  1. Here's the story on the MISSING
  2. I've got a slightly less insulting title.... (too much time member) so I see O.B.s point. I'd like to be "V16 Member" or better yet "Firing on all sixteen cylinders member"
  3. You're the Honda-Acura fan, you have never read anything to that effect? I've got a wife, ex, 4 y.o. daughter & 2.5 jobs so the last thing I have time for is riffling through the internet & Auto-rags for a few select articles/quotes. Anyone on this forum who tries to cll me out on B.S. should have learned by now that I do NOT make $h! up. I'm not MDM, thankyouverymuch.
  4. Damn, those look BETTER than the concept's. I was thinking that might happen, the concept's headlights were a bit too recessed & diminutive. Once again I managed a pretty damn good educated guess since I predicted that Chevrolet would do some variation of the angel-eye.
  5. XP: Dooooooo it. What are you asking advice for? You & me should pull our usual scam, or just bring Amanda and do the same. You asking here what to do (Satty said exactly my policy) is quite funny. Whip out a wad of mixed bills, let him look at the stack of cash & say the usual: "this is ALL my money mister" Remember the '70 Deville? WhatItellya? You did very well by just offering $200 less than their "FIRM", 30 sec. later.
  6. Try what we talked about last night o the phone, call me if you get stuck. Best of luck. I'm off to UPS to load 950 packages on 4 trucks, ttyl.
  7. On many an occasion when asked why they are such losers and make high end luxury cars that send all or most of their power to the FRONT wheels Hon-cura (PR, engineers/product planners)had some nasty things to say about RWD. It was always the same lame, plaid out and weak defense. b-b-b-b-b-but FWD is better for fuel economy and it's more efficient for packaging & weight savings... and my personal favorite: WE WILL NEVER BUILD RWD TRUCKS/SEDANS BECAUSE IT'S BAD FOR MOMMY EARTH! Any yet they still tried to sell those tarted up Accords and Civics as "luxury-sport-sedans" with an Acura emblem being the biggest distinction from the pase grocery getter Honda equivalents. So I guess it is cool that they have seen the light, more RWD product is ALWAYS good, but at the same time it pisses me off cause I hate hypocrites and now there's ANOTHER company that has admitted that FWD is a plague, the the biggest achile's heal of modern cars just as GM is again trying to ram W-body redesign Ver. 3.075 down our collective throats while the tooling for Zeta is doomed to be as underutilized as the '90s B-bodys and '80s G-bodys. x to the seventh power
  8. They can have their Volvo XC90s and Porsche CayennePepper4WDs. It's the '69 Camaros, '36 Pontiacs, '59 Buicks and '61 Cadillacs that make me sad when they leave our shores... not that I take major offense to it, after all in some cases the cars have a better chance at a long, unmolested & loving ownership. I'm personally responsible for a 97% original & pretty solid '64 Olds Super 88 Holiday getting sold/shipped over to the Netherlands. It was a necessary evil so I could buy my '59 LeSabre.
  9. Still better than rice. However for $5000 I can just buy a much more cool REAL '57 Chevy.
  10. WOw... deep. P.S. I still hate the 21st century. I WISH it was 1995 again.
  11. Go look at it in person, if all checks out make him a cash offer on the SPOT.
  12. Still has that ugly "whale penis" look with that GIANT awkward front overhang.
  13. WTF? I applaud Honda Acura finally getting a clue and developing RWD product but at the same time Honda & Acura have shot their mouth off on MANY an occasion about their disdain for RWD and their commitment to FWD & Front-biased-AWD. They're always putting their foot in their mouth.
  14. 1. stay the hell away from the Taurus/Sable wagons, ESP. with the Ford 3.8 V6 which is a great example of a car that sells well but gives American cars a BAD NAME. (meaning the '95-07) 2. Your mom should go with a SWB Mopar van. the devil you know..... Ditto.
  15. From my cold, dead hands. That goes for firearms AND my 'Merican made, 8-piston internal combustion devices.
  16. Cool, great concept. Not originla by any means but kudos on the followthrough. He actually got a website up, I've just got a notebook full of ideas.
  17. I too have had a life long loveaffair wirth the 2nd gen. Firebird/TA. There used to be a daily driven gold/gold Firebird Espirit in the Haverhill area that was clean and straight... it was always such a cool but also slightly awkward sight to see a '70-'73 Firebird with no rear spoiler, ground effects, plain-jane hood, steel roof or any of the other Firebird-isms like a screaming chicken on the hood.
  18. Love that chopped 'Vette... looks like a restyled C6... like a hot rodded, chopped 21st century Greenwood Corvette.
  19. Best of luck with Kim. & do NOT say a F&^$#ng WORD to the insurance co. NOT A WORD. Anything and everythiung you say will be used against YOU!
  20. '66 Impala 4dr hardtop... http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/car/700445645.html Is ths Jay Leno...? (I lived in Andover, MA for half my childhood... Jay is FROM Andover) http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/car/714659277.html
  21. I managed a 7.9 sec. 0-60 time in my '97 Grand Am SE (same 3.1 liter V6) ...ONCE

There's one things that the Gran Turismo games have always lacked, visual damage to the cars. If I side-swipe a guardrail at 130mph in my '69 Camaro I want to see a crease in the fender and the game should render a major flaw in alignment, & aerodynamics.
  23. I'll reserve final judgment for a real photo. One thing is for certain, that pizza-slice shaped black out panel on the C-pillar looks both cheap and ugly.
  24. Japanese cars, with their THINNER sheet-metal are MUCH more prone to rot-through, & as such I hate to disagree but I def. see WAY more Japanese cars with fist-sized rust holes in the rockers/rear 1/4s and doors. Again, all things being equal. model year and such esp. Unfortunately your poor high-miliage Shadow is not a good example of a solid domestic.
  25. Are you talking to ME or the 70% or so of this forum that is constantly getting their panties in a bunch over the number of cup holders in a FWD, unibody crossover/SUV or the grain/texture of the door panels & other idiotic qualities like opaque vs. matte instrumentation needles. I could care less about most of the attributes you guys consider "important" and just because I'm in the minority does NOT mean my opinion is any less valid. P.S. Take a joke.
