Is the VIN posted in the Craigslist ad? If so, what is the 8th digit of the VIN? That is the engine digit. A "P" is an LT1, a "7" is the old-style 5.7, and an "H" is the 305, I believe. edited to change the 9 to a 7

I find it a bit amusing that a person who owns a Jeep Grand Cherokee would post something, anything, negative about Hummer. Jeep is no better, in fact, Jeeps are known for getting among the worst fuel mileage in their respective classes. Hummer has its place in the market as a genuinely capable SUV... that said, a Hummer's rightful place is on the trail, not the mall. Same as Jeep.

I agree with Croc on the tipping thing. It is up to the customer to decide how much, if any, to tip. I try to always tip based on service, but if the quality of the food is horrible, that might influence me, too. And most servers are not good actors. You can tell if they don't want to be there, for example. I can certainly cook well enough for myself not to starve. If I choose to go out or order in, I expect good, drama-free service as part of the experience.
