  1. OK, I brought back some pictures of my travels today: Terrains: Terrains: A5 Cabriolet: 2010 Jetta Wolfsburg with factory bodykit and rims: 2010 Golf 2.5L: 2010 GTI: 2010 GTI tail: 2010 Mustang GT with factory accessory package: 2010 Mustang Pony with stripe delete: Two sporty Chevys of some sort: A project awaits: Avalanche in Lowe's parking lot, wicked:
  2. k thnx, i told kittycat and she's calmed down considerably
  3. Yup, IIRC, the "A" engine digit was for a 3.8L, fire-breathing 110 hp V6. Not sure what the digit was for a turbo, but there is a website dedicated to VIN digits so you can be certain. I think the Rocket has a tad more than that. The only problem with removing the rub strips is there will be holes in the bumper because the strips snap or even bolt into those holes in the face bar. Removing them for painting is a good idear, but maybe you'd like to reinstall them afterward? Also, because the quarter glass is flush-mounted, it might be difficult to mask around that and have the paint look good and not peel back from that area eventually.
  4. Someone please help me identify this song. I've been singing it all morning and my cat is very concerned for my sanity... she looks at me, rubs on my leg, dilates her pupils and meows like a crazed kitty: I'm havin' daydreams About night things In the middle of the afternoon And while my hands Make a livin' My mind's on lovin' you I'm havin' daydreams About night things In the middle of the afternoon And every night You make my daydreams come true...

  6. Funny, some folks think of Spring as a time of renewal, but I always think of Autumn that way. I guess it's the old "back to school" and "new car season" vibe sticking with me.
  7. pow, that's not weird. Honey is good for you. I have honey in the house all the time. It's good in tea and on oatmeal. Honey has medicinal and antibacterial properties, and mixed with a little plain yogurt, it even makes a great face mask. Viable honey has been found in Egyptian tombs. Save the honey bees!
  8. Classics!
  9. Because it's disgusting, that's why. Next question, please.
  10. True, that's why mustang's use of the term "whine" has me concerned for him, but... if it's fixed, it's fixed. We have a lot of ppl holding onto these LS's because Lincoln hasn't put out an effective replacement. One guy said he bought his 2001 "despite the RWD" (I could have beaned him for that comment), but that he was so happy after he bought it he intends to run it into the ground, unless he can find a super-clean final year 2006.
  11. That driveway sounds . What could be more All-American than that? 2010 Golfs have arrived at local dealer. A few more Terrains have hit the ground at local store.
  12. COMMANDO
  13. Nice so far, Drewbert!
  14. I've loved King Syrup for my whole life so far. But I just read the label and realised it has HFCS in it. Now I'm sad a little bit.
  15. I hope you can do it, gm4life. You are a tried and true GM fan, and you should be rewarded with a bruiser like this new Caprice. Best of luck in your "pursuit"!
  16. Back in my days at the service counter, GM handed out a list of proper terms for noises to prompt the customer in pointing a tech in the right direction. It was humorous.
  17. Sounds pretty good, o' reptilian one, except for the dill. Ixnay on the illday, ew.
  18. Well I can understand a screech or squeak but not a whine from such a problem. I hope it's fixed. Thanks for the information, SAmadei, it makes sense.
  19. I agree with Shadowdog. Tax dollars going to purchase equipment so it can be immediately resold to a private citizen? Sounds fishy to me.
  20. They're unnecessarily giant, imo. I thought the Forester was their bigger vehicle (forgotten Tribeca notwithstanding). I also wish the regular Legacy wagon were still available Stateside. Plus, the Impreza wagon is missed, a 5-door hatch is NOT a wagon. Will Subaru actually get a version of the RWD coupe collaboration with evil empire Toyota? I thought I read that Subaru bosses are reluctant to participate.
  21. Interesting black, white and gold stripe around the outer edge of those rims. Oh wait, that's the TIRE!? They'd be ruined in a day driving around here. Soooo stupid.
  22. Holy crap, that's a sweet car. What's the 8th digit of your VIN? I like the silver, too. With black Torquethrusts it would look fantastic. Best of luck with this one!
  23. God I hope this works, this groundswell of interest in a civilian version. I hope GM really has ears like they say they do. But so many times good things have been snatched from us, I am afraid to view this positively yet.
  24. The weather forecast doesn't look too bad for you guys. Have fun!
