  1. Theres a few road race fans here. I follow some of the series and make a few posts when GM gets some good results, which has been alot and all of the major events, but still very little responce. This is a great place if interior plastics and their exact arrangement is your fetish I look forward to Sebring and Daytona but from the livingroom. This year we hope to make the ALMS at Limerock, Id like to catch a Rolex GrandAm at Watkins Glen but I doubt we will this year. We've been to the Rolex historic (Limerock) twice now and thats fun. Ferrari/Maserati weekend once, that really meant alot to me. I do dream of getting to Sebring someday and I thought that road Atlanta race I watched this year was awsome, thats quite a track too.
  2. Yep, thats it, now the highway infront of you is nothing but a sea of lightbulbs and flashes from the side. Total nonsence shoved down our throats from insurance companies and col ledge grads determined to make their important mark on socioty. "Well we did a study and found that when some cars had their lights on and other didnt the ones with their lights on stood out " ah duh ! Too bad driving is all about distance perception, speed contrast/judgment, unimpaired peripheral awareness, ect, ect. Not a sea of lightbulbs. I remember when they dropped the speed limit in NY to 55, "but it saves lives" yaright, we're all still driveing around 65 mph but were doing it in fear. The real answer was "look at all the money" I spent more than a few evenings in my life watching the traffic court cash register go chi-ching. You could see the glow and feel the fever in the judges eyes. Then I think it was Kerry imposed the "court surcharge" in addition to fines. A $10 fee for all guilty, he liked it so much within a few years it was at 25, now its 50 or 75 I forget, that must equal millions per month statewide. I have been blessed in recent years but its just a matter of time, damn you for not stareing at your speedometer. Now I have to do it with oncomming lights a blazin. Im gonna carry a Qbeam on my dash, then they'll all know when Im commin. I wont have to stop for red lights, stop signs, nothing, I'll be able to drive just like Im the only one that counts because Ill know everyone can see me. shakeshead and sighs
  3. No, you go read the defination of monochromatic then come back to my post its just so mind boggling isnt it ?
  4. monochromatic - boring drab lacking character contrast and vision also found in personalities big word - if you say so
  5. The idiots probably had the window cracked.
  6. Sounds like it did well but they didnt like the typical GM ride & steer chemistry. A cab seal problem and the shift linkage. To bad they have to rate them but that gives them that godly presence of importance. I got part way through the Mazda part and I got to tell you they sound like a bunch of whinny bitches. The turbo made a "raspy industrial" sound.......wah, wah, wah. If only they all sounded the same, exactly like what ever the little whiners favorite "sound" is. "even on long dull interstate you can feel the "athletic tension" woowe ! how intence, how godly, how important these people really are. Almost like the rebirth of William Shakespear taint it ? They start out bitching about the Jetta non stop but yet by the end somehow find a way to get her to first place. :AH-HA_wink: OK got it
  7. air conditioning is for lame blatting pussys. Deaths are good for socioty, if we did not have air conditioning survival of the fittest would once again apply and the world would be rid of these whimpy assed pussys. We have energy concernes and these lame ducks have more lights running up their driveways than the average person has in their house and they are on from dusk till dawn. So my question is are the wimps scared of the dark or are they ignorantly arrogant ? ............BOTH ! Arrogant whimps afraid of the dark and outside elements who dont give a damn about anything, unless its necessary during conversation.
  8. Nope, not midengined, they are front engined. Mid engine is behind passenger compartment, infront of axle. "midship" easily identified by greater distance from rear of door to axle, which in most cases is at the very back of the cars with little to no overhang. Behind the axle front mount easily identifiable by the long nose, great distance from back of tire to front of door, no "cab forward" there. All front engined sports cars have been behind the front axle mount, since the early Ferraris or Alfas.....even earlier with say like American Auburns or you name it, all old cars, sports cars or not had the front axle pushed to the front, nothing new there. I believe even the first Corvettes were behind the axle mounts. My Alpine and MGs, Healeys you name it are all mounted behind the axle or best way to look at it is the suspension is mounted infront of the engine. Only grey area might be the affordable transverse mounts where the engine was barely infront of the rear axle, like the X1/9, Scorpion, MR2, Fiero but they still are not rear engined either so they get mid engine status.
  9. Their different ?

    IS350 Review

Na, sorry Id take the GXP or would rather hunt down a Comp G Thanks for the photos, it proved my point.
  11. agreed but dont you think we still need to worry ? We'll be flooded with these Chinese yugos until the last thread of American industrialization come squeeking to a hault..........then what ? We all wear T shirts that say "Ive been sodomized" "me and my family work for the Chinese" "its OK because the Govs son can afford a Grand Cherokee...if he could find one"
  12. Slingin mud ? excavator ? shovel ? hoe ? hoe is always good on Bday, hard to get family approval however. I had good F13, talked to nearly every employer Ive had over the past 5 years and found they would all hire me back if they had the work........... maybe in spring. I guess Im going to frame houses again........whatsamatter U course #9.
  13. What ? Shes not to good ? I just saw Oregon or Washington has a female governer too ? I really dont see where taking note or making note of China coming is wrong or stupid, much more than note should be taken. You will see the future is not in American hands, you have been sodomized but the foreplay made you more accommodating.
  14. Someone got banned and I missed it ??????// Well they darn well oughta been, posting front engined sports cars on a mid engine beautys thred when we have a new Camaro and no one could give a damn.......with murderous yard cruisers runnin loose...... no less...............geeze
  15. All those Datsun/Nissans were pitiful, see they ran out of great European & American cars to riplicate so they went off on their own and the true colors came shinin through. That Scamp on the other hand was a perfect car. Nicely styled with no overstatement and no weak proportions to screw it up. A perfect car for the people and sell it did. The rear window is a fine piece of art.
  16. OK but who is Granholm ?
  17. The disapointment for me was 75 with the wrap around rear window, followed by the plastic front header combined with waht I thought at that time was tacky graphics. I now like most of these items because they go "back to the day". Growing up on chrome when bumpers were eliminated for that plastic it just didnt look right. I like it now but will never like that rear window, ever, I wish they would get it the hell off the Corvette too. Its been 30 years ........OK ? Favorite part about the 70-74... the huge fastback, enormous C pillor. "that which is behind you is of no importance". Thats what sports cars are about, seclusion. Today we tint windows to get some of the same effect. 70-74 are my favorites for this reason and the raised front headlights which also offered a flash back to early 60's European sports cars. Its the "Berlinetta" look I love. Last disappointment was when the Camaro sorta looked like the Sebring from the front and the mostly character absent sides of all the big balogna styling comeing out of GM during the 90's, Including my LSS. Im so glad they are finding some contoure and wheel flares again. Edge & fold & crease & contour is where its at, tubes are for guitar amps...
  18. I do appreaciate how your posting this has shown all this interior buzz is subject to speculative opinion only. I can draw back to the 80's for ones I appreaciate as well. I can only finish my post by saying "ah ! look at all the nice variations of interior possibilities, I like them all.......because they do not look the same"
  19. Reg you need to lay off that stuff, its clouding your thinkin. there is no lack of passenger room in H/C body, sorry. Also the 90* B U I C K V6 was and still is GM's most compact V power unit. The Denali peaked 60* and even taller Everest DOHC 60* however do present packageing/servicability problems. 6" clear air between fan motors and manifold ? really ? Maybe if raising the hood 4" to shorten it 4" is the answer we should all just switch over to minvans because thats what these new tall cars are beginning to look like.
  20. "by $6 billion a year by the end of 2006 and reduce material costs by $1 billion." = 4 billion modern math Will anyone ever speculate on whether this years losses included the money paid to Fiat or not ? Im also wondering why we are not hearing about retirements leading to elimination of job bank rather than "health care and pension cuts" first? Id also like to know how they are reducing material costs ? that could be a scary thought.
  21. I did not read this entire topic so I have no idea what anyone else posted You all know Im down with this part "Cut its $2 a share annual dividend in half to save $566 million a year; cut pay significantly for top executives and directors" followed by - job banks gone as soon as legally possible or the Union could take care of it now and not pay for the ignorance come 07 contract time. However cutting off limbs is a great way to bleed to death, see year 2000 when we began elimination of nearly half a million model and brand sales. so what color is saturin ????? pink ? like a salmon up the creek 22_,000 sales sorry that just slipped out. They ought to be out, concentrating on perception & quality instead of sitting in a board room all day long trying to figure out how to chop chop chop. But that would be like moving the tides. Easier to chop than hit the floors and see whats up. the only thing they can do now is sell the cars and make sure owners are happy with the product and give it time to turn around. Chop chop is only going to send message that theres a madman in the henhouse and we all know everyone smiles at the madman as they turn and briskly walk in opposite direction.
  22. Wow 1.6 million lost sales since 85, that is not good. How come some of those news articals posted were saying GM had its 2nd or 3rd? largest sales year last year ? Maybe that was global ? What is the breakdown per year from 85 -90 or tell me where to go look - please. It appears this was possibly partly a huge rejection of the large FWD GM's between 85-90, which is to bad because they were the best cars GM made at that time. I know its off topic sort of, but I find it interesting to see when the changes took place and 85-90 was a large sales drop. I wouldnt look at domestics back then but that was perception, I had no idea the big BOP cars were getting 20-25 mpg, nor that they were finally capable of 150,000+ mostly trouble free miles.
  23. wanna explain what your talking about....if you can ? Please be sure to respond in direct connection to actual statements I have made so as to prove your point not just continue to drag out some fiction and throw insults around. I have plenty of valid arguements against any claims that GM made nothing but junk for 30 years. Seems you all are the ones having the hard time proving any maturity or reason to your continous nonstop degradation of GM products and anyone that stands up for them and stands their ground. Hell continous throwing of insults is absolutely mindless, desperate and reeks of direct magazine qoutes. Then theres the little tag teams the Cali crowd always regresses to. Now ya wanna tell me about mindless, unintelligible nonsence ? I actually enjoy the desperation your post has shown, just attack your perceived view of my "education", amusing  . What do you really have ? Opinions you want everyone to believe is fact. Opinions you want carved in stone. Check around.
  24. My parents had one of them too, only vacumn they ever bought new. We must be on our 4th in 15 years and thats starting to leak dust out too. "Plastic, changing the quality of products........forever !" I remember that Electrolux when she got it, it was one of those door to door salesmen, came by and did the demo.
