  1. It's 2.15 for 85 here in Denver...I figure it will be back to 2.75 or more by summer..
  2. Makes sense....you have two classes of hybrid buyers--those that are openly green and would buy a Prius or Insight, and those that are closeted who would buy a Camry, Civic, Escape hybrid. A Lexus edition Prius with a full-lux interior would be good.
  3. A coworker of mine has driven through plenty of Colorado snow storms in his Prius... no reason it wouldn't be as drivable as any other compact.
  4. Most Americans don't/can't drive a manual transmission, that's why so few are offered.
  5. Exactly..that's why I won't keep a modern car past 100k miles. 8-9 years is more than long enough for me to keep a car..(my old cars are pretty simple by comparison and are only driven a few thousand miles a year). With my next new car purchase, I'll probably go to a 4-5 year trade cycle.
  6. A turbo diesel option for 30+ mpg would be nice.
  7. They don't need to put the 'K' in kwality again, but the Omni/Horizon instead...a modern version of the Omni/Horizon is what Dodge needs in a subcompact, IMHO...
  8. With this car getting the 3.6 as the only available V6, I wonder if the G6 will be the same way by '08 (dump the 3.5 and 3.9).
  9. Yes, people forget this is not a market segment that sells on styling..it sells on value, features, reliability, quality, word of mouth..styling is the least of the concerns of Camry/Accord buyers...
  10. One would think so...I'm surprised they haven't done a Corolla or Yaris hybrid yet. Or a truck hybrid.
  11. Looks good overall...clean and contemporary.... a big improvement over the current model, and the first Chevy sedan in ages that doesn't scream 'rental car', IMHO.. I like the way the wood trim in done inside.
  12. Works for me...I'm a technophile---I love gadgets, esp. useful ones...working in the tech industry, I'm always interested in products and technologies that push things forward..... I'm not interested in staying in the past.
  13. Yawn..just an old truck..does nothing for me.
  14. It has very little in common with the Corvette...just some dirty bits underneath.
  15. 'Rogue' would be better as a Jeep name...surprised Chrysler didn't trademark it, since it is an old AMC name (from the Rambler Rogue ht in the '60s).
  16. The Escalade is just a tarted up Tahoe.. it's hardly a flagship. If Cadillac has a flagship, it's the XLR.
  17. It's hideous..did Toyota hire former Pontiac (Aztek) designers? Ugh...
  18. The cars are one of things I've really enjoyed about watching the 'Rockford Files' box sets.. all those '70s cars. It was my favorite show as a kid, my dad and I used to watch it together in the late '70s.
  19. Ford was the first president I can remember seeing on TV as a kid...I've been to the Ford Library at the U of Michigan, he was an alumnus of my school.. seems like he was a decent guy, and he spent a lot of time and owned a home here in my adopted state of Colorado.
  20. Apples to oranges..Expeditions, Tahoes, Suburbans and other obese SUVs generally aren't used by farmers in the US but families in suburbia.. they are the modern equivalent of the big family station wagons of the past. As long as we have cheap gas, a nation of obese people will continue buying obese vehicles...
  21. The 25 between Colorado Springs and Denver...driven it frequently over the last 9 years..once a week for a while and daily for a while...maybe only once a month in recent years... The 70 between Denver and Dillon and Frisco (up in the mountains)..probably driven it at least once every 4-6 weeks over the last 4 1/2 years.. I used to be very familiar with the route from Ann Arbor, Michigan down to Toledo, across the Ohio Turnpike to Akron, then I-77 down to Newcomerstown..about 250 miles that I drove once a month or so for 3 years when I was in grad school in Michigan...
  22. Not going to happen...companies have to work within the regulations.
  23. Yes, but in the real world, people do...
  24. Why? Consumers don't exclude them....
  25. Because Chevrolet sedans in the US are FWD rental models..
