  1. At first glance, a new set of spy photos shows what appears to be a Hyundai Genesis sedan that has been stretched. But according to Automobile Magazine, what we are looking at is the next-generation Equus flagship. The mule appears to be riding on a longer wheelbase. This is hinted by a large piece of sheetmetal riveted behind the rear doors. Also giving some credence that we're looking at the next Equus. Driving along with the mule was a BMW 7-Series. Not much is known about the next-generation Equus, but Automobile Magazine speculates that the model will share the Genesis' platform and come with the option of all-wheel drive. As for when we'll see the model, 2016 or 2017 seems very likely. Source: Automobile Magazine

  3. Ford is readying the 2015 Mustang, while Dodge is getting the refreshed 2015 Challenger ready to be sent out to dealers. What does Chevrolet have in store for the Camaro? Well the first set of spy shots have come out and it appears there is a lot in store. Underneath all of the heavy camouflage, we can tell that Chevrolet is going with a more aggressive look and a lowered roofline. The wheels appear to have been moved closer to either end, and the rear end has been trimmed a little. Other details to take note include the quad exhaust pipes, large hood vents, and a big spoiler. This leads to some speculation that we're looking at high-performance model such as the SS or ZL1. Under the skin, the next-generation Camaro is expected to use the Alpha platform which should drop the curb weight by a fair margin. The engine lineup is expected to include a V6, V8s, and the turbocharged 2.0L from the Cadillac ATS. Source: Autoblog William Maley is a staff writer for Cheers & Gears. 5. The Ford Raptor is a model beloved by many for its ability to drive really quick over the rough stuff. But with the next-generation F-150 switching to aluminum, it seemed the Raptor wouldn't comeback for a repeat performance. But new spy shots that appeared on Autoblog show that the Raptor may be coming back. The spy shots show off a F-150 with Raptor parts on the front and rear, while the center is the upcoming 2015 model. Also, our eyes see some beefy A-arm suspension pieces along with the tall ride height. We're not sure what is powering this mule, whether it's a V8 or one of Ford's EcoBoost engines. 7. The past few months have seen numerous spy shots of the Cadillac ATS-V come out. While its good to see that GM is working on it, there hasn't anything groundbreaking in that time. What is groundbreaking is getting the first spy shots of the bigger brother, the upcoming CTS-V. Undergoing some cold-weather testing, the CTS-V is wrapped up in some light camouflage, but there are some giveaways letting you know its true intent. The most noticeable item is the grille treatment with vertical bars. Autoblog says that the V-series will likely have different design traits from the standard models. There's also a meaty set of exhaust pipes sticking out. As for power, sources say a version of the 6.2L Supercharged V8 from the upcoming Corvette Z06 could be under the hood. The CTS-V could make its debut sometime next year as a 2016 model. Source: Autoblog

  9. William Maley Staff Writer - CheersandGears.com October 14, 2013 Last week, a report came out of Australia that said a refresh of the smallest Lexus, the CT200h could happen as early as 2014. Well new spy shots this week show that a refresh is coming soon. The shots reveal the CT200h will become more integrated into Lexus' current lineup with a spindle grille, new fog and headlights, and bumper. Towards the back is a revised bumper and what looks like a small diffuser. We don't have any pictures of the interior, but we expect some minor changes. Don't expect any changes to the hybrid powertrain. Source: The Motor Report, Autoblog William Maley is a staff writer for Cheers & Gears. 11. William Maley Staff Writer - CheersandGears.com September 5, 2013 If you happen to be that person who likes the BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe, but thinks its a bit too big, then pay close attention to this story. A new set of spy shots have come out showing a BMW 3-Series with a lot of camouflage all over the rear end. This is believed to be the new 4-Series Gran Coupe. The clues that lead to this conclusion is the mule measuring about the same as the 3-Series GT and different rear end styling. Rumors have BMW showing the 4-Series Gran Coupe sometime next year with sales beginning in 2015. Source: Autoblog William Maley is a staff writer for Cheers & Gears. 13. William Maley Staff Writer - CheersandGears.com June 4, 2013 The Cadillac ATS was conceived to beat the Germans at the compact luxury sedan game. Now it appears that Cadillac is upping its game by taking on high performance models with the ATS-V. A spy photographer caught what appears to be an ATS-V mule playing around with the benchmark of the class, the BMW M3. Judging from the shots, we can make out a more aggressive front fascia, flared fenders, quad exhausts, and larger brakes. As for power, that's anyone guess at the moment. It could be the new TwinTurbo 3.6L V6 that will be appearing in the 2014 CTS and XTS, or a V8 engine. Source: Automotbile Magazine William Maley is a staff writer for Cheers & Gears. 15. By William Maley Staff Writer - CheersandGears.com April 23, 2013 At first glance, you might be thinking these spy shots are for a refreshed Chevrolet Sonic sedan because of the distinctive front end. You be incorrect as Automobile Magazine says this is the new 2015 Cruze. The Cruze mule caught in these spy shots clearly show the Sonic influences tapered nose, descending hood, narrow headlights, and dual grille surround. The windshield looks be swept back and the roofline has a coupelike styling. In the back, the trunklid gains an integrated spoiler and a set of new taillights. The new Cruze will utilize an updated version of the Delta platform. Its not quite sure what will happen under the hood, but there is a chance that a new nine-speed automatic transmission could be installed. 17. By William Maley Staff Writer - CheersandGears.com April 24, 2013 It has been speculated and talked about for months on end, and it now seems to be real. New spy photos released yesterday show that there is an ATS coupe in development. The photos reveal a mule looking like the current CTS coupe running around. The indication that has everyone believing that its an ATS coupe; the proportions. The mule appears to be using a short wheelbase, not a long one like you would see on the CTS coupe. We'll be keeping a close eye on this story and report if we have any new updates. Source: Autoweek William Maley is a staff writer for Cheers & Gears. 19. By William Maley Staff Writer - CheersandGears.com February 25, 2013 Remember when Buick and GMC announced they would introducing nine new models over the next twelve months. Two of those have been caught by a spy photographer. First up is the 2014 Buick LaCrosse. The mule caught in the shots has a larger front grille and a set of LED accents around the headlights. Not so obvious in the shots is the amount of camo in the interior of the mule, meaning extensive changes are coming. Then there is the 2014 Buick Regal. Much like the shots of the Opel and Vauxhall Insignia we reported on earlier this year, the Regal will get a revised front end. More extensive changes will take place in the back. 21. William Maley Staff Writer - CheersandGears.com December 5, 2012 Hyundai is working on the next-generation Genesis sedan as evidenced by some new spy photos this week. The next-gen Genesis appears to be getting a much sleeker designer than the current model. Also, the new model appears to get revised LED running lamps and new taillamps. Underneath, the Genesis will use an updated version of the RWD platform it currently uses. The difference will be in the weight; the updated platform is expected to shed as much as a couple hundred pounds. The chassis is expected to get some tuning to make it more sporty. The 3.6L V6 and 5.0L V8 are expected to come over with some slight changes. An eight-speed automatic is also coming with a rumored ten-speed as well.
