Project Shadow Updates
Hhhahahah... yeah, I sold the LT1 powered Estate last summer, this black behemoth is a tbi-350 powered steel-roof sedan, it was purchased in Jan. of 2008 for $200. I pulled it out of a snowbank with the 240D and threw a battery in it (the duralast gold out of the datsun) and now, 11,000 miles later my total investment in the car after purchase price & repairs is $450. [not incl. oil changes & gasolina]

The title of the thread gave it away. Saw that a few times in the 1980s.... and just recently with Sofia, great story.

Duh: Cadillac shelves that whole V12 thing
What part of "ultra luxuy" do you not understand? Wo said GM should even sell 500 "Sixteens"? Even if they sold 50 or 25 a year... it would do more for Cadillac"s image here in the USA & abroad than aything since... well since the original ohv V16. Yup... I hear most Bugatti Veyron customers are very concerned about the replaement cost of the 4 turbos... get real, this would not be marketed as a car to replace the SLS & Catera. At one point, the 8-liter, V10 Dodge Viper, W16 Veyron & McLaren F1 were just figments of overactive imaginations... even the relatively tame Gen.5 Camaro was, according to many here on C&G said to be the stuff of fantasy...

Duh: Cadillac shelves that whole V12 thing
Are yu for real?, shifting the argument from AMGs, M5s & CTS-Vs to hybrids & the green movement is pretty silly don't you think? "al gore would not aprove of a V16 powered Cadillac..." No ucfking s#it sherlock. Remind me again what the MPGs of a Bugatti Veyron? or how about the Maybach 62? or Bentley?

Spy Shot: Chevy Volt caught from the beltline up
And there you have it... my interest went from "high" to "zero". This is typical GM bull$hit half-assing! Too bad, other than the terrible proportions it's an improvement over the concept... detailing & greenhuse looks quite nice.

Got broken into
In a perfect world one free crack to the craneum from a baseball bat/golf club/2x4 would be allowed if some piece of scum societal reject stole your $h! from your car by breaking your window & then came back to reapeat it for a second time!!!

California uses more gas than China!
Maybe California breaking off the No. American continent and sinking into the Pacific really WILL happen... And Al Gore will weep with extacy.

FoG: I like the baseball bat idea, BUT... I like to keep an old, scummy golf club handy, makes for a faster splice with even more damage to soft tissue & in court it seems more tame than the typical "thug-life" baseball bat. Don't you mean Canada?

Heard on the radio at 3:30am... (I think it was a commercial with Ted Bruski) ---- The chicken is involved in your breakfast, but the pig... well the pig is commited! BE THE PIG!!! ---- I've rabbel-roused at UPS & got the entire Marlboro Center Chanting: BE THE PIG! I love being a trouble maker... I think next weeks' theme at UPS, will be DI-DI-MAO! I'll have to motivate all my pirate & serial-killer co-workers to chant that as we load packages as if on crack & three gallons of caffeene. (DI-DI-MAO -sp?) means "hurry up!" in vietnamese... Watch the Deer Hunter if you're "lost", there's a gorgeous shot of the nose of a '59 Buick Electra in the opening sceene too.

Holy Hondas, Batman!

Faster than an M5: First Cadillac CTS-V performance test published
Okay, I'll play, although your insesant rants are starting to be quite broken-record like: AGAIN, why did Chevrolet (GM) win the 24 hrs of LeMans in a PUSHROD powered Corvette MULTILPE times against a factory backed team of cars like DOHC V12 Ferraris? Now how's about a nice cup of STFU?! :AH-HA_wink:

Hey You, Future Buick Compact Car...
That Peugeot is disgusting! The gross front overhang makes an '89 Dodge Dynasty look attractive. The Mazda is quite bland stylistically, but clean & unoffensive, and the Infiniti EX35, like many Infiniti products from the past few years, is very attractive and would be a serious contender for my money if I was in the mood for a "modern crossover" (which I'm NOT)

Green 1997/1998 Toyota Camry
It's the PASSING lane... if cars are flying past you in the MIDDLE lane, incl. tractor trailers, then you need to get the F*** out of the passing lane (or "fast lane" laymen's terms). PERIOD. There's nothing accomplished by trying to hogg the passing lane except road rage, MORE speeding & angry motorists who are now, as a result of (the green Camry, or whoever) will end up putting temselves into a MORE dangerous situation. I do not tailgate, used to 9, 10 years ago... but you live & LEARN. 66S: I have to disagree with you, as we've stated before in previous threads, the Toyota drivers PER CAPITA! are the crapiest around! Lots & lots of Camrys + very high percentage of poor drivers in them = Dangerous/Clueless/Awkward/Painfully Idiotic driving situations involving a Toyota at fault: 60-70% from my experince. ----- Oh, & at about 6pm last night I saw a Rav4 trying to make a 3-point turn but fuc*ing it up like a dog trying to type on a blackberry... best part: it was on an OFF-RAMP to 495!

Here you go Dodgefan....
The Toyopet 2000GT was a Japanime rippoff of the Jag E-type & other Euro-GTs. B-pillar aside it was a very cool, but unoriginal car. The Camry of Austin Martin DB5s.

Green 1997/1998 Toyota Camry
I just spent 4 miles and about 4 minutes behind a Toyopet Camry that was blocking the passing lane in a 65mph zone, driving about 65/70 and refusing to yield after several motorists flashed their lights, honked horns & even flipped him off. This stretch of highway is usually flowing at about 85mph this time of day, same traffic flow, and all else being the same. Freightliners carrying gasoline tankers & Mack trucks hauling bulldozers were whizzing by him in the center lane while a line of about a dozen cars is behind this inconsiderate prick. Outrageous.

The Official MPG Thread
If I even try to post anything about that.... that thing my head will explode. You sure that this isn't chinese made?
-
The Official MPG Thread
oh.... on a related note, remember that freekin stupid concept Toyota made in like 1998? blatant rippoff of the H1 in terms of styling AND basic mechanicals: the motor was a 4-liter 4-cyl.
-
The Official MPG Thread
One of the most basic and elemental rules of science, which also happens to be IMHO just plain 'ol common sense is lost on 99.9% of ricers, 75% of snoby import humping blockheads & our freekin' government. It takes fuel to make power. It takes MORE fuel to make MORE power. Stock, your little Civic sedan that is meant to go "over the river & through the woods to grandmother's house" and it does so well... as does a Cobalt or Celica or WHATEVER, but if you buy it talking about how you're gonna put the hurtin' on that '72 Trans Am with 455 power by installing a turbo that is bigger than the damn bell-housing on a 5-0 Mustang AND get great MPGs while you blow everyone's doors off at the track.... Well, you're a fu*ktard pure and simple. Annnnd chances are you have no clue WTF you are talking about and in order to run that 11.8 sec. time in the 1/4 mile that you're bragging about as your Civic HX still sits in the driveway an 18 sec. car, will need $40,000 worth of work, after which, as the laws of physics, common sense & science dictate: you'll be EXACTLY where that 455-powered Pontiac Trans Am is in terms of fuel economy: pretty damn poor... like low teens AT BEST!
