Doogie Howser 'MO
OK, so there are exceptions - I'm not saying lesbians live hassle-free lives. However, men do seem to get a lot more flack than women for being gay.

Doogie Howser 'MO
Quoted for truth This will hit some selected straight guys - those who were fans of the show. If you care enough about a celebrity because you are a fan, you will care about their sexuality, because their person interests you. I would be interested to know if certain musicians came out of the closet - not because I want to bash them, but because I am genuinely interested in finding out about their life, and all the "Behind the Music"-type details. The gay community needs a lot more support than the lesbian community. All the homophobes go after men, for some dumb reason.

Least Safe Cars of 2007
Sorry, but I just don't see the big car debate. It's like saying, "I'm going to wear a football helmet all the time, cause something might fall on my head". Sure, it could happen, just like I could get in an accident with the Cobalt that could kill me that I would survive in an SUV. Am I going to let that dictate what I drive? NO. There are a lot of things in life that could kill you. In my view, you have to not worry about 90% of them, or you will go insane...

200K miles
1 Mile is almost exactly 1,609 meters. That is, 1.609 km. Most people take that as 1.6 km exactly, because it is an easy translation. As a car company, you would hope they would be a bit more precise, but I guess not...

My birthday is...
blu: Yes, I did get more than I bargained for. It's nice to see people actually respond to one of my threads for a change though... They built the Pentagon during WWII? What happened to rationed materials??

My birthday is...
You can look at certain days of the year in Wikipedia, and it will tell you all the historical things that happened on that day in various years. My birthday seems to be fairly significant in American history, a few times. Interesting... June 19: * 1846 - The first baseball game under recognizable modern rules is played in Hoboken, New Jersey, United States. * 1862 - U.S. Congress prohibits slavery in United States territories, nullifying the Dred Scott Case. * 1865 - Over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, slaves in Galveston, Texas, United States, are finally informed of their freedom. The anniversary is still officially celebrated in Texas and 13 other contiguous states as Juneteenth. * 1870 - After all of the Southern States are formally readmitted to the United States of America, the Confederate States of America (AKA the CSA) ceases to exist. * 1885 - The Statue Of Liberty arrives in New York Harbor as a symbol of Franco-American friendship. * 1912 - The eight-hour work day is established in the United States. * 1934 - The Communications Act of 1934 establishes the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC). * 1939 - Lou Gehrig was diagnosed with "Lou Gehrig's disease" on his 36th birthday. * 1949 - NASCAR sanctions the first "strictly stock" race, which will evolve into the modern Nextel Cup. Jim Roper wins the event. * 1961 - Kuwait declares independence from the United Kingdom.

Winter rims
No interest in aftermarket rims. Waste of money IMO. Black rims during the winter is fine for me. Trust me, the salesman understood what I meant. He said that since the car's suspension had spent time with a different set of wheels and tires, the new wheels and tires to be put on would need to be balanced. I actually was told that from more than one source - is that wrong?

Chrysler Targets Asian-Americans in New Ads
Balth - go to Markham. You'll see what he means. Then come to Toronto, and note how different the attitudes of all the immigrants are. They know English, for the most part.

Video testing the Lexus auto-park feature
I still don't really know what to think of this feature. Can't see the video, just commenting on the LS in general. On one hand, I agree that it is an essential skill. For me, I like to be connected to the road and know I have the skill to drive properly, which is part of the reason why I drive a manual. However, I also understand those who drive automatics - and how that ideal could be extended to want this feature. Also, as for the, "If you can't do this, you shouldn't be driving!" comment - I bet people in the past looked at prepared food and thought it was a travesty... "If you can't churn your own butter and kill your own cow, you shouldn't be eating!!"

SEMA Sebring (more pics)
I know this is an odd thing to comment on, but there's something off about the colour of the headlight casing...

Chevrolet Tahoe Street Tuner
Still like those rims. Those intakes are nice too, but a bit too much chrome for my taste.
