I see the new GM/Chevy pickups have the radio antenna on the top of the right front fender as usual.
Where is the antenna on the SUV's(Tahoe, Suburban, Escalade) I see the On Star antenna but this can't be used for radio reception? Is the antenna somewhere else in vehicle?
Its embeded in the rear side glass.

I am wanting to find a 2500 crew cab long box diesel SLT
You should be able to hunt one down in late February.
-
Do we know at all when the 2500 and 3500's will start to be available in Canada? I need to order my truck and the dealer is not giving me the info I need!!
Depends upon what body style HD you want.......
-
After tomorrow, the only GMT800s to still be in production will be HD crew cabs, after Jan 1, it will only be gas engine HD crew cabs. Come February, only 900s.

I'm not sure what to think of this whole thing. On one hand, I am thinking, sweet this car is going to have a retro hood scoop, then on the other hand I'm thinking why didn't I think of this? If a private citizen took a production car and added $100 worth of garbage bags and foam and drove it around Detroit looking for attention to see who would publish it, it would be hilarious. An auto website still makes it funny but not as cool.
In the end, I guess it really all comes back to that age old question of "Should you really believe what you see on the Internet?" I believe the answer will permanently be "no", no matter what the "source".

As someone who almost never posts here, I just look in from the outside and have to laugh at this whole situation of people getting pissed off.
As I see it, it all boils down to this:
-Its a website that people voluntarily join/click
-People express their opinions. Opinions offend people.
That's the nature of life. Some may be hateful, mean, personal, etc but (in my opinion) should never be censored. Having said that, this website is owned by someone. That person can dictate his/her will on whoever/whatever is posted. Oh well, that's life. You're not going to change that, unless you want to buy this site.
A website should not so entrenched in your life that a remark made by somebody disrupts your life in negative way. Its not your spouse constantly saying these things to you in your home on a daily basis, making you life miserable. Its not a coworker harassing you, making your work life impossible. Its not your friends telling you this every weekend at the bar. Hell, its not even a total stranger coming up to you on the street and yelling it in your face. All those situations are ones that are out of your control. This place is in your control. Its a bunch of 1's and 0's stored on a server. That's it. People are always going to think what they want. A message board reply isn't going to change their way of thinking, no matter how much you want it to. Move on with life...

Yeah, funny how that works. If they had sent out reg and ext cab brochures, this thread would be "I got ext and reg cab pictures, but I can't buy them yet! Damn GM, what's wrong with you!".

Heh 4 days before the GMT-900 pickups debuts, and they are still runnin' around in black bags.
That's because the specific truck in that photo will not debut in 4 days. Black bags for a while on that one.

This FWD is like a cancer... we
need to cut it out like a surgeon does to a brain tumor before it spread to
even full size trucks.
Let's not forget what models are going to pay for Zeta to exist...........

I see only one solution: Kirk, Wagoner, Ghosn, and York fight to the death. We shoot the winner
Yes, yes! Thunderdome style!

Least we forget that GM and Nissan/Renault already have had a joint venture for the last 5 years:

-
The three biggest markets for the big trucks are California, Texas, and Florida. Combined that's about a quarter to a third of all sales (SUVs and pickups), with the majority of those being 2WD models, for obvious weather-related reasons. Launches generally start out slow, so even if it occurs during winter, there are always markets in these three states that will sell every one they get.

And how is the Union corrupt? Where is the Deviancy? There is none. They are doing what they are supposed to do. Represent the workers and thier rights!!!!!
Here's a big one I remember off the top of my head:
http://www.nlpc.org/olap/UCU2/03_17_02.htm
It was so multi-layered, it took them 3 years after the strike to figure out what happened.

Info like this is EXACTLY why I posted the topic the other day about Cadillac still being on track.
Looks like GM is poised to make THE SAME mistakes again and let one of their divisions with A LOT of potential fade to nothing.
1 step forward, 3 steps back. That's GM's motto!
Uhhhh, I was being relative. Its not like its showing up in 2029....just that there are more important debuts in the coming year to happen first. Cadillac is going to be just fine. Its the other divisions that need help. The new CTS will be here before you know it.

I posted this on another site, but its relevant here:
Here's my take on this whole mess (it may be a little simplistic):
Who's to blame? Both GM and the UAW.
Should either party focus on who caused this? No, the past is the past. Unless somebody builds a time machine, that's not going to change.
The UAW is very quick to say at contract negotiations that if GM is doing great financially that they deserve some of the pie (i.e. are partially responsible for the wealth). But when times are tough and GM's losing money, they seem to take the stance of "We are not responsible, why should we be punished?" The pendulum swings both ways. GM is bleeding, the UAW needs to help (and I don't mean by finally accepting health care burden that is NOT representative of what Joe Q. American has been paying all along, I'm talking SERIOUS help, i.e. wage decrease, normal health care payout, etc..). Its seems to me that when GM is doing great (2001), the UAW says "Your success is due to our high quality people making high quality vehicles." but when GM bleeds, the stance is "Its management's fault."
I read an article (I wish I could find it to link to), that basically had a Delphi UAW employee saying that they were ready to strike even if it meant taking GM down in oblivion with them. How is this even logical??? Would you rather have a job offer for 50% of your pay or NO JOB AT ALL???
There are ALWAYS choices in life. If you are a Delphi UAW worker you are about to have 2 choices: A) take a lower wage or B) find a new job. That's it. No Option C) Keep your current job with same benefits. And if you take GM down with your strike, you do nothing but guarantee you will have NO job to return to. Think I'm wrong? Go ask the Northwest mechanics how their strategy worked.

Edit: nevermind

This is like a movie where you already know the plot. It's playing out precisely, frame by frame.
Yep. Just like in a horror movie when the main character's girlfriend's roomate starts going into the basement and the music starts playing......in the end, you know its going to end up bad.

I just want to know (from an insider) When will we get to see the next CTS, and how much longer till the we see the next CTS-V. And when I mean see the next vehicle, I mean inside and out, through an auto show or magazine or even a GM press release, no spy photo junk.
My advice is to forget about for a long time.....focus on what's coming up for Saturn and the new pick ups. As for the V, take the forever and add a lot more time....sorry.
-
Any hints you can give the resident spy?
Hmmmm.........Don't fall asleep behind the camera??
-
Ha! No comment.I know this isn't an Outlook or CTS thread - but I am curious. How have you seen both of these cars?
They (camoed cars) are already out there, its only a matter of days before someone snaps a pic of one.Do you have any idea when the CTS will break cover?

Yeah, because you know more than the Manufacturing Executives that were negotiating the UAW contract....
