In this picture, you have a plaque describing the achievement Mercedes Benz had in 1981 in developing the airbag. Mercedes was the first manufacturer in the world to introduce the airbag in 1981...... seven years after it debuted as an option in the 1973 Oldsmobiles and Cadillacs.
