  1. Looks cool...strong family resembalance to the G35 in the front and greenhouse.
  2. The styling of the SRX has really grown on me..I really like how it looks like a CTS tall wagon more than an SUV..
  3. It certainly sounds impressive on paper... all the right buzzwords--DOHC, RWD, 6-spd, IRS, etc. It will be interesting to see if Hyundai can pull it off. I'm curious about the engine...
  4. Yeah, I don't really get it either..in the real world, jobs are 'at will'... my only bit of job security comes from my performance..
  5. Modern Chrysler radios do the same... it works for me. I'd rather have an LED display (is that what they are (i.e. blue or green or red numbers (color coordinated to the gauge lightning) against a black background) than an LCD display...I truly hate LCD displays (hard to read in most lighting)..same reason I wouldn't want an LCD watch.
  6. I've viewed Honda's participation in motorsport the same way...Honda has always been about engines and technology.. that has always been important to them. I couldn't see Honda in NASCAR, because the idea of Honda building a pushrod V8 with a carb in 2007 is absurd...
  7. I have to laugh at the off road specs..I'm not sure how these capabilities will benefit the H3 in it's natural habit, i.e. suburban housing developments, mall parking lots, Starbucks lots..except for driving over raised medians to make a quick U-turn into Starbucks or over the raised parking lot berms...
  8. Yes..good point. The updated interior in the SRX looks quite good in the pics... and the SRX is the 2nd lightest in the group, over 1000lbs less than the lardy LR3.
  9. I'm still waiting on the Suburban Z06 or Suburban Blue Devil..
  10. The $50k faceoff---MDX Sport (winner), ML350, X5 3.0, XC90 Sport, Touareg V6, LR3 HSE, SRX V8, GX470..
  11. I was spending my time in the doldrums I was caught in the cauldron of hate I felt persecuted and paralyzed I thought that everything else would just wait While you are wasting your time on your enemies Engulfed in a fever of spite Beyond your tunnel vision reality fades Like shadows into the night To martyr yourself to caution Is not going to help at all Because there'll be no safety in numbers When the Right One walks out of the door Can you see your eyes blighted by darkness? Is it true you beat your fists on the floor? Stuck in a world of isolation While ivy grows over the door So I open my door to my enemies And I ask could we wipe the slate clean But they tell me to please go f@#k myself You know you just can't win
  12. ?? I don't see anything wrong with a digital display on the radio... works fine in my Jeep.
  13. The clock looks ok..same color as the gauge lighting, it looks like...
  14. Changing headlights would probably have blown their budget, I presume... since the W only has a couple years left, they probably couldn't justify the investment...
  15. I wonder if it comes with 'Don't Mess with Texas', 'W04', and 'NRA' stickers already on the rear window or rear bumper.. What a stereotype.
  16. The next gens seem like a long ways away... the Epsilon Dos LaX and Zeta Lucerne can't arrive soon enough, I think..
  17. Hilarious looking..I wonder what a 'licensed bailment pool converter' is?
  18. I don't see the argument either...Pontiac's been on life support for ages, building blah FWD rental cars..they are finally turning things around with the Solstice and G8.. I'd rather have the M3 for its compact size and 2drs. The CTS-v is more a competitor for the M5, IMHO...
  19. Wierd..I don't see the big deal with Pontiac having a rebadged Holden. After all, Holdens aren't sold in the US, so it's not like it's a clone of something else at a dealership across the street. I'd much rather drive a modern G8 than a dated FWD Grand Prix rental car...
  20. Strange that the Lucerne Super has lower horsepower than the LaCrosse Super. Different engines I know, and the LaX Super output is the same as other Ws with V8s, but shouldn't the Lucerne be more super since it's the senior model?
  21. On a similar thread, one of my coworkers came up to me today and was excited...'You have to see my new car! I'll drive to lunch'. Ok...he didn't say what it was, but ok. So four of us leave at 11:30 with him, and walk to the parking garage...and get in his shiny new... '07 Corolla. White with a gray interior, automatic. Replaced his '99 that was white with a gray interior, automatic. Very exciting. Not.
  22. ?
  23. It really doesn't matter what name they use..these are using the generic COT body, so they could just use 'Chevrolet', 'Ford', 'Dodge' and 'Toyota' decals instead of model names. I don't see how using a particular model name on a generic NASCAR would 'stimulate sales', since there is no relationship between the race car and the production car.
  24. Cool..one of my coworkers is very good with voices, and does a spot-on Milton.
  25. Cool..I have my red Swingline stapler and Initech coffee mug in my cube at work. At a previous job, my nickname was 'Hallbert'. I have both a Dilbert day-by-day calendar and a wall calendar in my cube.
