  1. Mercedes-Benz has been releasing a surprising amount of information on the upcoming 2019 G-Class before its debut at the Detroit Auto Show. Last month, the German automaker dropped some information concerning the interior. This latest batch of information deals with the off-road capability, something that only a small number of G-Class owners will take advantage of. Mercedes says the 2019 G-Class will retain a ladder-type frame, three differential locks, and a low range ratio. The front features an independent suspension setup with double wishbones on the axle. The rear retains a solid axl
  2. Volkswagen has dropped some new sketches of the upcoming 2019 Jetta that will debut next month at the Detroit Auto Show. Compared to the current model, the redesigned Jetta looks to be more upscale. The front end comes with a hexagonal grille shape, sculpted hood, and angled headlights. Along the side is a pronounced character line and lowered roofline. The back comes with an integrated spoiler for the trunk and a dual exhaust system with chrome accents - likely on higher trims. Inside, the Jetta looks to be somewhat luxurious with an improved design for the dash, optional digital instrum

  4. Acura dropped both a teaser photo and video of the 2019 Acura RDX Prototype. The RDX is an important vehicle for Acura as its the second-best selling model for the brand - the larger MDX is the best selling model. The teaser image doesn't reveal much about the RDX Prototype's design aside from a distinct character line running along the doors and rear fender and a lowered roofline. The video, on the other hand, gives us some more clues. The front loses the beak grille and will transition to the shield grille that debut on the Precision concept back in 2016. Inside, the RDX Prototype

  6. Previous Page Next Page Mazda will be showing off two concepts at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month that will show the future of their SkyActiv powertrain and Kodo design language. Concept one is a preview of next-generation 3 hatchback. We really can't tell much about the design from the teaser photo provided by Mazda, aside from a lowered roofline. This concept will feature Mazda's upcoming SkyActiv-X powertrain, which will be the first mass-produced gas engine that uses compression ignition. Concept two is what Mazda calls their 'Next-Generat

  8. For some, the announcement made by Ford's Asia Pacific is a dream come true. In a teaser video, a prototype Ranger is seen being put through its paces while undergoing testing in the Australian Outback. Towards the end of the video, the name Ranger Raptor is revealed and will be arriving in Asia Pacific markets next year. There isn't much to go on in terms of concrete details. It appears the Ranger Raptor will only come in the Double Cab configuration and feature a new grille - possibly the same one as seen on the F-150 Raptor. We're expecting some of the ideas from the F-150 Raptor's sus

But thanks to some magic from Photoshop, we have a good idea of what it will look like. The front end comes with Hyundai's new grille that made its debut on the Sonata and a similar headlight arrangement like the Jeep Cherokee. There is also a little slit above the grille. Other design details on the Kona include black body cladding, significant sculpting on the doors, and a partly blacked-out rear pillar. We don't any mechanical details, but we

  12. Subaru is taking a page out of Honda's playbook with previewing new models via thinly disguised concepts. This morning at the New York Auto Show, the Japanese automaker unveiled the Ascent Concept. To our eyes, the Ascent looks like a bigger Forester. Yes, it does have a more muscular look with a large grille and sculpting along the doors. The back end reminds us of the Levorg sold elsewhere in the world as it features similar styling. Move inside and the Ascent offers seating for up to seven people. The dashboard is concept-esq with touch-sensitive controls for the infotainment sys

Acura has released a teaser for the model before its debut at the New York Auto Show next month. The image shows off the TLX's new front end with the diamond shape grille and oversized Acura logo first shown on the Precision concept from last year. There is also a set of the company's 'Jewel-Eye' headlights. "The 2018 TLX will receive new styling elements that ratchet up its emotion and reflect Acura's focus on Precision Crafted Performance. 16. Fisker is beginning to drop information on their new vehicle called EMotion along with some clear images of the model. The design is.. well... out there. The side profile looks be a Karma that has been squished. There are tall wheel wells and deep cuts in the doors. The front end is something - we're going with the policy if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything. The vehicle is built out of aluminum and carbon fiber. Fisker is already making some claims about the EMotion such as the vehicle having "superb rear legroom." "Fisker has taken advantage of the newly develop

The LC 500h will come with the company's next-generation hybrid powertrain, the Lexus Multi-Stage Hybrid System. Lexus is keeping quiet on the details for the new hybrid system, but rumors have the hybrid model using a V6 paired with an electric motor producing 470 horsepower or so. Expect slight changes such as discrete hybrid badging and a new instrument cluster. Source: Lexus Press Release is

  20. Mercedes Benz will be doing the full reveal of the 2017 Mercedes Benz E-Class on Monday, January 11th, however images of the car slipped out ahead of time. The exterior design of the new E-Class won't shock anyone as it now looks like a larger C-Class or smaller S-Class. The current E-Class is one of the oldest sedans in Mercedes' line-up and this move brings it up to date with the rest of the family look. Primary motive power is expected to come from a 2.0 liter turbo 4-cylinder and a twin-turbo V6. Alternative fuel minded customer will again have a diesel option this time with an all new

  22. Hyundai's new luxury sub-brand, Genesis has revealed a pair of design sketches for its first model, the G90. This model will be the brand's flagship and replace the Equus sedan. Hyundai describes the G90 as “elegantly designed” and “technology packed.” This will be the first production model to use the Genesis' ‘Athletic Elegance’ design language. The sketches show off a sedan that is low-slung with a long hood, small greenhouse, and a fastback silhouette. 24. In the luxury flagship sedan hierarchy, the Lexus LS is currently the oldest. But Lexus is planning a replacement in the near future. To give us an idea of what's to come, Lexus has revealed the LF-fC concept at the Tokyo Motor Show. You will instantly recognize the LF-fC as a Lexus thanks to the 'L-finesse' design language with such items as a large, spindle grille, massive vents in the front bumpers, and creases along the bottom edges. Interestingly, the LF-FC has an overall length of 208.4 inches. That's four inches longer than the current long-wheelbase LS and a touch longer than the c
