      Grille Mounted Driving Lights

      Parts Cost: $50.00 | Install Cost: $0.00 | Rating: 3/5
Notes: Just a minor exterior mod was the addition of my driving lights in the grille. I bought lights shaped like the grille itself and the R logo, they fit in the grille nicely although they tend to come lose and don't hold their aim. Eventually I plan on

Ever since the '95 Rivieras came out I've always wanted one. One of GM's best designs of the 90's and with a very cool retro yet comfortable interior. The last year of the Series I supercharged 3800 V6 and a 1 year only dash, radio and HVAC controls make my Riv even more rare given how rare the final generation Riv's are. I purchased the Riv in Feb '06 with 64,924 miles. In that time I've had some rather major mechanical issues and I've recently rebuilt the motor and transmission. Despite spending just shy of 8K on the motor and tranny work the car is still not running 100% and the transmission is acting up again and recently threw a code for torque converter clutch failure. The torque converter along with all the internals of the tranny were replaced in the rebuild less than 5K miles ago. I brought it back to Aamco and they claim "it's fine, shifts fine, come pick it up" Well it dosen't shift fine and rarely shifts into overdrive and when it does shift it's very rough. I hopefully can have this issue resolved soon while the work is still under warranty, but seems Aamco is trying to claim the car is fine so as to avoid costly work which they have to cover. But I digress, despite it all I still love my Riviera and hope to hang on to it for years to come.
