  1. I have to protest your opinion that the interior of the TSX is "busy"...Hopefully you refer to the tech-package equipped TSX which is SLIGHTLY more complicated inside than the base model. However I think the layout of the TSX's dash is extremely minimalist and user friendly while not being absolutely boring like say a BMW.

  2. It still seems to be a popular car, at least in the NYC metro area. I get quite a few of them when working valet at the local catering halls. The CVT I guess is just something I'd have to get used to. It doesnt seem to work as well paired up with the 4-cyl in the Altima. Why have paddle shifters either?? Esp annoying ones mounted to the column that get in the way. (Yes, I'm aware that's the way they're "supposed" to be) That being said, I do like the wide and low-slung feel that you get from behind the wheel and some of the higher optioned models feel much nicer inside but then you're talking $40k plus which isn't much value for the money.

  3. "Like all other top shelf GMCs wearing the Denali badge, it is entirely an appearance and comfort package with no performance enhancements."

Doesnt the Yukon Denali come with a 6.2 V8 and AWD instead of the 5.3 and 4WD thats on the standard yukon??

  4. Drew, you know I'm very close to New York City, right? :AH-HA: I can't spend $1,200 on a new camera, but I can see what I can do to improve my photo taking equipment :P

HEY!! I already called being drew's assistant while at the NYAS!!

  5. Saw a sharp white (no vinyl top) '76-77 Monte Carlo w/ large (19-20 inch) chrome wire wheels on white wall tires. Not sure what this style is called, wheels are too big to be a traditional lowrider.

Saw a primered '72 Monte Carlo w/ the same style wheels and tires as the '76-77.

    a Donk???

  6. Saw this beauty (Camino will agree!) when we were in the Lancaster area Saturday (the picture was taken at the Goods Store on Route 23):

Needless to say I was very happy to see a mid-to-late '80s GMC Caballero out in the wild (it was in excellent shape, btw). Funny thing is the door artwork states North Carolina (N.C.) yet the plates are Delaware?

    plates are maryland

Marchionne: Jeep is finally getting a pickup... kinda

Jeep Gladiator Concept – Click above for high-res image gallery

During a roundtable meeting in Detroit, Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne confirmed that Jeep will be getting a new model in the near future, one that he's classifying as a "multipurpose" vehicle fitted with "a truck bed."

Although Marchionne stopped short of calling the Jeep a pickup, he did reference the 2005 Gladiator concept (above) and said "there's better than a 50% chance that you'll get one."

Just as intriguing, the perpetually sweatered-CEO told the assembled media that the cargo-hauling Jeep will come to market whether the Ram brand likes it or not, saying, "They're totally peeved off at the fact that we're going to have anything that looks like a pickup truck with a Jeep badge on it. I actually think there's space for it." So do we Mr. Marchionne. So do we...

  8. Nice car!

The transmission problems were from the first 5ATs and have been ironed out. You shouldn't have any of the problems that the early Accord 5ATs did.

I just had to have my Audi towed the other day, for the second time. I'm about ready to go back to Acura. I should have bought the TSX in the first place, but I love having AWD now.

my b/f has an 05 (B6 Gen) A4 1.8T with automatic and quattro...its pretty decent however his has been solidly and thoroughly beat and dirtied on by him and his sister lol...both have little to no knowledge about cars beyond (passably) driving them...it currently has about 110k on it and still soldiers on but of course has had a ton of work done over the years

    Beak.

yes...but no where near as beakish as the TL...by a long shot lol

  9. the grille really grows on you quickly..in fact im not a huge fan of the 2011 tsx grille i feel that its too one dimensional and the horizontal slats

dont match the honeycombish look of the lower grille...the current style matches perfectly...also the polished aluminum blade really makes it classy

looking and its not a protrudint beak like the TL's is. I love the way it drives and handles feels very planted and responsive however i feel like its

a tad too high riding and the suspension is just a little uncomfortable on these $h!TY NYC area roads...i am slightly concerned about the build

quality...just brought it in to have several rattles silenced and clips reattached :-/ not something i expected from a honda...the transmission is

delightfully responsive..hope it holds up better than my moms former 03 accords did (total failure at 44k)...thats pretty much all i can think of

aside from a few other small issues such as a few display settings not staying where i set them when restarting the car and just some unintended

design flaw that allows water to basically POUR in during even a light rain when i crack the window to have a smoke...until i have the money for

window deflectors ill have to keep a towel in the car to lay over the door electronics...

thanks for the well wishes guys

  10. Chris and I met up finally (sort of unexpectedly, at that) and we romped around the Detroit area to all the sweet exotic dealerships. Alot of the cars, I wasn't expecting to be there. Who walks into a Maserati dealership to find an Alfa 8C sitting in the showroom. I never expected to see a Veyron... ever, either. Such beautiful cars. And the exhaust note of that Lambo LP560 is to die for. I think I could settle for one to replace the Jetta. :P

    i hate you cory....officially :)

  11. The Suburban is dead to me now that there is no such thing as a barn door option, and no such thing as a GMC Suburban (who the hell wants a Yukon XL?!). What happened to the days of these things being big, rugged, utilitarian work vehicles? Four swiveling heated leather captain's chairs and a TV for everybody aren't things I think about when you're pulling up on a jobsite. Especially when to top it all off it's a useless goddamn hatchback like a f@#king Honda Civic.

i HATED the barn door option it completely killed rearward visibility we always got the drop down tail gate option where the glass retracted into the tailgate which then changed over to the liftglass/drop down tail and then finally to the full lift gate....

each of them had their pros and cons....my fave personally was the split glass/gate cuz when i used it for work i could put the tailgate down for a work surface and in bad weather the equipment was protected by the glass over it

  12. Mikey, I guess your "big blue johnson" problem has moved just a tad to the south, eh?

haha way to rub it in

That's a nice Burb, dude; why'd you get rid of it? Very unusual to see one of that generation without the privacy glass in back, but I like the look, personally. Half-ton or 3/4? Two or four wheel drive?

it was custom ordered by my grandfather back in 93 he had it from 94 to 99 my dad had it from 99 to 05 and i had it from 05 to late 06...i got the G5 in sept 06 and my mom used the suburban after her lease expired on her accord cuz she didnt feel like making payments....eventually believe it or not the insurance on the truck ended up being a lot more than a brand new car would so i sold her a G6 sedan from my dealership and we "donated" BBJ to a family friend in need of a car...i cried as we dropped it off but i smile every time i see the gentleman driving it around because i remember how happy he was when we gave it to him...

its a 94 1500 2wd with the silverado package 350 tpi (or tbi?) motor and a 700r4 4 speed trans....the most bullet proof powertrain ive ever seen....that thing took a beating from 3 generations of drivers ESPECIALLY me....i am quite possibly one of the most destructive drivers out there (i go through over 30,000 miles and a set of tires and brakes a year in the G5 for example)...also those bolts you see on the side are the result of a mistake in ordering on the dealerships part...they accidentally ordered it with the optional camper style mirrors that bolted onto the sides....i still have them laying around somewhere...never been used at all

    my dads been

  13. ugh such a sexy sight....i miss my 94...still see her around from time to time....had 240k all original when i got rid of it

he was affectionately named "Big Blue Johnson" by my friends lol
