Love the video. I'd agree that this is a Corvette pushrod motor, and probably the LS7.
A 500hp family rocket ship.!!

What kind of crossover is Cadillac getting to replace it? I admit, I've never really been a fan of the boxy shape of the SRX, but from all accounts I've read, it's a very competent vehicle.
It could stand an exterior update. It would look nicer with the sixteen grill and nicer headlamps.
-
I'm impressed with the new emphisis on details, like the hand stiched leather seating and upgraded and premium looking dash.
As for the exterior, I really like the sixteen inspired grill. I would have hoped that Cadillac could have pushed the envelope in
the rear styling and gone for longer vertical tail lamps like the 69 Eldorado.
Summing up, I think it makes a bold statement, and should be well received by the public.

Sweet looking convertable. As awesome as the coupe looks, this is even better. WOW.!!
-
Yeah I saw this in last months issue of MT. We all must remember that the car mags never get advanced
designs right, so I take this with a grain of salt. It's going to look more retro than this design. Nice try MT.

I'm hoping we'll see the 2009 Impala concept.
-
And impressive SUV. So much nicer styling wise than the Vue.
-
Very little difference between the current Astra that is here in Europe.
It's already nice, so minor front changes just enhance it further.

I look forward to Thursday with great anticipation and excitement. What great news to have the icon come roaring back.!

Nice job capturing this shot.

Needs to gain momentum. The Euros thought, "Ahh, great, another Cadillac, another American car." Now they need to be shown that's not the case.
No, that's not it. They know it's a Saab underneath and it doesn't interest them as Europeans don't care much for Saab. Plus it needed to be RWD to compete with the 3 series. Simply put it's just not good enough for Europe. It's just an average car dynamically with a Cadillac body.

This must be real if its on the main page! And I hope that there is a sedan!
There currently isn't a sedan, which makes quite a quandry for entry in the USA, where hatchbacks don't sell well. It will be interesting if GM spends the extra money to design a sedan version.

A nice styling upgrade from the current model. Perhaps we will see a
version for North America.

NO NO NO NO NO
All WRONG!
There is no update to the STS this soon. It's simply doing more testing for the Blue Devil!
That's a real shame. The STS has a rather bland front end. The sooner they
give it the Escallade grille the better.

Lutz is a good visionary guy. It encourages me when he makes
statements that were smarter now. I look forward to the Saturn
Aura and Outlook.

Yeah, just take a look at the G6! The concept was amazing, and then look what we got for the final product.
Yeah, isn't that the truth. I was really let-down when the production version of the G6 came out. Keeping concepts truer to there orig design is usually the best way to go.
-
Yes this seems very interesting. So when exactly are we getting the new CTS? Could it be that the 2007 will be a short year like the 2006 GMT800s? Maybe the 2007s will be produced through the summer and fall of 2006 and then the line will be converted to 2008 models for a January release?
Ah-Ha - do you have any information on this? Could it be that GM has a surprise for us? Will we see an all new CTS this fall?
They need the new CTS as quick as possible. The current version is already getting a little long in the tooth.
-
Nice pic of the underpinnings! Looks production ready to me, now build it damn it, that means you GM!!
This is the first underside picture I've seen too. Thanks for providing a nice view of the independent rear suspension.
-
What hideous looking rear tail-lights. I guess there not capable of making a tasteful looking design.

Saab is just another anchor that weighs GM down. Sell it off to the highest bidder. They probably spend more on Saab than they make.
I don't know if the General can swallow it's pride and rid it self of Saab. I do agree that it's a boat anchor and hasn't turned profit yet.!

I would strongly suggest the GM blog website, as Bob Lutz and all the important brass read all the comments sent in. Direct link is www.fastlane.gmblogs.com
The current topic is about the unveiling of the concept Camaro. You can all make a difference by entering your comments on the Camaro. Let Bob know how you feel about making this concept a reality.

For all us Camaro die-hards it's a dream come true. Just renews my faith in GM. When their backs are up against the wall, they produce the best designs that have emotion and soul. First Solstice, now this awesome Camaro concept. Hope they don't water it down for production.

Gosh, I'm still a little overwelmed, almost like I was a kid having his first wet dream.! I gotta have this car, but I need to move back to the states to get one.
Just got to convince my wife that the car won't be more important in my life than her.

I get tired of people always dumping on people in California. I live in San Jose just south of San Francisco and not everyone here are tree hugging hippies that drive Prius'. I hardly ever see those ugly things anyways the point is that GM has a perception problem. There alot of my friends that love GM products. One of my friends has 96 GMC Jimmy, another a '01 Silverado. My friends dad bought a Ford and hated it so he bought another Silverado and all his kids drive Chevys. Most people who drive GM's love them but you have to get them to drive them. Most people don't know that there Prius' won't get the gas millage that they claim they drive cause they stand out and make a statement. That is what GM cars need to do in future need to make a statement that you are well off and educated and that you drive the best car money can buy. right now they stand for people who are not that well educated are Neo-conservative Bush lovers and until that "Perception" changes GM will never be sucessful. Thats why there aren't that many GM's on west coast.

Totally disagree with your thoughts about why there not that many GM vehicles on the west coast. First of all, I spent 46 years of my life living mostly in the Bay Area, which is also where you live. There is a huge Asian and Pacific Islander population, who don't drive domestic vehicles. They prefer Japanese and German cars. Living in San Jose, you should know that. It has absolutely nothing to do with what political party they endorse, or whether or not their educated or not.

The custom stiched interior looks much more classier. I'm happy to see that GM woke up to the fact
that the interior needed an upgrade.
