, please post a clear photo for us.

'74 'Cuda, belonging to my cousin, with 318/Torqueflite, used to terrorize the high school parking lot... it was one of the quickest cars there, laid waste to a then-new '78 Trans Am, among others. Light blue/black top/black stripes/blue vinyl buckets, air shocks on the rear and Keystone rims... he inexplicably traded it on a brand new '79 Cougar, light green/dark green laundau/green vinyl bench, and a 302. He put Cragar S/S rims on that one, wider on the rear, with air shocks and white letter tires. Ah yes, the 70's.
