  1. I enjoy seeing a Lexus and a Honda in that compromised position.
  2. Congratulations, pop-pop KayCee!
  3. We ended up taking her car because she wanted to take her pup. I drove. Her car turned over 17k miles on this trip. I had the seat height adjustment turned all the way up and I was fine. I could feel the transmission downshift from O/D to third with normal throttle input to keep up speed on hills. I passed a person on level road in MD and it downshifted cleanly and scooted past the poker. Her car feels at least as solid as mine does. She borderline hates it though. She moaned about the lack of power windows and locks, her ass hurt from the "hard" seats, and she finds the seatbelts a nuisance. Now she wants a Kia Soul because she likes the commercial with the hamsters. Someone take her, please. I think my mom and Vipes would make such a pretty pair.:AH-HA_wink:
  4. I walked on an '86 5.0 the other day. Think I have a chance?
  5. An Australian company... OMG yes, an Australian company that is GM, and the only GM unit that still understands how to build an affordable RWD car. What a horror.
  6. Now see I am comfortable in my Cobalt seats. The longest trip I've taken so far was to DC, and I was comfortable. Heck, one of the reasons I looked closer at a Cobalt was the pleasant, comfortable, quiet ride of my mom's '05 base automatic sedan to Maryland last year. Speaking of, I'm taking mom to Maryland in my car later this morning, so I'm going to report back on my impressions. I know she, at age 64, will moan about ease of ingress/egress. The 2-door Echo she had before her Cobalt was easier for her, it was a 2-door with higher seats, bigger door opening, etc. Vipes, can't you just leave the gearshift in 3rd gear, to alleviate the overdrive issue on your hilly back roads? I understand what you're saying, but the transmission in your car is geared and programmed for maximum economy, not maximum fun. No need to move to Kansas and hope for a tornado to carry it away. EDIT: I agree with turbo on the whole voice thing. You sound fine, don't fret, li'l bro!
  7. Croc, what I'm thinking of for the Acadia is a slightly softer version of the Terrain's front end, since the rest of the Acadia's body is softer overall. Nothing jarring and incongruous. For example, I prefer the Outlook front end to the Acadia's current one. An outright lifting of the Outlook front end with GMC grillework might satisfy my curiousity. Anyone up for a chop down in the appropriate section?
  8. Hyper, that makes no sense what. so. ever. Once a brand is shut down, and all the media surrounding that event, you really think GM will spend the money it will take to reintroduce that brand to customers? That is an insane idea.
  9. No, I just think the Acadia looks obsolete now with the Terrain hitting the scene.
  10. ewww... so all that hair on your back, little ass, and brow is actually the scalps of innocent GM fans?
  11. *grabs another set of cuffs and snicks them on Camino* you'll have plenty of time to cool your heels where you're goin', buddy!
  12. We have a black, four door '51 Plymouth Cranbrook in our shop for an alignment, sent from the restoration shop across the street.
  13. Well I'm ashamed of myself. Happy Birthday!
  14. Duffy - Stepping Stone
  15. meat pie, eh?
  16. I'd be all Joe Friday on your ass as I push your head down and into the Hemi-powered Charger patrol car for your ride to the slammer. Just the facts, ma'am!
  17. Even the prissiest looking dog will revert to its true nature when released. I'll bet those little fellas had a blast.
  18. barnyard
  19. I hope an Acadia MCE is coming soon, with a Terrain-like front clip and real red taillights, instead of the Pep Boys ricer specials stuck in there now.
  20. Nick called it, and I agreed with him.
  21. 13" Dayton gold plated wires, with spinner caps. Full hydraulics. Chain steering wheel. Gold velour interior with a naked chick embroidered into the headliner. Just subtle mods, nawmsayin'?
  22. You're just mad it doesn't come in purple.
  23. It has that extra something other vehicles in this class lack: presence, authority, masculinity. It stands alone in this class for those reasons.
  24. Buick was the absolute Ground Zero for GM at its founding. Getting rid of Buick would be getting rid of its very soul.
  25. A copy of the X6, which is a ridiculously useless vehicle. Which makes this thing even more ridiculously useless.
