  1. My wife and I love the Nox Sport. Been waiting a long time for the rumoured SS with the bigger engine. I am perfectly content that it's labelled Sport. :pbjtime:

Gotta love the 3.6 VVT with the 6 speed transmission. The interior also looks much more upscale...especially with the side bolsters.

Can anyone give a definite answer if it will be a true dual exhaust or is it just for good looks?

Furthermore, I'm aware it will be available 3rd quarter 2007, but when will dealers be taking orders and when will the retail pricing be available?

Finally, is there going to be any special paint colours available only to the Equinox Sport? If there are not any different colours, then we'll be ordering the new Deep Ruby Metallic with that lovely Ebony leather interior and NO roof rack. :pbjtime::pbjtime::pbjtime::pbjtime:

  2. The new 2008 Saturn Vue Green Line 2-mode hydrid system is definitely the vehicle I'm ordering for my wife. The mini SUV is sized just right, has those Euro looks, stunning interior, and promises very economical motoring.

45% improvement in fuel economy is something we Canadians value very much!!

You read it here first: The Saturn Vue (in Green Line Dual Mode Hybrid Form) will come with the Direct Injection 3.6L HF V6. :pbjtime::pbjtime::pbjtime:

With a 45% improvement in fuel economy, I'm not expecting 300+ HP, but the motors and engine combined should at least provide more than the XR/Redline's 250 HP 3.6L alone.

And when will it be here?

  3. This is all interesting information.

For me the vehicles listed that we'd most likely be buying would be an Equinox SS or a G6 GXP.

Of course my main question that wasn't answered yet was the engine.  Is the 275hp in the Equinox SS the final engine? Or could a direct injection version be offered by it's release (wondering of the next gen Redline Vue will get the 275 hp also?).

Finally, and most imporantly....I am waiting to see if there is any chance the 2008 G6 convertible will get a 6 speed auto and 3.6 liter engine. If the vert gets that....then that is the vehicle we get over an Equinox, Rav4, Mini, G6 coupe, and any other.

I found you.....I finally found you!!!! You must be my long-lost twin!!

My wife just loves the Equinox/Torrent twins, but I've been holding out for the 3.6 V6 275 Hp motor. My first question is about the release dates? When can we order one of those get-up-and-go motors?

Barring its imminent arrival, when is the G6 Coupe Convertible gonna gen the 3.6/ 6 speed tranny combination? This is the 2nd most coveted GM vehicle in our household.

Please, see if you can find some release dates! :hissyfit:

  4. "Build it and they will come!"

I know....I know.....I am borrowing this line from Kevin Costner's movie, Field of Dreams. But it fits the photos and video oh so perfectly.

I will be one of the first owners WHEN the Challenger comes to market. 2008 would fit my timeframe just about right. :pbjtime:

  5. I think 200,000 by the end of 2008 is okay. The Zetas won't come on strong until 2009, so that means they should still be getting the DI. Also, note that it says 1 out of every 6 vehicles by 2010, so I assume that means trucks and SUVs too; I wouldn't expect many trucks or SUVs to get the DI except for the SRX and the Lambdas, so really its 1 out of every 2 1/2 cars probably. I'm guessing Aveos, most Cobalts, some Malibus, and most stuff that still has OHV V6s by then will not get DI.

The 200k by the end of 2008 probably means the CTS, possibly SRX and STS, and Holdens. What's important is the 1 out of every 6 statement in NA by 2010.

I'm wondering if the oft-rumoured Equinox SS/Pontiac Torrent GT twins will be getting this upgraded DI 3.6 VVT. Someone remarked that this will be a 2008 model release coming onstream in July 2007. So, my question is whether this engine will find its way into the Theta twins? i want one!
  6. Nope, it's getting the 3.6 and I'm guessing a 6-speed auto. Originally it was supposed to get the 3.9 and production was to start in March '06, but they decided to give it the 3.6 and production is now starting July '07.

All this talk about the Equinox not deserving the SS badging. I couldn't care less whether they call it an SS or LTZ. All I know is that I want a sportier version Nox with a more powerful engine. I refuse to buy the Chinese 3.4 and am holding out for the 3.6.

Call it what you will.....it matters not.

Surely, that more powerful engine will bring it some updated suspension tuning, those 18" wheels, maybe a plusher interior and other cosmetic upgrades. Come July 07, I am ordering the "sportier" Equinox.

  7. They absolutely need to produce it. It was just too terrific of a design to let go.

DCX would be foolish NOT to bring this retro Challenger to market. I am a middle-aged Canadian who grew up adoring the muscles cars of the 60's and 70's. I currently drive an o4 Grand Prix GTP with Competion Group which I love. However, in 2 years this GP will be fully paid for and ready for my wife and kids to drive around.

The Challenger is my dream machine since I absolutely adore its retro Macho styling cues. I know it is a very polarizing styling exercise......you either love it or loathe it. I certainly believe that there is a viable market for 20,000 Challengers per year. I would probably opt for the 5.7 Hemi firstly, with the 6.1 as my second choice. However, it must be an automatic transmission for my tastes and driving needs. Since I drive 40,000 km per year, it most definitely needs to be an automatic shift.

    :pbjtime:

Secondly, if this vehicle is NOT given the green light, I would not be a candidate for the upcoming Camaro or retro Mustang. Even though I admire the designs, I believe them to be too young for me.

My second choice would be the upcoming restyled and as of yet, unseen, 2008 CTS. It sounds like a great looking vehicle. Hopefully it will not be overpriced for my budget. If so, then I would hold out for the new 2008/2009 Pontiac GTO. I am assuming that the Challenger/GTO would be market competitors.....big motor, big power, a 2 door rocket. :pbjtime:
