Jaguar Land Rover Reports U.S. Sales for April 2016

  • Jaguar sales increase 1 percent on record April F-TYPE sales

  • Land Rover April sales decrease 2 percent  while reaching 2nd highest April sales in U.S. history

  • Jaguar Land Rover U.S. sales year-to-date up 16 percent with increases in both brands

(MAHWAH, NJ) - May 3, 2016 -- Jaguar Land Rover North America today reported April 2016 U.S. sales: Land Rover sales reached 5,188 units, a 2 percent decrease from 5,311 units in April 2015; Jaguar sales were 1,087 units, a 1 percent increase from 1,079 units in April 2015. Jaguar Land Rover North America April U.S. sales for both brands hit 6,275 units, a 2 percent decrease from 6,390 units in April 2015.

 

Year-to-date in 2016, Jaguar Land Rover U.S. sales are 32,077 units sold, up 16 percent from 2015. For the full year 2015, Jaguar Land Rover U.S. sales were up 26 percent with 85,048 units sold compared to 67,238 units sold in 2014.

 

"In April Jaguar Land Rover had its second best Land Rover month ever and maintained our growth with Jaguar as we prepare for the spring launch of the Jaguar XE and F-PACE, which start reaching showrooms later in May," said Joe Eberhardt, President and CEO, Jaguar Land Rover, North America, LLC. 

 

U.S. BRAND HIGHLIGHTS

 

Land Rover

For the month of April, Land Rover sales hit 5,188 units sold in the U.S., the second highest April sales total ever and a slight decrease versus 2015. April of 2015 was the highest April sales in Land Rover's history in the United States.

 

Year-to-date 2016, Land Rover brand in the U.S. is up 17 percent compared to the record-setting 2015 pace.

 

Jaguar

For the month of April, Jaguar sales were 1,087 units, a 1 percent increase versus April 2015. The F-TYPE had its best ever April sales month with 295 units sold, an 8 percent increase vs. 274 units in April 2015. The all new Jaguar XF increased 5 percent to 506 units vs. 484 in April, 2015.

 

Year-to-date, Jaguar brand in the U.S. is up 12 percent in 2016 compared to 2015, with increases in the XF, XJ and F-TYPE models.
