<p>
	Ralph Nader pretty much made the Chevy Corvair the Devil as a terrible, dangerous auto that eventually led to it being killed off.
</p>

<p>
	Now in the 21st century, a group of French men have found total desire in the Chevy Corvair that originally was their focus for customization of existing Corvairs.

</p>

<p>
	In 2020 during the global Pandemic, NewRide out of France, started their desire to build new Chevy Corvairs (<a href="https://www.newride.fr/" ipsnoembed="true" rel="external nofollow">NewRide - Covering - Body protection - Design</a>)
</p>

<p>
	This custom Corvair is based on a Camaro SS 6th generation, and they are finally showing it off at SEMA in Las Vegas 2022 and then at the European Tuning Showdown competition in Bodensee, Germany.
</p>

<p>
	Video is all in French, but you can see what all they did.

<p>
	Check out their website for the pictures of the original Corvair they found and customized to only then use it to build a mold for an updated Modern 21st Century Corvair. The build pictures are amazing as to all the work that went into building this ride. End result is a modern looking car based on an old model that I think looks great.

<p>
	If you thought that the 840 horsepower HEMI found under the Dodge Challenger Demon wasn't enough, then Mopar would like to introduce you to a new crate motor that made its debut yesterday at the SEMA Show.
</p>
<p>
	This is the "Hellephant", a 426 cubic inch HEMI V8 with a 3.0L twin-screw supercharger producing 1,000 horsepower and 950 pound-feet of torque on 93 octane pump gas. Muscle car fans will know 426 is an iconic number for Chrysler as the automaker offered this engine in 1964 for a number of models including the Dodge Dart and Plymouth Fury. It earned the nickname of "Elephant" due to its enormous size. About 11,000 of these engines would find a home a Chrysler product due to it costing a fair amount of money to build.
</p>
<p>
	Beginning with an aluminum block from the Challenger Drag Pack, Mopar fitted a set custom-forged pistons, a special high-lift cam, valvetrain and valves from the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon; and other parts. Buying the crate engine will get you a kit that includes powertrain control module, power distribution center, engine wiring harness, chassis harness, and other key components. Mopar will also offer a front end accessory kit that includes alternator, power-steering pump, belts, pulleys, and more.
</p>
<p>
	No word on pricing, but we're expecting to be over $20,000 considering the 6.2L Supercharged HEMI V8 will set you back $19,995. The engine will become available in the first quarter of 2019.
</p>
<p>
	Of course, Mopar decided to build a special vehicle to help with the introduction of the "Hellephant". Their vehicle of choice was a 1968 Dodge Charger. Dubbed Super Charger (I see what you did there), the vehicle has been lowered and the front wheels have been push forward to make room for the wider fenders. A number of parts come from Challenger SRT Hellcat including the six-speed manual transmission. There are a number of unique design traits such as shaved door handles, removal of the vent windows, and dual-walled exhaust tips from the Alfa Romeo Stelvio placed where the taillights would have resided.

<p><strong>October 30, 2018 , Las Vegas - </strong>The Mopar brand is stampeding into the 2018 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show with a brand-new HEMI®-engine-powered beast: the “Hellephant” 426 Supercharged Mopar Crate HEMI engine, which turns the crank at a mammoth 1,000 horsepower and 950 lb.-ft. of torque.<br>
	 <br>
	The “Hellephant” 426 Supercharged Mopar Crate HEMI engine is a Mopar-first for a 1,000-horsepower crate engine kit offered by an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).<br>
	 <br>
	The press briefing today in the Mopar exhibit at SEMA also included the unveiling of the 1968 Dodge “Super Charger” Concept, the perfect package for highlighting the “Hellephant” 426 Supercharged Crate HEMI engine assembly and kit.<br>
	 <br>
	“Our enthusiasts crave power and performance and our new ‘Hellephant’ Mopar Crate HEMI engine and kit deliver huge horsepower and torque in a plug-and-play package that is unique in the industry,” said Steve Beahm, Head of Parts &amp; Service (Mopar) and Passenger Car Brands, FCA - North America. “The 1968 Dodge Charger is one of the hottest classic cars, which is why we decided to use it as a starting point for the ‘Super Charger’ Concept. It’s an amazing vehicle and a great showcase for our ‘Hellephant’ engine.”<br>
	 <br>
	The “Hellephant” engine hits the magical 1,000 horsepower mark via bulked-up displacement, with 4.0 inches of stroke and bore specs at 4.125 inches. An improved supercharger with a high-efficiency rotor is mounted on the all-aluminum block, which provides huge weight savings to keep the “Hellephant” light. The all-aluminum block, used in Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak race vehicles that dominated the 2018 NHRA Factory Stock Showdown class, was configured for the street in close collaboration with Mopar and engineers from the motorsports world.
</p>
<p>
	The engine and kit’s distinctive “Hellephant” logo provides a nod to the Mopar brand’s past and present. The logo and name call out the legendary 426 HEMI engine, first introduced in 1964 and nicknamed the “elephant” engine for its power and size, as well as the 707-horsepower Mopar “Hellcrate” Engine Kit, revealed last year at the 2017 SEMA Show.<br>
	 <br>
	The complete engine assembly includes a water pump, flywheel, front sump oil pan, supercharger with throttle body, fuel injectors and coil packs. The first-ever 1,000 horsepower crate engine assembly offered by an OEM can be paired with the Mopar “Hellephant” 426 Supercharged Mopar Crate HEMI Engine Kit for relatively simple plug-and-play by experienced installers. The engine assembly and kit are designed for installation on pre-1976 street and off-road vehicles.
</p>
<p>
	Additional features of the “Hellephant” 426 Supercharged Mopar Crate HEMI engine include valve covers imported from the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye and valve train, valves, locks and retainers pulled from the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. The engine build includes a special high-lift cam, as well as custom-forged pistons.
</p>
<p>
	Dropping in the “Hellephant” is almost turnkey with the “Hellephant” 426 Supercharged Mopar Crate HEMI Engine Kit. The kit includes a powertrain control module (PCM), power distribution center, engine wiring harness, chassis harness, accelerator pedal, ground jumper, oxygen sensors, charge air temperature sensors, fuel pump control module and cam bus interface device. The PCM is unlocked and tuned to pump out 1,000 horsepower and 950 lb.-ft. torque.
</p>
<p>
	As with the “Hellcrate” engine, Mopar will also offer an essential Front End Accessory Drive (FEAD) Kit, which includes an alternator, power-steering pump, belts, pulleys and more, and is among additional engine accessory hardware components available to assist in installing the “Hellephant.”<br>
	 <br>
	The kit ships in unique packaging, featuring the “Hellephant” logo and includes in-depth information sheets with helpful installation tips and requirements.
</p>
<p>
	The “Hellephant” 426 Supercharged Mopar Crate HEMI engine assembly and kit will be available in the first quarter of 2019. For more information, visit www.cratehemi.com, and follow Mopar on Twitter (@OfficialMopar) using the new #Hellephant hashtag.
</p>
<p><strong>1968 Dodge “Super Charger” Concept</strong><br>
	The 1968 Dodge Charger, one of the most iconic vehicles ever built by FCA US, is reimagined with modern elements from the current Dodge Charger SRT and the Dodge Challenger SRT lineup to create a unique package for showcasing the Mopar brand’s new “Hellephant” 426 Supercharged Mopar Crate HEMI engine and kit.
</p>
<p>
	The 1968 Dodge “Super Charger” Concept is adapted to accommodate the “Hellephant” engine, enabling the classic ride to slam 1,000 horsepower to the pavement through a stock T-6060 manual six-speed Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat transmission.<br>
	 <br>
	The custom “De Grigio” Grey Metallic classic 1968 Dodge Charger, which is marking its 50th anniversary in 2018, feeds the “Hellephant” fresh air through a supersized hood scoop modeled on that of the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. The hood features fiberglass construction on the outside with inner-steel construction inside carried over from the original vehicle. The 1968 Charger’s pop-up headlamp design is tweaked to plant Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat headlamps permanently behind the grille. The original’s door handles and drip rails are shaved away, creating a clean, streamlined appearance. Front door vent windows are removed and replaced with a one-piece side glass. The 1971 Duster mirrors add a more modern appearance.<br>
	 <br>
	The 1968 Dodge “Super Charger” Concept assumes a “wide body” stance thanks to front and rear fiberglass wheel flares painted “De Grigio” Grey Metallic body color. The front wheels push forward two inches to accommodate the flares and shorten the Charger’s overhang, extending the classic’s wheelbase from 117 inches to 119 inches. Front wheels are stock 20 x 11-inch Devil’s rims pulled from the Challenger SRT Hellcat, while the rears are upsized 21 x 12-inch custom-milled aluminum Devil’s wheels. The body drops 2.5 inches in the rear and 3.5 inches in the front to aggressively hug the pavement. Six-piston Brembos deliver a decisive stopping-power advantage over the 1968 brakes.<br>
	 <br>
	Custom fiberglass front and rear bumpers are flushed up and shortened cross-car to provide an integrated design. The custom fiberglass front chin splitter takes influence from the Demon, while the custom rear spoiler is inspired by the modern Charger R/T. The trunk key cylinder lock is shaved and the Satin Black fuel door embellished with a custom-milled aluminum “Hellephant” medallion, one of many unique design touches incorporated throughout the “Super Charger” Concept. Vehicle graphics and badging are Satin Black vinyl decals, including the “Hellephant” logo on the front fenders, “Super Charger” badging above the doors and classic tail stripes at the rear.<br>
	 <br>
	The Product Design Office (PDO) team let their imaginations run wild at the tail of the ’68 Charger. The lower exhaust tips are eliminated and replaced with Alfa Romeo Stelvio 5-inch dual-walled exhaust tips re-engineered to run through the taillamp housing. The brake lights have been uniquely reconfigured with LED lights that glow around the exhaust tips.<br>
	 <br>
	Inside, door panels and interior trim are Satin Black with the unique “Hellephant” milled medallion applied on the upper door panels. The Dodge Viper steering wheel also carries the “Hellephant” medallion at its center. The instrument panel insert is “De Grigio” Grey Metallic body color and the dash is customized with a full array of Mopar gauges.<br>
	 <br>
	The body-color center console holds a manual shifter from the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, as well as the ignition button and toggle switches for the headlamps, wipers, fog lights and hazard lights. The stock front seats have been replaced with Dodge Viper seats re-wrapped in Alcantara leather accented with red stitching and are fitted with four-point Sabelt black racing harnesses. The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon seat delete option opens up the rear and also sheds weight while making space for a custom 2-inch roll cage designed to follow the profile and harmonize with the shape of the day light opening (DLO). A Challenger SRT Demon net allows for storage of racing equipment such as helmets and gloves. A black Challenger SRT Hellcat carpet covers the rear of the interior, while the front features custom floor mats modified from the current Charger SRT and Mopar pedal kits for the Challenger.

	If we were to award the most outrageous concept from an OEM at SEMA 2018, then Honda would be walking away with it thanks to the Rugged Open Air Vehicle concept. You might be thinking this just a large side-by-side utility vehicle. Well, yes and no. While a number of parts are borrowed from Honda Powersports' Pioneer 1000 like the doors and steering wheel, the mechanicals are provided from the Ridgeline. This is evident when you look inside as the shape of the dash and instrument are the same.
</p>
<p>
	No word on what powers the Rugged Open Air Vehicle concept, but we would guess it is the 3.5L V6 from the Ridgeline with 280 horsepower.

	The interior boasts a set of seats from the Civic Type R that are upholstered in waterproof material. A set of RAM smartphone holders are placed throughout to keep your phone in the vehicle.
</p>
<p>
	Don't expect this concept to hit the showroom floor anytime soon, but we do have to give Honda's R&amp;D office in Ohio a round of applause for coming up with something very ridiculous.

		Rugged Open Air Vehicle Concept merges light-truck and side-by-side vehicles into ultimate open-air off-road Honda
	</li></ul>
<p><strong>Oct 30, 2018 - TORRANCE, Calif.</strong> Headlining a star-studded lineup of vehicles, the Honda Rugged Open Air Vehicle concept took its bow today in the glittering environs of Las Vegas at the 2018 SEMA show. Combining elements of two production Honda vehicles from different genres, the Rugged Open Air Vehicle concept is based on Honda's Ridgeline pickup and its Pioneer 1000 side-by-side to create the ultimate open-air off-road Honda adventure vehicle.
</p>
<p>
	Designed and developed by Honda R&amp;D Americas, the Rugged Open Air Vehicle concept is a physical thought exercise of what the ultimate off-road Honda four-wheeled vehicle could look like. The vehicle combines the utility of the Honda Ridgeline with the off-road ruggedness and extreme styling of the Honda Pioneer 1000 side-by-side. While the Rugged Open Air Vehicle is a concept, it nonetheless uses existing Honda components, such as modified Ridgeline body and suspension, along with production Pioneer doors and custom designed bed and tailgate panels modeled after the Pioneer. The Ridgeline-based interior has been modified for a life exposed to the outdoors and features a Pioneer 1000 steering wheel adapted to the Ridgeline steering column, along with Civic Type R seats reskinned in waterproof Pioneer 1000 material, smartphone holders from RAM Mounts, and durable paint-on surfaces to protect the exposed instrument panel from the elements.

	Kia has never offered a performance variant of the Forte sedan, tending to reserve that for the coupe and Forte5 hatchback. But that is changing as Kia has introduced the Forte GT sedan at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
</p>
<p>
	The transformation from a stock compact sedan to a sport compact begins under the hood. The 2.0L four-cylinder with 147 horsepower has been swapped for the turbocharged 1.6L four producing 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. This is the same engine found in the Kia Soul ! and Hyundai Elantra Sport. Transmissions include a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch. Kia has also made some handling improvements with the GT trading the standard torsion beam rear suspension for an independent setup. A set of Michelin Sport summer tires with 18-inch alloy wheels are available as an option.
</p>
<p>
	Outside, the Forte GT comes with a number of sporty enhancements such as a black grille with red accents, gloss-black mirrors, new side skirts, and a trunk-lid spoiler. The interior features a flat-bottom steering, alloy pedal covers, and optional sport seats.
</p>
<p>
	No word on pricing, but the 2020 Forte GT arrives at Kia dealers next summer.

		Forte GT is just one of two new sport trims available for the 2020 model year
	</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>LAS VEGAS, October 30, 2018 –</strong> At the show that brings together an eclectic mix of wild concepts, high-horsepower muscle cars, and uber lifted trucks, Kia Motors America (KMA) is excited to unveil the 2020 Forte GT, marking the introduction of two exhilarating GT sport trims new to the Forte family of compact sedans. Race-inspired visual upgrades and added premium amenities are just some of the elements that come as part of the GT sport trims, though an available turbocharged engine and sportier suspension setup take the Forte’s performance and fun-to-drive athleticism to the next level.
</p>
<p>
	“The fantastic capabilities of our team of engineers really shined in the development of the Stinger and we’re thrilled to continue injecting a bit more sport into some of the other models in the lineup” said Orth Hedrick, executive director, Car Planning and Telematics, KMA. “Whether you want a practical commuter or performance compact sedan, there’s now a Forte that appeals to several types of car shoppers. The Forte is already one of our top sellers, and we believe adding more diversity to the model line will appeal to a broader range of consumers.”
</p>
<p>
	With the new sport additions, the 2020 Forte will be available in FE, LXS, EX, GT Line, and GT trim levels. For those who want the most out of the Forte GT, the trim can be elevated with available GT1 and GT2 packages. Pricing will be announced closer to the 2020 Forte’s on-sale date.
</p>
<p><u><strong>Amped Up, In and Out</strong></u></p>
<p>
	The amount of sport injected into the Forte varies on the GT designation. Characterized by cosmetic upgrades only, the “GT Line” trim spices up the Forte’s presentation with a racier looking gloss black grille offset by red accents. The gloss black treatment is also applied to heated outside mirrors with LED turn signals, sport side sills, and on the rear spoiler perched atop the decklid.
</p>
<p>
	To match the exterior, the interior of the Forte “GT Line” is upgraded with alloy sport pedals and a flat bottom steering wheel with white contrast stitching. Exclusive black sport cloth seats continue the theme with the same color stitching, while front seats gain performance side bolsters to keep occupants firmly ensconced through the corners.
</p>
<p>
	Moving up the ladder, the GT trim is outfitted more aggressively with sport tuned dual exhaust and 18-inch alloy wheels that pop thanks to a GT-exclusive two-tone finish. Standard LED headlights, racier red contrast stitching and Smart Key w/ Push Button Start are also part of the GT treatment, as well as LED ambient interior lighting with an illuminated GT dash inlay.
</p>
<p><u><strong>Lively Performance and Favorable Convenience</strong></u></p>
<p>
	While models wearing the “GT Line” badge keep the naturally aspirated 147-HP 2.0-liter MPI four-cylinder engine and Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), the higher GT trim takes the Forte’s performance and athleticism to the next level with a DOHC turbocharged 1.6-liter I-4 GDI engine. Output is an estimated 201 HP and 195 lb-ft. of torque which is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission or 7-speed dual clutch transmission (models with the latter transmission receive steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters). A fully independent front and rear suspension, paired with larger front disc brakes and sway bars, deliver better handling and cornering, improved ride quality, and enhanced stability and steering. Befitting a true compact sport sedan, the Forte GT is available with sticky 225/40R-18 Michelin Pilot Sport Summer tires.
</p>
<p>
	A suite of Kia Drive Wise technologies continues to be standard, meaning both GT sport trims are equipped with Forward Collision Warning (FCW)1, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA)1, Lane Departure Warning (LDW)1, Lane Keeping Assist-Line (LKA-Line)1, and Driver Attention Warning (DAW)2.  Opting for the GT1 package adds Blind Spot Collision Warning (BCW)1 with Lane Change Assist (LCA)1 and Rear-Cross Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW)1 to the roster of technologies, while the GT2 package tops it off with the addition of Smart Cruise Control (SCC)1.
</p>
<p>
	Both GT1 and GT2 packages improve the Forte’s interior environment with LED overhead lighting and power sunroof, a 320-watt Harman Kardon ® 3 premium eight-speaker audio system complete with Clari-Fi TM 4 technology, wireless charging5, 4.2-inch center LCD screen and dual-zone full automatic air conditioning. Forte GTs with the GT2 package are further differentiated with heated and ventilated SOFINO GT sport seating and a 10-way power driver’s seat.

			How do you celebrate 50 years since the introduction of the original COPO Chevrolet Camaro drag car? If you're Chevrolet, you unveil a concept COPO Camaro with an electric powertrain.
		</p>

		<p>
			Today at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, Chevrolet introduced the eCOPO Camaro Concept. Developed with pioneering electric drag racing team Hancock and Lane Racing, the eCOPO uses an electric motor providing 700 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. Chevrolet estimates that the eCOPO can do the quarter-mile in nine seconds.
		</p>

		<p>
			Beginning with a standard COPO Camaro, the V8 engine is swapped for an electric motor assembly comprised of two BorgWarner HVH 250-150 motors. This teamed with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. In the trunk resides an all-new 800-volt battery pack that allows for "a more efficient power transfer to the electric motor and supports faster recharging." The battery pack is arranged in such a way to allow for a 44/56 front-to-rear weight ratio.
		</p>

		<p>
			What makes the eCOPO concept unique is the electric motor "has the same bell house mounting pattern and crankshaft flange" as Chevrolet's LS family of engines. This means you could swap the standard V8 engine for an electric powertrain without having to change other driveshaft components.
		</p>

		<p>
			“The possibilities are intriguing and suggest a whole new world for racers. Chevrolet pioneered the concept of the high-performance crate engine right around the time the original COPO Camaro models were created, and the eCOPO project points to a future that could include electric crate motors for racing, or even your street rod. We’re not there yet, but it’s something we’re exploring,” said Russ O’Blenes, director, Performance Variants, Parts and Motorsports at General Motors.

			<span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>eCOPO Camaro Race Car Concept Electrifies Drag Racing</strong></span>
		</p>

		<p>
			<strong>LAS VEGAS — </strong>Fifty years after the original COPO Camaro special order performance models were introduced, Chevrolet’s eCOPO Camaro Concept demonstrates an electrified vision for drag racing.
		</p>

		<p>
			Developed by General Motors and built in partnership with the pioneering electric drag racing team Hancock and Lane Racing, the concept race car — based on the 2019 COPO Camaro — is entirely electric powered, driven by an electric motor providing the equivalent of more than 700 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque.
		</p>

		<p>
			Chevrolet estimates quarter-mile times in the 9-second range. Testing is ongoing.
		</p>

		<p>
			“The eCOPO Concept is all about where we go in the future with electrification in the high performance space,” said Russ O’Blenes, director, Performance Variants, Parts and Motorsports at General Motors. “The original COPO Camaro program was all about pushing the envelope, and this concept is an exploration with the very same spirit.”
		</p>

		<p>
			Chevrolet partnered with Hancock and Lane Racing not only because of the team’s success in NHRA drag racing, but also its involvement with Patrick McCue, the driving force behind the record-holding “Shock and Awe” electric drag racing car, and his Seattle-area Bothell High School automotive technology program. With the racing team’s assistance, more than a dozen students participated in the development and assembly of the electrified drag car.
		</p>

		<p>
			“This project exemplifies Chevrolet and General Motors’ commitment to engaging young minds in STEM education,” said O’Blenes. “It also represents our goal of a world with zero emissions, with the next generation of engineers and scientists who will help us get there.”
		</p>

		<p>
			800 volts
		</p>

		<p>
			Just as the original 1969 COPO Camaro models relied on creative engineering to make them successful in Stock Eliminator drag racing, the eCOPO breaks new ground with its unique motor and GM’s first 800-volt battery back.
		</p>

		<p>
			The electric motor is based on a pair of BorgWarner HVH 250-150 motor assemblies, each generating 300 lb-ft of torque, and replaces the gas engine. It is connected to a conventional  racing-prepared “Turbo 400” automatic transmission that channels the motor’s torque to the same solid rear axle used in the production COPO Camaro race cars.
		</p>

		<p>
			The all-new 800-volt battery pack enables a more efficient power transfer to the electric motor and supports faster recharging, which is important for the limited time between elimination rounds in drag racing.
		</p>

		<p>
			“Eight hundred volts is more than twice the voltage of the battery packs in the production Chevrolet Volt and Bolt EV, so the eCOPO pushes into new technological territory,” says O’Blenes. “As GM advances its electrification leadership, a big step might just come from the drag strip.”
		</p>

		<p>
			The battery pack is composed of four 200-volt modules, each weighing approximately 175 pounds, mounted strategically in the car for optimal weight distribution. Two are located in the rear seat area and the other two are in the trunk: one in the spare tire well and the other in the area over the rear axle.
		</p>

		<p>
			A full Battery Management System monitors all critical voltages and temperatures within the pack. It ties into a comprehensive safety system that continuously evaluates all vehicle electrical components for proper function and safe operation. The batteries in the rear compartment are sealed off from the interior and an integrated driveshaft tunnel has been added between the modules for increased protection. Additionally, the roll cage in the trunk area has been expanded to provide additional protection for the rear-mounted modules.
		</p>

		<p>
			With the modules’ strategic positions, the eCOPO Camaro has greater than a 56 percent rear-weight bias, which helps launch the car more efficiently.
		</p>

		<p>
			<strong>Electric crate motors</strong>
		</p>

		<p>
			The eCOPO Camaro Concept expands Chevrolet and General Motors’ electrification development and supports future product development. It also suggests a potential new avenue for Chevrolet’s crate engine and performance parts portfolio.
		</p>

		<p>
			The eCOPO Camaro’s electric motor has the same bell house mounting pattern and crankshaft flange as the popular LS-family engines in Chevrolet’s crate engine portfolio. That allows it to bolt up to just about any General Motors transmission. In fact, the transmission, driveshaft and other drivetrain components remain in the same locations as in a gasoline-powered COPO Camaro race car, meaning the electric motor simply bolts into the engine compartment in place of the gas engine.
		</p>

		<p>
			“The possibilities are intriguing and suggest a whole new world for racers,” said O’Blenes. “Chevrolet pioneered the concept of the high-performance crate engine right around the time the original COPO Camaro models were created, and the eCOPO project points to a future that could include electric crate motors for racing, or even your street rod. We’re not there yet, but it’s something we’re exploring.”
		</p>

		<p>
			In the meantime, Chevrolet and Hancock and Lane Racing will continue to develop the eCOPO Camaro and test it on the drag strip, seeking quicker elapsed times with all-new technology.
		</p>

		<p>
			The eCOPO Concept, shown in Electric Blue, joins the 50th anniversary 2019 COPO Camaro production race car and approximately two dozen additional Chevrolet concepts and show vehicles at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas through Nov. 2.

	Street-oriented performance trucks like the Ford Lightning, Dodge Ram SRT-10, and Toyota X-Runner don't exist. Instead, we have off-road performance models like the Ford F-150 Raptor and Chevrolet Colorado ZR2. But Chevrolet has imagined what a modern performance truck could look like at the SEMA Show.
</p>
<p>
	The Chevrolet Silverado Performance Concept certainly looks the part with a lowered suspension, Satin Steel Gray paint, a new hood, air ducts, and a set of 22-inch wheels. Under the hood is a 5.3L V8 that uses the intercooled supercharger from the Camaro ZL1 and Corvette Z06. The supercharger is said to add 100+ horsepower which means the 5.3 is producing at least 455 horsepower. We do find ourselves wondering why Chevrolet didn't do this with the 6.2L V8. Other mechanical changes include a cold-air induction system, cat-back exhaust, and Brembo front brakes.
</p>
<p>
	Chevrolet officials at a press conference revealing their SEMA showings hinted that if this concept gets a positive reaction, they could put this into production.

			If you wanted to drop FCA's monstrous Hellcat supercharged V8 into a project vehicle of yours, you needed to go down to your local salvage yard to rip one out of a Charger or Challenger Hellcat that met a premature end. But that will be changing this week at the SEMA Show.
		</p>

		<p>
			Mopar has announced that it will be seeling a crate version of the Hellcat engine. There will also be a Mopar “Hellcrate” HEMI Engine Kit that includes the necessary items to make for an easier swap such as a wiring harness, powertrain control module. oxygen sensors, fuel pump control module, and other bits. An optional Front End Accessory Drive kit brings an alternator, power steering pump, belts, pulleys, and other key parts.
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			Before you start planning a Hellcat transplant into a Fiat 500L, Mopar says the kit is "intended for pre-1976 street and off-road vehicles." That doesn't mean you can't do this with a modern vehicle, it will only mean a bit more work to pull it off.
		</p>

		<p>
			“Never before has a supercharged, factory-direct 707-horsepower crate engine kit been offered, and we are proud to be the first to deliver a solution enthusiasts have demanded. This ultimate powertrain option fits the needs of owners and fans who demand iconic performance,” said Pietro Gorlier, Head of Parts and Service (Mopar), FCA.
		</p>

		<p>
			The Hellcrate will set you back $19,530, while the engine kit will cost $2,195.

			Once again, Chevrolet is heading off to SEMA to show off the latest COPO Camaro. But the COPO won't be the only Camaro dragster on display as Chevrolet will have a test vehicle showing off the Camaro SS Drag Race Development Program.
		</p>

		<p>
			<strong>COPO Camaro</strong><br>
			We'll begin with the COPO Camaro. This model is designed for NHRA’s Stock Eliminator classes and features a racing chassis and suspension bits to handle drag racing duties. COPO models feature a unique solid rear axle system, a lightweight, adjustable coil-over strut front suspension, manual four-wheel disc brakes, a custom manual steering rack, and a fuel cell system. There will be a range of naturally aspirated and supercharged V8 engines that will come paired with a three-speed automatic transmission.
		</p>

		<p>
			If you're interested in buying a COPO Camaro, you'll need to register at Chevrolet.com/COPO by December 15th to get the chance to be picked to purchase it.
		</p>

		<p>
			The COPO Camaro on display at SEMA is serial number 01 of 69. It features a supercharged 350 V8, custom racing wheels, and a unique version of Hyper Blue Metallic exterior color. Chevrolet will put this model up for auction at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale in January with proceeds going to United Way.
		</p>

		<p>
			<strong>Camaro SS Drag Race Development test vehicle</strong><br>
			Chevrolet describes the SS Drag Race Development test vehicles as a way "to mimic the typical stair-step enhancements many amateur racers make with their production Camaro SS models". Enginners started with a standard Camaro SS with an eight-speed automatic and began swapping parts. The test vehicle boasts cam-and-heads package to help boost power of the LT1 V8 to 530 (can be increased 600 with a power adder), higher-stall torque converter, and a set of drag slicks.
		</p>

		<p>
			“The Camaro SS Drag Race Development concept is a work in progress, but Chevrolet is serious about developing parts and packages tailored for drag racers. As we continue to develop the car, we’ll be listening intently to customers’ reactions to it and what they believe would help them the most on the drag strip. This is only the beginning,”
		</p>

		<p>
			The results of this work in progress are impressive with the test car posting best numbers of,
		</p>

		<ul>
<li>
				1.425 seconds for the 60-feet time
			</li>
			<li>
				6.764 seconds at 100.85 mph for the eighth-mile
			</li>
			<li>
				10.685 seconds at 125.73 mph for the quarter-mile
			</li>
		</ul>
<p>
			Expect to see various parts coming from the Camaro SS Drag Race Development test vehicle in the near future.

			<span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Camaro Conquers the Quarter-Mile</strong></span>
		</p>

		<ul>
<li>
				Drag Race Development Program, new COPO Camaro advance drag-racing legacy
			</li>
		</ul>
<p>
			<strong>PAHRUMP, Nev. –</strong> For 50 years, the Camaro and the quarter-mile have stuck together like a drag slick on a well-prepped starting line, and Chevrolet is pushing that winning legacy forward with the new Camaro SS Drag Race Development Program and the 2017 COPO Camaro.
		</p>

		<p>
			The Camaro SS Drag Race Development Program explores the quarter-mile capability of the Gen Six Camaro with concept parts designed to support 10-second elapsed times in a production-based model. The COPO Camaro offers the first look at the factory-built race car program for 2017.
		</p>

		<p>
			“From sportsman classes to the pro ranks, Camaro has been one of the most popular cars ever to launch down the drag strip,” said Jim Campbell, GM U.S. vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. “For 50 years Chevrolet has supported Camaro drag racers and these new SEMA vehicles demonstrate our commitment to the sport, with parts development and the advancement of the historic COPO Camaro program.”
		</p>

		<p>
			That commitment has helped put Camaro drivers in the winner’s circle, including seven class wins out of eight NHRA Stock classes and a Super Stock class win at the 2016 Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis. COPO Camaro racer Jeff Lopez was the Stock Eliminator champion.
		</p>

		<p>
			<strong>Drag Race Development</strong><br>
			The Camaro SS Drag Race Development Program was created to develop performance parts for 2016+ Camaro models. A test vehicle was built to mimic the typical stair-step enhancements many amateur racers make with their production Camaro SS models, including swapping the differential for a numerically higher ratio and adding horsepower-building components such as a cam-and-heads package to push the SS’s LT1 engine to more than 530 horsepower — and about 600 horsepower with a power adder.
		</p>

		<p>
			“More than simply achieving quick ETs in the Camaro, we are exploring the supporting components that help the car to go quicker with great durability,” said Mark Dickens, director, Performance Variants, Parts and Motorsports Engineering. “We’ve tested stronger axles and chassis components aimed at improving launch and traction attributes.”
		</p>

		<p>
			Engineers have made more than 100 passes down the quarter-mile with the development car, including the evaluation of DOT-approved racing and slick tires and a variety of drivetrain combinations.
		</p>

		<p>
			The engineering team also tested a higher-stall torque converter for greater launch capability, increasing the stall speed to 4,200 rpm with the LT1 engine. That’s approximately 30 percent higher than the stock converter. Along with a custom transmission calibration, the prototype converter allowed the car to launch harder, which improved the 60-foot time significantly and thereby improved the quarter-mile elapsed time.
		</p>

		<p>
			The best performance to date includes:
		</p>

		<ul>
<li>
				60-foot time of 1.425 seconds
			</li>
			<li>
				Eighth-mile time of 6.764 seconds at 100.85 mph
			</li>
			<li>
				Quarter-mile time of 10.685 seconds at 125.73 mph
			</li>
		</ul>
<p>
			Consistency in the performance tests came in large part from the Camaro SS’ production eight-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission, which fired off quick, immediate upshifts.
		</p>

		<p>
			“We worked this car just as hard as any serious racer would,” said Dickens. “We made pass after pass, pushing it harder, and were amazed at the capability and durability that came straight off the assembly line.”
		</p>

		<p>
			To support the greater horsepower and channel it to the ground durably, the engineers borrowed some heavy-duty, proven parts from the Gen 6 Camaro ZL1 including the half-shafts and prop shaft and the beefier Gen 5 ZL1 and Chevrolet Performance driveline upgrade with a 250mm, 3.73-geared rear-axle center section. They nicknamed it “Gravedigger,” because they haven’t been able to break it. The parts might be included in a range of Gen Six Camaro drag-racing parts Chevrolet is evaluating.
		</p>

		<p>
			Additionally, the test car was fitted with Chevrolet Performance air induction and exhaust systems, as well as a “small” brake system that features small-diameter brake rotors that fit inside the test car’s 16-inch rear racing wheels and slicks.
		</p>

		<p>
			While the production Camaro SS features 20-inch wheels, optimal traction on the drag strip is achieved with racing slicks that feature taller sidewalls. They wrinkle slightly at launch as the slicks bite the starting line, reducing the chance for traction-killing tire spin. Smaller-diameter racing wheels typically don’t fit over large-diameter production brake rotors.
		</p>

		<p>
			“The Camaro SS Drag Race Development concept is a work in progress, but Chevrolet is serious about developing parts and packages tailored for drag racers,” said Dickens. “As we continue to develop the car, we’ll be listening intently to customers’ reactions to it and what they believe would help them the most on the drag strip. This is only the beginning.”
		</p>

		<p>
			Like other Chevrolet development vehicles, the Drag Race Development concept wears a camouflaged exterior. There is, however, no disguising its performance capability when it’s lined up at the Christmas tree.
		</p>

		<p>
			<strong>2017 COPO Camaro show car</strong><br>
			The 2017 COPO Camaro program extends the production legacy that was re-started in 2012 and based on the special-order high-performance Camaro models created in 1969 to win on the drag strip.
		</p>

		<p>
			Chevrolet’s 2017 COPO Camaro show car — serial number 01 of 69 — was introduced today and features a supercharged 350 engine, custom Weld racing wheels and a unique “anodized” concept version of the production Hyper Blue Metallic exterior color. It will be sold at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction in January 2017, with proceeds to benefit United Way.
		</p>

		<p>
			Like the previous editions, the 2017 COPO Camaro is designed for NHRA’s Stock Eliminator classes. The production race cars are fitted with racing chassis and suspension components, including a unique solid rear axle system in place of a regular-production Camaro’s independent rear axle.
		</p>

		<p>
			Additional details include:
		</p>

		<ul>
<li>
				Lightweight, adjustable coil-over strut front suspension
			</li>
			<li>
				Four-link rear suspension with double-adjustable coil-over shocks, Panhard bar and stabilizer bar
			</li>
			<li>
				Rear axle with an aluminum center section featuring a lightweight steel spool and 40-spline gun-drilled axle shafts
			</li>
			<li>
				Lightweight, drag-race manual four-wheel disc brakes (unassisted)
			</li>
			<li>
				Custom manual steering rack
			</li>
			<li>
				Fuel cell with built-in high-pressure fuel pump
			</li>
			<li>
				Unique racing wire harness
			</li>
		</ul>
<p>
			When it comes to horsepower, racers can select from a variety of supercharged and naturally aspirated LS- and LT-family engines, including a supercharged 350 (5.7L), a naturally aspirated 427 (7.0L) engine and an LT-based, direct-injected 376 (6.2L) engine. The engines are backed by an SFI-approved ATI TH400 three-speed automatic transmission.
		</p>

		<p>
			Each COPO Camaro race car is built by hand starting with production hardware, including the same body-in-white used for production models.
		</p>

		<p>
			Racers interested in purchasing one of the 2017 COPO Camaro race cars must register at Chevrolet.com/COPO by Dec. 15, 2016. An independent third party will randomly select from the pool of interested customers. Those selected will be contacted in the first quarter of 2017.
		</p>

		<p>
			Enthusiasts can also follow updates on the 2017 COPO Camaro program at theBlock.com.

<p>Dodge and Mopar brands are "shaking" it up at the 2013 Specialty Equipment Market Association‘s (SEMA) annual show in Las Vegas. The two Detroit-born brands are teaming up to reveal the new 2014 Challenger R/T Shaker and Mopar ‘14 Challenger models, all engineered for hard-core enthusiasts who demand more throwback style with easily upgradable performance.</p>
<p>"The legendary Shaker performance hood is back, with its engine-mounted, fully floating scoop and exposed high-flow element that produces cold-air induction – making the new 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker the real deal," said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO of Dodge Brand. "With Challenger having its best sales-year ever, the time is right to provide our most loyal fans with the return of the Shaker, and even more power with new 'Scat Package,' performance stage kits."</p>
<p>"With Mopar engineers working alongside Dodge designers and engineers, we created these factory- proven products to amplify performance and style in a way that no one else can," said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group LLC‘s service, parts and customer-care brand. "The 'Shaker', 'Scat Packages' and our new Mopar ‘14 celebrate customized performance."</p>
<p><strong>2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker</strong></p>
<p>Injecting a fresh shot of heritage into the Challenger lineup, the new 2014 R/T Shaker model features unique throwback muscle-car cues that link directly to Dodge brand‘s performance legacy.</p>
<p>As the model name suggests, the legendary "cold-air grabbing" Shaker not only looks good with its Satin Black center-mounted hood scoop, snorkeling up from the engine compartment, it also directs cooler air back into the HEMI® V-8 engine. And like the original 1970 Challenger R/T with the Shaker hood, the new 2014 model continues the Dodge tradition of an engine-mounted hood scoop that "shakes" with the powertrain‘s movement.</p>
<p>Designed for muscle-car buffs who can‘t help but tinker with their toys, the Challenger R/T Shaker features the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine producing over 400 lb.-ft. of torque, with a functional Shaker hood with Mopar cold-air intake, conical air filter and optimized air box for improved airflow and performance. Lift the hood and enthusiasts will also be treated to an under-hood "Shaker" badge – reminiscent of the 1970s original.</p>
<p>In addition to its driver-selectable sport-mode powertrain calibration, performance-tuned suspension, four-wheel disc brakes and steering calibration, the Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker includes the Super Track Pak, with high-performance steering gear, brake linings and monotube shock absorbers, P245/45R20 Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car three-season tires and three-mode electronic stability control (ESC) with "full off" mode. All-season performance tires are available at no extra charge.</p>
<p>The new engine setup provides a new factory-designed foundation to maximize three all-new Dodge "Scat Packages," enabling customers to unleash even more power from their Challenger R/T Shaker.</p>
<p>For a dynamically striking look, a new "Shaker style" Satin Black hood, roof and deck-lid stripe graphics visually translate this Dodge Challenger model‘s name, while a Satin Black deck-lid spoiler provides the added downforce needed for 155 mph max-speed runs. For contrast, a body-color grille surround and Gloss Black fuel-filler door are added, while all-new 20 x 8-inch polished-face aluminum wheels with black pockets and a satin "matte" clear coat feature a sculptured five-spoke design. For added detail, "Shaker" badges flank both sides of the hood scoop, while "HEMI" fender badges and a new "Challenger" grille badge in classic script completes the iconic exterior.</p>
<p>On the inside, the new Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker features a unique three-spoke flat-bottom leather-wrapped performance steering wheel with black accent finish and integrated vehicle controls. Corresponding with the steering wheel is a unique "K-Black" painted instrument panel and center- console bezel for a discrete look. Matching the "Shaker" numbered dash plaque are door bolsters with graduated accent stitching that mirrors the logo‘s artistic reverberation. High-performance front seats with aggressive bolsters in premium Nappa Leather in Dark Slate Gray with Sepia accent stitching or Radar Red with Radar Red stitching, feature the "Shaker" logo embroidered on the seat back, along with unique graduated horizontal plow-throughs. For additional detail, the center console armrest is also leather wrapped and finished with accent thread. The aluminum pistol-grip shifter mated to a track- proven Tremec six-speed manual transmission is standard, while a black leather-wrapped shift-knob and die-cast paddle shifters on the back of the steering wheel are available for those who opt for the performance-tuned five-speed automatic.</p>
<p>Adding to the customized interior environment, with one press of the start button, the Shaker logo appears on the available 6.5-inch Uconnect touchscreen.</p>
<p>The new 2014 Challenger R/T Shaker will arrive at Dodge dealerships in the first-quarter of 2014 with pricing for this very well-equipped model starting at just $36,995 U.S. MSRP ($37,495 with the custom one-of-a-kind hood-to-tail stripes), representing a walk of only $2,500 from the Challenger R/T Classic for all of the unique features of this limited production model.</p>
<p>The new Challenger R/T Shaker is available in Billet Silver Metallic, Bright White, Pitch Black, Plum Crazy, TorRed and vibrant Header Orange.</p>
<p><strong>Introducing the New Mopar ’14: Only 100 of the new limited-edition vehicles will be built</strong></p>
<p>Taking the new Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker one step further, the Mopar brand revealed its new Mopar ‘14 Challenger – the rarest limited-production Challenger model announced to date (only 100 to be made), with a distinct "Moparized" look. Additionally, the new Mopar ‘14 is engineered to take on any combination of the three all-new "Scat Packages."</p>
<p>"The Mopar ‘14 is yet another factory-engineered example of how Mopar can make even limited-edition muscle cars like the Challenger even more special," said Gorlier. "With three new 'Scat Packages' and more than 100 proven, quality-tested Mopar performance parts and accessories available for the Dodge Challenger, Mopar makes it simple through its one-stop customization shop."</p>
<p>The Mopar ‘14 Challenger features Bright White or Gloss Black exterior paint, and in keeping with tradition to its limited-edition predecessors — the Mopar ‘10 Challenger, Mopar ‘11 Charger, Mopar ‘12 300 and Mopar ‘13 Dart — is highlighted by the "Shaker style" stripe in "Mopar Blue." For an even more customized look, two additional Mopar Blue stripe options are available, including an all-new "rocker panel" bodyside triple stripe runs with "MOPAR" across the doors; or for an even bolder look, an all-new A-line bodyside stripe that wraps over the deck lid and includes the Mopar "Omega M" logo on the rear-quarter. Enthusiasts hungering for a taste of the new Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker‘s legendary heritage will find satisfaction in the Mopar ‘14 Challenger. Its all-new Satin Black Shaker hood scoop stands out with its raised profile and "Shaker" logo reverberating while the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 is running. Other unique design elements to contrast the Bright White paint include all-new 20 x 8-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels with Mopar center caps, a unique Black Vapor grille surround, Black fuel-filler door and Gloss Black deck-lid spoiler with Gloss Black "Mopar Design" badge and "Mopar" quarter-glass decals.</p>
<p>Providing a factory-customized look is the Mopar ‘14 model‘s Dark Slate interior embellished with unique Mopar appointments. Performance front seats with aggressive bolsters in premium black Nappa Leather feature Mopar Blue accent thread and Mopar Omega M logos embroidered on the seat backs. Additionally, Mopar Blue thread binds the seams of the armrest, pistol-grip shifter boot and three-spoke leather-wrapped performance steering wheel.</p>
<p>As the Mopar ‘14 ownership should be as unique as the ride itself, Mopar created a serialized instrument panel plaque, customized monroney label and "Mopar" branded key fobs. The Mopar- designed vehicle tradition continues, as owners of the Mopar '14 Challenger will receive a custom- crafted personalized owner‘s kit with a Mopar ‘14 brochure, unique Mopar ‘14 memorabilia, and customized items crafted with the serial number of each vehicle.</p>
<p>The new Mopar ‘14 takes vehicle customization to new heights. Already equipped with unique Mopar Design accessories from the factory, customers of the Mopar ‘14 will be able to add even more catalog accessories installed at the Mopar Custom Shop before arriving to their local dealer. And to take it even further, customers can choose to take it up another notch with Mopar accessories from their dealership.</p>

<p><strong>All-new Dodge “Scat Packages”</strong></p>

From cold-air intakes, performance cam shafts and "optimized" engine calibrations, Scat Packages 1, 2 and 3 enable Challenger R/T Shaker — as well as other 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 Dodge Challenger and Charger models — maximum performance solutions designed and tested from the factory.</p>

<p><strong>November 5, 2013</strong></p>
<p>2013 marks an important milestone for Dodge. This year is the 45th anniversary of the legendary “Scat Pack Club” which Dodge created to unite the brand's performance vehicle enthusiasts. Little did they know the club would transform and become so much more than that. The club morphed and became a over-arching performance philosophy which in turn created the need for more power. Dodge and Mopar responded with factory-engineered performance kits that would become known as “Scat Packages.”</p>
<p>Tonight at the 2013 SEMA show, Dodge and Mopar are bringing back the “Scat Packages” for the Dodge Charger, Challenger, Dart. There will be three different levels of performance available that range from a cold air intake and exhaust to ported and polished heads and hi-flow performance headers. All packages will come with a badge denoting what package you have on your vehicle.</p>
<p>“The Scat Pack performance philosophy has always been the core of Dodge DNA. Bringing back factory stage kits allows Dodge enthusiasts to extract the maximum performance from their vehicles without the fear and guesswork typically associated with modifying late-model vehicles,” said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO of Dodge.</p>
<p>The 'Scat Packages' go on sale next spring.</p>

<p>Good things are coming in many packages for Dodge owners who love performance and delving into Dodge‟s rich history.</p>
<p>In honor of the 45th anniversary of the legendary “Scat Pack Club” that played a prominent role in Dodge heritage, Dodge and Mopar today announced the introduction of new Scat Package performance stage kits for the 2014 Dodge Challenger, 2014 Dodge Charger and 2014 Dodge Dart at the 2013 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas.</p>
<p>In 1968, Dodge united the brand's performance vehicle enthusiasts through the creation of the Scat Pack Club. The Scat Pack Club quickly transformed and expanded from an enthusiast club into an over-arching Dodge performance philosophy. This shared philosophy ultimately evolved into the desire for even more performance. Dodge and Mopar brands partnered to respond to this need by delivering factory-engineered performance stage kits that would ultimately become known as “Scat Packages.”</p>
<p>“The Scat Pack performance philosophy has always been the core of Dodge DNA,” said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO, Dodge Brand. “Bringing back factory stage kits allows Dodge enthusiasts to extract the maximum performance from their vehicles without the fear and guesswork typically associated with modifying late-model vehicles.”</p>
<p>Scat Package 1, 2 and 3 kits will be made available for the 2014 Dodge Challenger, Charger and Dart, all at a cost-effective price, allowing enthusiasts to step up performance at their own pace. Each Scat Package kit includes a numbered hard badge associated with its performance stage, so enthusiasts can proudly display the emblem on their vehicle as a badge of honor.</p>
<p>“The new Scat Package kits reinforce our commitment to the performance arena,” said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group LLC‟s service, parts and customer-care brand. “With multiple kits available, we can suit the performance upgrade needs of our owners.”</p>
<p>The Scat Package performance upgrade kits will be available in the Spring of 2014.</p>
<p><strong>2014 Dodge Challenger</strong></p>
<p>Scat Package 1 achieves a significant horsepower boost through three modifications, including a Mopar cold-air intake to provide increased air-flow into the engine, Mopar cat-back exhaust to free up downstream airflow, and an all-new performance calibrated engine controller, optimized to the 5.7-liter HEMI® engine.</p>
<p>Scat Package 2 adds approximately double the horsepower bump and is geared towards the performance enthusiast looking for that competitive edge. In addition to a customized, optimized performance calibration feature tailored for Scat Package 2, a new Mopar performance camshaft works in conjunction with the components of the Scat Package 1 kit to take advantage of improved engine breathing and deliver that additional acceleration advantage.</p>
<p>Scat Package 3 takes aim squarely at the competitive enthusiast who is looking for extreme performance and ultimate bragging rights. Gains of more than three-times that of Scat Package 1 are realized with the customized, optimized performance calibration tailored for Scat Package 3, new Mopar performance CNC-ported cylinder heads, Mopar performance camshaft and Mopar hi-flow headers.</p>
<p>Complementing the 2014 Dodge Challenger's ultimate performance is Mopar's plethora of stand-alone performance products, which assure a commanding presence. The chassis sits on 20-inch Classic II forged aluminum wheels finished in Hyperblack II with a polished lip. The Scat Package kits offer additional performance upgrades, including an electronic variable quick-dump side exhaust, front and rear strut bars and an adjustable suspension kit with a coil-over kit and stabilizer bar, which guarantees an experience to please all the driving senses. Additional features include a black concept hood and side valence, along with a black fuel filler door, black hood pins and sequential tail lamps.</p>
<p>The interior is truly unique, upgraded with Katzkin black performance leather seats and black performance leather door-panel inserts that carry the Dodge brand‟s stripes. The Dodge Challenger logo is embroidered in bright red on the front leather seats, and red stitching accents the seats, shifter boot and steering wheel. Dodge flat-bottom performance steering wheel and pistol grip shifter provide precision control of this ultimate performance Challenger. Subtle details continue with red seat-belt webbing and red carpet bindings, satin black and black chrome bezels, and gloss-black trim on the steering wheel, center stack, center console and door handles, giving this Challenger the customized looks to match its extreme performance attitude.</p>

<p><strong>2014 Dodge Charger</strong></p>
<p>The Scat Package 1, Scat Package 2 and Scat Package 3 offerings for the Dodge Charger also mimic the Scat Package options for the 2014 Dodge Challenger, duplicating exactly the horsepower gains and lists of available modifications.</p>
<p>Similar to the Dodge Challenger, the 2014 Dodge Charger shown at SEMA is customized with Mopar products separate from the Scat Package kits. The Charger rests on 20 x 9-inch unique lightweight wheels, embellished with black Mopar center caps and a Hyperblack II finish. The body is amplified with a side valence, a unique new front splitter and Redline rear spoiler. A Scat Pack hard badge in the rear quarter window provides a visual key of ultimate bragging rights.</p>
<p>The interior feel of the 2014 Dodge Charger follows that of the Dodge Challenger displayed near it. It includes Katzkin black performance leather seats, black leather door panel inserts featuring red leather Dodge stripes and red accent stitching. Other unique touches include red seat-belt webbing, red carpet bindings, and red embroidered Dodge Charger logo in the front seats.</p>
<p>Adding to the customized look on the interior are gloss-black steering-wheel spokes and black chrome on the door handles, cluster rings, instrument panel bezels, center console trim, and steering-wheel center ring. Mopar provides further appeal to the Dodge Charger with added bright pedal kit, pistol-grip shifter, door-sill guards, and advanced technology with a wireless charging pad.</p>
<p>The Dodge Charger‟s Scat Package kits are supplemented with front and rear strut bars, an adjustable suspension kit featuring a coil-over kit and stabilizer bar and an electronic variable quick-dump side exhaust, combining performance enhancements that will be sure to stimulate all the senses.</p>
<p><strong>2014 Dodge Dart</strong></p>
<p>Completing the Scat Package offerings for Dodge at SEMA is the 2014 Dodge Dart GT, powered by a 184 horsepower 2.4-liter Tigershark engine with six-speed manual transmission.</p>
<p>The Dodge Dart offering consists of three kits, with Scat Package 1 providing a shot in the arm of performance and handling improvements from Mopar through a cold-air intake, performance brake pads and a new short-throw shifter.</p>
<p>The next-level, Scat Package 2 amps up horsepower by providing Dodge Dart owners with a no- nonsense customized engine calibration to work in harmony with a Mopar cat-back exhaust.</p>
<p>At the top level, Scat Package 3 provides the ultimate package for those seeking optimal track times. Included is a Mopar big brake kit, including 13-inch vented rotors, four-piston front calipers and stainless steel lines to maintain optimum temperatures during extreme braking maneuvers. Also included is a performance suspension comprising of adjustable springs for ride height, adjustable dampening struts and front and rear sway bars.</p>
<p>Mopar modifications extend beyond the Scat Package kits with the dual vented functional aluminum hood, which captures cool air for the Mopar cold-air intake and exhausts hot air to achieve optimal operating temperature.</p>
<p>The aero package from the limited-edition Mopar ‟13 Dart is imported into the 2014 Dodge Dart, with Mopar side sills, chin splitter and rear diffuser, and a unique new three-piece decklid spoiler to boost downforce. A new exhaust dump with side exhaust helps the engine breathe, and the Dart rides on concept 19 x 8-inch lightweight gloss black wheels, accented with Mopar logo center caps.</p>
<p>As with the Dodge Challenger and Charger, Katzkin performance leather seats add a premium touch to Dodge Dart‟s interior. Door bolster inserts with a red border and red accent stitching on the seats, dash, armrest, wheel and shift boot are also found inside, along with red seat-belt webbing on the driver‟s side, red trim accents and premium floor mats with red piping. Black chrome graces the door pulls, HVAC bezels, and shifter cluster, while an array of Mopar accessories, including the bright-pedal kit, leather-wrapped shift knob, bright door-sill guards, molded cargo tray and wireless charging complete the interior.</p>
