PepsiCo has placed a pre-order for 100 of Tesla's recently released Semi-Truck. Wal-Mart, J.B. Hunt, and Sysco have also placed orders. Reuters tallies the total so far at 285 units. Tesla was initially asking for a $5,000 reservation fee, but has since increased that to $20,000. Pepsico plans on using the trucks for lighter snack items and fixed routes between distribution centers. An order of 100 trucks represents about 1% of Pepsi's 10,000 strong fleet. Tesla is known for building quick vehicles, but they're also known for burning through a lot of cash. Bloomberg recently crunched some numbers on how fast Tesla goes through money and the amount is quite shocking. According to their data, Tesla has been burning through $8,000 per minute (about $480,000 in an hour) for the past 12 months. Now comes word via a Tesla S owner Jason Man in China that they have opened up the largest Tesla Supercharger Station in Shanghai with 50 stalls, capability to charge 3 megawatts of power per hour. This is located in the Lilacs International Commercial Centre, Pudong district of Shanghai.

400 fired for Performance at Tesla or so they say. Seems Tesla fired approximately 400 employees from lowly sales associates to upper level executives all for performance. Yet with the bottleneck of production holding back the ability to actually produce and ship Tesla 3, it seems Tesla is more about laying off costs to stem the flow of cash till they can get the Tesla 3 shipping. GM Exec calls Musk full of Crap! Seems Musk stating his auto's are level 5 capable of self driving is now being called full of crap by GM Exec that says without Lidar, there is no way Tesla system can be Level 5 full autonomous driving. It cannot see in the black of Night nor the difference of a snow covered road. Clearly many use cases that show Tesla to not be a Level 5 autonomous driving auto.
