  1. ahhhhhhh..... now that's more like it!

  3. Pontiac is/was different enough from Chevrolet, with its better products (Solstice/G8) to justify itself. And Buick? They ain't there yet, with a plastic wheel-covered LaX CX.
  4. ...today was supposed to be bright, sunny, and 78 degrees. It's now five minutes 'til noon and it is cloudy, slightly breezy, and no more than 60 degrees. Are extensive self-defense classes part of a Meteorology major's curriculum? Just wondering.
  5. I also didn't realize that day is Father's Day. I most certainly do appreciate the invitation, but I am sure we'll all be doing something for Pop.
  6. And the people who saved the world from Hitler's tyranny dwindle day by day... who will pick up their baton and run?

    Tetris

Tetris is insanely addictive. I haven't played it for a couple of years for that very reason.
  8. Before I put my cat in the house, I used to put food out for her on my deck out back, off the second floor. One evening after dark I heard a rustling out there. It didn't sound like my little cat, and I thought it was one of the rogue Toms in the 'hood stealing her food. I turned on the light, preparing to chase it, and holy $h! it was a huge ass raccoon. Turning the light on, and then standing watching it up close through the sliding door didn't phase it one bit, I don't think it even knew I was there, one foot away. I let it eat, but then I brought the dish in and washed it thoroughly.

  12. I swear, you know how a drunk always finds his way home? I felt like that after leaving the dealership. Completely out of it.
  13. Maybe he misread the ad. Maybe he thought it was 2 Broncos for the price, not 1 Bronco II.

  15. Stand back please unless you want to get all sticky. ocn has just come home from seeing his first 2010 Camaro at the local dealership, and he is ready to mount something. Does not BEGIN to describe this car. I want to sell my car, my house, even my body to own one of these badass mofos. Silver/black leather 2LT/RS...
  16. Pontiac could have survived with little investment and the need for fewer marketing dollars with just G8 and Solstice. Put a 1.4t as base engine in the Solstice and a 2.0t in the G8 with 6 speed manuals for maximum fuel mileage, while offering the larger engines with refinements as options. I am still pissed this niche brand strategy wasn't tried before this ill-advised decision was made.
  17. I like straight black and straight white. This trend toward metallic on every color is getting tiresome. One cool thing about the Kia Souls is the Dune color, a nice non-metallic tan. I think they will have a couple more non-metallics for that car later in the model year.
  18. Here you go, GM's plug-in future!

  20. If The New GM expects any chance for their ill-advised plan to kill Pontiac to work, they are going to NEED to repopulate Buick's lineup with at least a couple of some sort of youthful vehicles. Wilmington could have continued with Stingray, Bengal and Opel GT versions of Kappa. The Delta Buick cannot come fast enough, and it needs to be available in not just old-man sedan, but coupe and some other bodystyle, as well. I have a strong feeling this bankruptcy has caught The New GM completely flatfooted when it comes to a realignment of models to cope with so many discontinuations in such a catastrophically short time.
