OK yea the vent detailing is just bizarre. I predict this will be switched out very, very quickly.

The profile is styled really nicely. The front, however, is a little too aggressive for a mainstream family sedan.
I almost feel like this is the G6 we should have gotten, except with a twinport grille.
-
The outgoing rear is way too flat, but this one moves too far in the other direction; the taillights are a little "bulgy" and I have to see them all lit up in person to decide whether or not I agree with those who call them "bedazzled"-looking.
This design just seems like it would be more appropriate for an SS or coupe iteration than a sedan LTZ...I think I'd like it better if it were toned down slightly. Less is more.

A blacked-out honeycomb grille would look way less "blingy" and far more upmarket.
-
The outgoing model has a classier, more expensive-looking lower fascia. While I like the more-streamlined headlights, the grille is a bit angular and overall the design loses the upmarket look of the 2008 model.

The Camaro-esque gauge surrounds cheapen what would otherwise be a nicely designed instrument panel. Less is more.
Ditto with the 1985-throwback horizontal "vent" detailing on the upper/lower dash divider.
