Design Competition #1 - GM Modern Revival

Recommended Posts

Welcome to Design Competition #1!

Modern design has strayed from the lines and ultimate beauty that models of yesterday possessed. In today's world, you see either too many lines that don't flow together or not enough lines to define any character. However, now you're the designer. It's your turn now.

We want you to revive a GM vehicle from before 1990 that needs revival. It doesn't matter if you sketch, Photoshop, or render your entry because however you make it will be perfectly fine by us as long as it meets the guidelines. So show us your skill and creativity and may the best designer win!

You may design any GM model produced before 1990.

Here's a revival on one of my all time favourite GM designs, the Olds Toronado, this time as Olds' version of the Cadillac XLR. In keeping with the original's heritage a showcase for advanced design, it has a hybrid drivetrain. Luxury and performance for the environmentally conscious.

That Toro is quite interesting. Nice nod to heritage w/ the rims. :)

Gnitro: I like it, a lot. I hope you do a side view.

MRDETROITMETAL: Frankly, the envelope could use a little pushing. A neat exercise in imagination, and that rear track would be great in snow. Add a ski option for the front wheels, and you'd have the ultimate Skidoo.

So, the original thread for Sketch comp have died and replaced by this right? No matter, I can re-submit, or submit new ones here. I know it's late since I saw the deadline is March 1st, but I will enter couple anyway, if they will be accepted.

U.S. Designed and Built muscle car, this time NOT a blatent re-badge of the Aussie Holden. The return of the all American Legend. The interior however was originally drawn as the one for my Fiero, which I will post after this. We ARE allowed 2 entries, right?

Here is my second.

Pontiac Fiero GT

Draws_Pontiac_Fiero.jpg

The Return of America's favorite, affordable, 2-Seat Mid-Engined Sports car, now offering severall different muscle engines ranging from the base 4Cyl, to the turbocharged and twin-turboed V6 producing massive powers.

If you also post in GMI, you have probably seen both, but I am enterring them anyway just for the heck of it, since I never get any votes on my crappy drawings anyway, since they are really dirty and have lots of problems.
