Nice one, small!

Saturday, I cleaned up the Cobalt to take some pictures. As I was driving around town, I noticed another Cobalt behind me, driving a bit aggressively. I came to a red light, and it pulled up next to me. I took a quick glance, it was a Blue Granite LT four door with a young Latin driver, windows down, sunroof open, blasting his music. I sat quietly, eyes locked on the traffic light. When it turned green, I laid a major patch of rubber and caught second gear. Next red light, I'm in the turning lane, he pulls up next to me, salutes, grins and says "all stock?" I said (a bit amused) "yeah". He looked at my clean green car with the new rims and said "beeeautiful..." I said "thanks" in a rico suave way as the light turned green and we went our separate ways. As many cars as I've owned, I know a Cobalt is a modest little car, but when it's clean and with the new wheels, it is a handsome little thing if I do say so myself. So I'm content for now, driving with my new perspective, post-Sierra 5.3L Flowmaster badassedness.

Gorgeous wknd here, but cool and rainy yesterday, and tomorrow I guess. Today 60s but rainy. They're calling for another spectacular wknd, though. 80s! Spring, ahh... it's all over the place.

Shoot, I need new glasses I guess. I thought it was a Silvia. It's pretty. The G5 looks good with rkSport stuff on it, I find their stuff to be not horrible.

Darn, if only you had the conversation recorded, but who would have thought of that? I would look elsewhere if it were me, dude sounds like he'll be in your business.

Hmmm... oatmeal, green tea and a glass of grapefruit juice for breakfast, small bag potato chips and two double chocolate cookies at break time, peanut butter and jelly on homemade wheat bread with a diet coke for lunch (took sliced peaches and a banana but didn't eat them), and a dark green salad for dinner with slivered carrot, chopped tomato and mushroom and ham, and homemade orange vinaigrette.

*puts on a size 13 dress and bats eyelashes coyly* Daddy?

Maybe I'll ride down there Saturday.

I am not a blind man. I have owned vehicles other than GM, a Nissan and 4 VWs, all of which were good except for my blue '98 Beetle. But I will not begrudge a well-meaning GM fan because he is asking for us to make suggestions within a framework he supplies us. Uncool. That G2 looks wicked with dark windows and alloys.

Don't suggest that, yeck. He'll be over there in the bushes looking through the man's window with his camera while the old dude "uses" the movie.

We were told to dump our trash out of the bags onto the curb and reuse the bags in order to save the planet.

gm4life, my friend, I'm afraid you set yourself up for this one. This innocent thread posted by a GM fan has turned into a piranha feeding frenzy, and you're the hapless goat. Listen up: the guy wants to stay loyal to GM with his car purchase. He wants to instill in his son a loyalty to GM products. He's a good man. All of your suggestions to stray from that are for naught, so cut the crap. It's HIS CHOICE, you rabblerousers! That blue Si, no f@#king way would I buy a Honda with a modified engine... why spend all that money only to get rid of it so soon after? SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THAT. The GTI? Check out those cataracts. It's got wear, too, and the photos are taken to try to avoid showing it... like the hole in the driver's seat. The Supra? Another modified car. Stay away from cars with modified engines, especially when the seller admits the work was done recently.

At least he told you he was a 65 year old granny from Idaho.

First new Fusion on the road, a black Sport. Looks menacing!

Hmmm...

I'll bet that would look spunky with 30", knobby tires on it, but I'm sure Viper's grandfather is happy with it as is. I recently drove a Caliber with the CVT, very weird. I much prefer an automatic with stepped gears, kinda like the 4 speed in the Delta cars. Of course, a manual is much more fun in a small car than any automatic.
