Fusion XL.
They shortened the length but stretched the wheelbase. It is less than 200 inches now. It is about where it was in the 1990's. They fixed the interior at least. I saw this on another website, but the taillamps are just like the Australian Ford Falcon taillamps.

The Australian arm for Ford had a hand in design of this car. Since it is "One Ford", maybe the new Taurus is a global car to be sold on several contienents. They may be doing the Taurus/Falcon thing like they do the Fusion/Mondeo thing.
Also consider this same car was being driven around and seen in spy photos.
I suspect when and if we get this car, we will not get the Chinese "business" interior.
My only issue is now this car comes in at 197 inches and Ford Fusion is 192 inches, what is going to stop them from competing and what is the difference?
Chevrolet is about to do the same thing with Malibu and Impala.
Also of note, at least Taurus went back to its orginal six window design it started out with in the 1980's.
