Very nice. Love the diesel engines. Love that it is functional first, stylish second, with a full frame. It is a real truck. It would probably be priced out of the midsize market if sold here, which is a pity. The GMT355 has a lot of the same attributes... functional first, stylish second, a real truck, no poseur. Wish GM would stick a diesel in the GMT355. EDIT: cool! There's going to be a regular cab as well. VW, if you want to dominate the world, best to sell this in a country that absolutely LOVES pickup trucks, the USA!

When you said "hospital", all I could think of was green open-backed gowns worn by old ladies and men using a walker, showing their wrinkly little cracks and making me slightly ill.

That burn-out made me cry... sooooo excellent! And that sound... such heavenly music. If it were a regular cab, I'd be all over it in a heartbeat.

Yeah, from what I've seen so far, at least on the exterior, this is a lateral move, not a giant upgrade. The interior appears nicer, no doubt.

I saw a Camaro exactly like that at a dealership on Rt 15 on my way back from my brother's cabin yesterday... I believe there were at least two other Camaros in line with it, but that color combo stuck in my mind's eye.

With the premise that an E-body would be a tip-top of the line personal luxury coupe at Pontiac, the design would have to be even more provocative, sculpted, sporty, and luxurious than the 1977 Grand Prix. How is that possible? I was there when the brick wall hit... the transition between '77 and '78 Grand Prix was jarring. I remember thinking that they cut off all the contours and where left with a small box, a shadow of former glory. My opinion of the '78-'80 GP has mellowed since then, and now I would love to at least see one on the road. A black one with saddle vinyl buckets, gold-accent snowflake wheels, 301 and tin top would be great to tool around in on the weekends.

Worthwhile improvements over the Cobalt sedan, but until I see more bodystyles, especially a coupe, I am not interested.
