  1. Toni if it only happens while braking, then it stands to reason it is in the brakes and not the steering.

The green Cobalt's up for it!
  3. I love the Mini Cooper. I was just over at their site this afternoon, building and pricing. A Cooper S the way I'd want it is dangerously close in price to Camaro 1LT/RS territory, though.
  4. A lot of us miss those days, 66, and believe evolution should have been the rule at GM instead of revolution during the Downsizing Era. Look at BMW, Mercedes and Porsche, for examples on how evolution works wonderfully.
  5. Vibration while braking is almost always caused by warped brake rotors, not a steering problem. Warped rotors can result from heat buildup, causing the iron to warp, or from uneven tightening of the wheel lugnuts. Since your rotors are pretty new (and have plenty of iron thickness left), I'd suggest having the rotors "turned" on a brake lathe. This grinds them down to an even, flat surface. Then make sure the lugnuts are tightened evenly with a torque wrench to GM spec.
  6. And with z's post, I just got an idear for Vipes: why not get a set of headlights out of a salvage yard, remove the lenses and paint the housings bodycolor, like a Corvette? Install blue bulbs, and voila... a really cool, unique look for a Cobalt. (I am suggesting buying a set from the salvage yard in case something goes wrong, you have your original lights to fall back on.) Can anyone photoshop Vipes' car with red headlight housings?

I agree with Croc's points, all except for that damned foreign word at the end. SPEAKA ZE ENGLISH! :AH-HA_wink: I don't have the inclination to leave, however. I've grown accustomed to the core group here and hope we can stick together through this dark phase and emerge stronger and bigger on the other side, with a renewed focus on casting C&G as a GM fan site... we've lost sight of that original intent in too many instances over the last several months, imo. I nominate Satty's son to compose a piano theme for The Lounge. * plink plink plink *
  8. "government-appointed members of a new GM board"... yikes...
  9. Satty, I like you better when you make jokes about anything other than fans of GM. Why don't you get your gf to trade that Prius on a Fusion Hybrid? Or even a 2.5L 6 speed manual Fusion? I'm sure it's improved over your old one, and it looks good, too.

..or even a Liberace! Wouldn't that be cool?
  11. Those mirras look good on there, Vipes. Now you have body-colored mirras like mine! The black, factory-style headlights available aftermarket would look good on it, too, and not ricey, since they look factory except for the darkness.
  12. I thought this would be a Star Trek thread.
  13. Mr. Bond, yup, that Cummins engine is a powerhouse, inline six torque for the win!

  15. Dodgefan, let me post right here and now I have no problem with you personally, you are a nice boy and there's nothing wrong with being a Dodge fan. But stand over here for a moment. You are an administrator at a GM fan site, yet you continually interject flattering posts about Chrysler products into GM threads (we have an "Other Guys" section where we can all celebrate "off brands", which I have done and will continue to do), and you have bashed GM products in your posts in GM threads... look at your posts in the "What Can Buick Do?" thread. As you ratchet up your praise for Chrysler products in GM threads, don't you think it is natural for GM fans at a GM site to bite back? Both companies are fighting for life right now in an unprecedented series of serious events, a "perfect storm" of little calamities that have added up to possible death for one or both. We are all on edge as fans. Times like these, fans are going to rally together to try to keep the tone as positive as possible for their respective "teams". I don't want to see anything happen to Chrysler. I love the 300, Charger and Challenger. The Ram is nice, and the Wrangler... all I'm asking is that you be sensitive to us as GM fans as we watch "our" company fight for its survival, seeing as you are an administrator, and I thank you for taking the job here. LHforums sounds like it will be fun for you as a side gig.
  16. They need a Fusion and/or Milan coupe (to lend an even sportier air to the line) to lure orphaned Pontiac buyers and keep them buying domestic. You know corporate spying is still ongoing, they had to know what GM would do. Anyway, good for Ford. The '10 Milans and Fusions look great!
  17. They must have hired a different copywriter, I don't see the phrase "BEST EVER" anywhere.

  20. One of the Pontiac Gods...
  21. I think that was the year your mom rode my Big Dick from Wilmington all the way to Abilene, IIRC.
  22. Excellent post, smallchevy.
  23. What is "Lexus"?
  24. dfelt, I'm sorry, man. Good luck to you, sir.
