It's funny that all of the Toyota people seem to think that "everything is ok"

Yeah, we GM fans have been there/done that. We thought everthing was ok back in 2005 when GM kept saying "We have BILLIONS of dollars to run the business" My, how things changed.

But I'm sure Toyota will come out of this as the golden boy as always. The justice would just be too sweet for it to turn out any other way.

What makes you think I was saying "everything is ok"? I was responding to the idiotic conspiracy that has absolutely no merit. It's more useless Toyota bashing.

My guess is they're planting the seeds of a move of much of their production to Mexico, Canada, or anywhere else cheaper. All those American workers that they pretend to care about will be out of work, and all those who claim that Toyota is as American or more American than GM/F/C can drink a nice tall glass of STFU juice.

Many companies have successfully changed their public image not by changing their name, but by changing their corporate identity. GM could come up with a new logo.

Interesting..I'm surprised they instead haven't developed a coupe version of the Prius to appeal to the green youth market.

The idea of the sporty RWD Toyota seems so odd, as the era of RWD Supras and Celicas seems long past..

Toyota was producing the MR2 Spyder just 4 years ago for the US and until 2007 for the rest of the world (We got shafted), but Toyota has proven they can do RWD, as evidenced by the Supra, MR2's, Cressidas, and older Celicas. In Japan they have some sportier RWD cars. The Mark X is an awesome car and would fit great in Toyota's lineup as a true Cressida replacement. Much better than the Avalon.

The Toyo car got cancelled, btw.

GM is the only major corporation HQ'd in Detroit. If they leave, it will be a huge blow for the city.

My dad's Camry hybrid is an early build and was built in Japan but now all the USDM ones are built in KY. Great cars, I get 41 mpg driving it and I'm not kidding either. And I'm not exactly light on the throttle.

I'd like to see the all-new, totally AWESOME Pontiac G3 get it's GM Daewoo ass get blown up and have a me in my 1984 Toyota Cressida drive by and take the drivers to safety. What a happy ending!

Good review. I don't really like the style of the new Accord. They've always been good cars, but this one seems a bit too big and bloaty, IMO. I liked the last gen better.
