  1. I'm going to do it, just for fun--I'm going to try and write it up as professional-sounding as possible :) Paulie's Uber-Long-Term Review
  2. I have never been on a roller coaster before ;) I'm not sure why not--I mean, yes, I'm scared of them, but I've been bungee jumping, so I can't imagine it's much worse, no?

    Ages?

Okay, I'm 28. What can anyone tell me about some cars during the year 1977?
  4. Oh man, it makes me want to write up a review of my 1992 Buick Century, just for shits and giggles!
  5. I don't know if this counts, but I have a wealthy friend that only until a few years ago, never owned a car that had less than 8 cylinders (it so happens, he went down to a twin turbo V6 Audi S4 when he "downgraded")... He said to me while sitting in my 1987 Plymouth Sundance, "Hey, Paolo, this is great... let me get my grandfather's lawn mower and I'll race ya!" Or how about the time he insisted I put down all the windows (I didn't have power windows), when I was driving 70 to the beach. He reclined his chair back, and rolled both rear windows down at the same time, expressing, "Hey, I like this, it's a good workout." At least he makes it up to me by letting me drive his cars LOL I got another one for you... I won a bet when I tried to convince a guy at school I had a V8 in my Sundance... came out to the car, pulled the bottle out of the back seat! LOL
  6. I like the one that's mooning us, and I kinda like the drool/drowning one... but that's about it.

OMG Nick! I just noticed there were Chevy Bowties on the girls breasts in your signature! I mean, for months and months, I had been almost hypnotized by their bouncing, but today I was able to look past it, and notice your salute to Chevy
  8. Welcome Frosty! LORD STAFFORD, where are you?!
  9. Yay... I love smilies :) I'm always finding new ones I'd love to see up on the board. Maybe I'll post a few. By the way, what is this one supposed to mean: ^_^ Giddy?
  10. I think all manufacturers should be tested--this way it's a fair comparison of what the competition offers and how it behaves/handles, etc. I like the idea of people doing reviews. It's always nice to see non-professional pictures and reviews to get a realistic idea of what a car is like.

Man, I'm trying to come up with anything funny to add to this post, but everyone's just doin' so damn well on their own!

    Hot or Not?

Voted "not". Cause they're just boring.
  13. *softly spoken* "And tonight ladies and gentlemen, we will be learning how to make faux wood for the interior trim of a Buick LaCrosse out of ordinary candle wax, chewing gum, and cinnamon sticks. But first, a word from my Paroll Officer, errr.... my sponser." Okay people, now I'm worried about this, did the joke land alright or did I just make an ass out of myself? :P
  14. Yeah, that might be nice if I didn't have to spend like $44,000 on it. How about a LaCrosse that has something powerful like that... maybe a CXS with the 3.6L that gets 260hp and has magnetic ride control for about 32K?
  15. I don't know.. I mean, if I were Buick, I'd be ashamed of their products right about now. There's nothing exciting. There's nothing unique. I mean, the only reason I still have interest in them is because I'm a huge Buick fan--but man, they are having a hard time keeping me interested.
  16. Ven, you have some awesome suggestions. I'd like to see the grille revised on the LaCrosse to match the Lucerne. I like the idea of the 2.8 being available as a base engine. The 3.6 should be bumped up in hp as you suggested, and available for the CXL. I'm just confused as to what's going to happen when the 3.8 is done after this year? I just hope the 3900 doesn't get thrown in, or the 3500 become a LaCrosse/Lucerne base. Time to show the world that Buick indeed can be premium.
  17. Paulie1977 = Paolino I know, big leap, huh? :P
  18. Okay, so a Rendezvous change. Whoopie. I want a sedan. And I doubt they're going to give the LaCrosse some more edge stylewise or some more features (besides maybe a freaking NAV and the 6-speed auto), to pursuade me otherwise.
  19. Well, it's frustrating. To be honest, the DTS refresh should have been packed more than it was. The Lucerne should have had more standard than it does, and a little more offered than it does. The LaCrosse should have had more than it does. HELLO, NAV?! I would buy it if it came in the LaCrosse. And I'm not bumping myself up to a freakin' Lucerne just to get it. What sucks is, the 2006 Impala LT seems like a better buy for me than a LaCrosse would. I never thought I'd say there isn't a Buick out there for me.
  20. Ugh, was checking out more details. Can you believe, there is no option for a telescopic steering wheel? Just a manual tilt. They improved their standard features, but for a car at this price range, I would expect a few more things standard, like telescopic steering wheels, a 6-cd changer, etc. Not impressed.
  21. Only as a CXS? That's absurd. Just make the damn colors available on each trim and be done with it. The fact that they were straying away from the two choices of neutral/gray was such a big deal for me as I was getting bored with those. But giving restraints towards which trims can have whichever colors... almost as bad.
  22. If I remember correctly, the 2005 Deville had a special edition in which it had a grayish-blue interior treatment--seats included. When I read about "tuxedo blue", I naturally assumed it would be this way in the Lucerne. Oh, and ROCK ON about the heated woodgrain steering wheel! :)
