1960 Kaiser Carabela Hearse Funeral Car

Introducing the 1960 Kaiser Carabela Hearse Funeral Car, a unique piece of automotive history with new tires and a rebuilt 226 straight 6 engine and manual transmission with column shift. This stunning hearse is a rare find and is sure to make a statement wherever it goes.

Kaiser Motors Argentina was a subsidiary of Kaiser Motors Corporation, which was founded in the United States in 1945. In 1955, Kaiser established its Argentinean division, which quickly became the largest automaker in the country. The Kaiser Carabela was one of their most popular models, and this hearse version is a true testament to the company's dedication to quality craftsmanship.

The exterior of this Kaiser Carabela Funeral Car is sleek and stylish, in distinct classic black paint with chrome accents. It has an impressive 190" wheelbase and 285" overall length, which commands attention on the road. The car features wrap around back glass, rear fold-down gate, and 89" sliding casket holder with rollers, making it a practical and functional vehicle for funeral homes and directors.

The ornate casket cover with columns and working flame illuminated casket lights add a touch of elegance and sophistication to the hearse. The rebuilt 226 straight 6 engine ensures a smooth ride, and the manual transmission with column shift gives the driver full control of the vehicle.

    Details:

    Make: Mosler
    Model: Consulier LX
    Motor: 2.2l Turbo
    Trans: Getrag 555 (5speed)
    Miles: 11,288
    Vin: 43CSA1121LRC1C024
**Never Been Titled! You can be the first Owner!!!**

    Description:

This is a very limited production vehicle, this is not a kit car! This will be titled as a Mosler Consulier! We have gone through the vehicle and most wear items have been replaced along with all fluids personally by our Staff. The car Shows extremely well for its age and honestly can be driven anywhere. It has brand new Tires and Suspension Components. T-Tops are functional and do come off with ease. This Consulier is a Piece of Automotive history.
The Consulier was widely criticized for its appearance, but it was highly successful in racing. The Consulier GTP competed successfully in many races, before being banned by the sanctioning body IMSA in 1991. There were a total off 100 Units Produced from 1985-1993, and this is one of the best examples we have seen to date!!!!!

    Exterior:
The exterior shows very well, and still retains the factory paint. It does have a wavy appearance due to the materials used in production (and this is a known issue). This Car really does grow on you, and the amount of looks and questions you get will have your head spinning!! There are several imperfections on the front bumper and we have taken the liberty of pointing them out in our High Resolution gallery.

    Mechanics:
This Mosler Drives as it should, no overheating issues, and or funny sounds, It only has a staggering 11,288 miles. 0-60 times are in the 5 second range, and 1/4 mile times are high high 13s.
Transmission shifts as it should, reverse works perfectly. The suspension is over 20 years old, but it actually feels very tight. Brakes are original and work fine, we did not have to update anything there.

    Brand New:
    Tires
    Sway-Bar End Links
    Distributor
    Fuel filters
    Fuel Pump
    Plugs/Wires
    Battery
    All Fluids

    Key Points:
    -Its a Mosler (Super Rare)
-No Headunit (all other components are there)
-Scuff on front bumper (look at pictures)

You are looking at a vehicle which receives more pictures taken of it on a daily basis then any lamborghini or ferrari I have ever driven. This car is Fun on 4 hidden wheels all day long, however you must be prepared for the "Car Paparazzi" this machine draws. One nice factor is if you do not feel like dealing with the "Paparazzi" then you just leave the car at home. Otherwise you would not believe the positive attention this car brings, You can instantly become involved in just about any event you chose. I am fortunate enough to have been able to drive several of these cars for the past 4 years and I have found that each person who has shown above average interest in the car has brought their friend to come see the car as well, And everyone knows someone fun, which is the exact person they want to show this car too so the cycle goes on and on. I have built this car from scratch, the body is made from fiberglass and carbon with a one inch steel tubular chassis. The craftsmanship under the fiberglass is equal to the looks of this car and it needs to be for the car to stay as nice as it is. This is not a kit car, this is a manufactured car, Where I have had all of the glass made to DOT specs and everything is street legal in Florida I know for sure. The drivetrain in this car is a 2.2 liter 4 cyl chevy motor with a supercharger, so it is pretty fast with 270 HP, and it averages 26mpg. The ride is smooth and solid and reliable. I have installed a complete LED color changing lighting system under the car and inside of the vents which create a nice light show in the evenings, There are also dual batteries with an A / B switch so you will not run the batteries dead at a car show or wherever you leave the car lit up. The doors open by wireless remote, and electric buttons inside, as well as with manual handles inside, the front suspension is fully air adjustable, you will not hit speed bumps unless you decide to drive with zero air in the front air suspension. There is an air tank with a on board compressor which operates the lift system of the vehicle. The small round windows are power operated by switches inside. Here is a very special feature you will not find in many exotics, There is a full back seat in this car, The headroom is minimal, so the rear seating area is perfect for a kid, but not so great for an adult. Ebay would not let me install the year because of the newly assigned vin number. This car does have a clear 2012 Florida Title which indicates the year the car was inspected and titled. The vin number is correct above, the car is titled as ASPT which is "custom assembled" The length of the car for size comparison is longer then a Lamborghini LP640, and the car is wider then a Bugatti veyron. Please call or email me with any questions on this very special machine. I can also email you any other pictures you may like, or video of the car.

  8. Cheers or Jeers: 1981 Buick Riviera Diesel

    Link: http://stcloud.craigslist.org/cto/3850146605.html

This is definitely a rare, collector car that has the potential to be restored the rest of the way and be worth over $10,000.00. It is in very good condition, runs great and has been owned by my grandfather for many years. It has an improved Goodrich 350 diesel engine in it with approximately 30,000 miles. The interior is near perfect with the exception of the headliner needing replacement. The pictures show there is very little rust on the entire car, it was always well taken care of and kept inside. The Leather on top is perfect. The Riviera also has a new alternator, new muffler and exhaust, new heater core, working air conditioning, power steering, power windows, seats, lights, factory radio, and airbag suspension.

2-seat open roadster built from the ground up by owner/seller. Driver and passenger seating areas are separated by engine compartment. Registered in Iowa in 2006 as a Specially Constructed Vehicle. State-assigned VIN is IA036388. Driven daily, so mileage will increase. Suspension loosely based on a GM full-size car with 5"x5" hubs and heavy duty brakes, but everything besides that was fabricated and welded into a completely unitized structure that is extremely rigid. Powered by a carbureted 377 cu. in. small block Chevy (400 block with a 350 crank), professionally built for low and mid-range torque (the car was designed for daily driving, not for racing). 700R4 automatic overdrive. GM 10-bolt rear with 3.23 gears and positraction. 70 mph = 1900 rpm in overdrive. 14-15 mpg during daily commute. Dual electric fuel pumps. Fuel cell. Two alternators and separate charging systems and three Optima batteries (one is for cranking only). Radiator in rear of car. Heaters in both driver's and passenger's compartments. Rear cargo rack is used often but is removeable. Dual spare tire mounts. Power steering but no power brakes (no room for a conventional power brake booser). My latest project was to install a dual Ford EDIS distributorless ignition system, and everything except the crank sensor and 36-1 toothed wheel have been installed and wired, including coils, modules, and a brand-new Megajolt E controller for laptop interface and programming of timing maps. Many EDIS spare parts are included. Also included are two new Dunlop 275/60-15 tires for the rear, mounted and balanced, and many other various spare parts. Fun to drive. Government furlough forces sale; must pay off the family car. Cash only. Located in El Paso, TX. Sorry, I cannot ship it.

    Link: http://brainerd.craigslist.org/cto/3769660642.html

I have here a rare 1958 Scotsman Studebaker. These models were only made for two years. It has a clear title and current plates. I have one original key for it. It is not running but the engine is not froze up. It's a small six, I believe 169 cu. The previous owner took the head off to repair a broken valve which he never finished. The radiator, rotor cap, plug wires and air cleaner box, battery are not there. I have the rear window separate from the vehicle and front windshield does have a crack in it. This is a rolling project with Chevy Rally wheels. I have three of the original wide wheels that go with it. To the right person this would one heck of a great project. The price is $3,500.00 OBO
