Weirdest mish mash of Cutlass parts I've seen. Not an actual convertible, just has no roof. An 88-90 Dash in a 93-96 body with 93-96 seats and an engine that was never available in any Cutlass Supreme. <only the Calais and Achieva>
That engine is what makes me like it :AH-HA_wink:

I am more than a wee bit suspicous of this car but I will post it anyway...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks...0276052380&
Interior says 1988 but outside says I have been rebodied ~1996
If it only has 6500 miles then why was it rebodied???
Either way the price is rediculous...
Thoughts? Opinoins?

Well what is interesting about that was there was one driving around at the Oldsmobile Homecoming show in Lansing two weekends ago...
This was not one of the replicas either - this one has the same targa roof as shown above...
-
B-pillars aren't a f*cking option on a vehicle with an integral roof - GM didn't decide to put them in or leave them out.
Apparently you are unfamiliar with the Mercedes CLK or CL coupes? :AH-HA_wink:

What colors are the windows on the Auroras?
Uhmm that is going to take me a little longer to check - Next time I am home (parents house) I will take a better pic...
Ok - I will ask - Is there one particular color that is rare or something?
-
Off the top of my head:
Hot Wheels:
Auroras: Teal Color, Yellow (taxi?) and black (police car) <-- the Teal color ones were difficult to find 10 years ago
Aurora GTS-1: White, Yellow, Silver, Red and Orange (All with Hot Wheels Logos)
442s: White (w/Hot Wheels Logo), White (quasi Hurst Olds) and some Japanimation character
Demolition Man - Silver Aurora and Red 442 <-- Quite Rare

Sweet collection, I'd like to see some closeups if possible
If only I had my camera that day..... well in June I will take some pictures as I set them out in the swap meet area and post them up...
-
I thought I would share a picture of my collect of 1:64 Olds - Sadly I only had my cameraphone with me...
I have everything from a Matchbox Aerotech (1987), multiple Hot Wheels 442's and Auroras to Johnny Lightning 442, Toronados and more
I had this all layed out as I will be trying to sell my collection at the Oldsmobile Homecoming show in Lansing next month (http://www.reolds.org/homecoming.htm) - Hopefully this sale will help the house/fun car fund
-
Crap I gotta find me the '68 H/O and I will be the Cutlass... just because..

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_...ax_price=&c
It's a '90 Base
It's a convertible...
It's a leather bench seat...
It's a column shift...
This has GOT to be a one of one type of car.... very cool but I don't have $14K sitting around to splurge on it...
EDIT: I just realized it has the digital dash too... hmmm my Trofeo had gauges...

The company that is leading the way to the importation of cars from the country suffering daily recalls( and the resulting suicides, and death penalties) must certainly consider Mexico the 51st state!
Go re-read the post... if the PT switched to the Caliber 'platform' it could be made in Belvidere (or possibly Sterling Heights) as opposed to Toluca where they are building them now
Unforetunately I don't think any of that matters as the decision was made years ago to axe the PT...

2003 Olds Alero - Lansing, Michigan - Production is obviously done and I think they have idled the plant (atleast it looked that way when I drove by last month)
-
2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4 - Belvidere, IL - Still in production but now it is Calibers, Compasses and Patriots... :AH-HA_wink:
-
Either one is good with me as they are both from Olds!! :AH-HA_wink:
-
Alero but only with the 4cyl as others have mentioned...
My favorite un-known Olds stick had to be the 1988 Olds Cutlass International Series with the 5M..
98 Regency - you have a high res picture of that Toro??? That looks like a ringer to my old one...
-
Surprised the 3.5L is even offered as a cop package, considering how awfully slow it is. Mid-8s in the 0-60, yea that's gonna scare anyone.
which is comparable to the CVPI...
-
My timeline:
Bought SRT-4 and loved the oommph but wanted a roadster.... bought Mazdaspeed Miata (turbo) and loved the top down but missed the oommph and couldn't go anywhere in ANY snow... bought another SRT-4 and loved the ooommpph but now I want the DEMON

The one that would be REALLY hard to find would be:
'84-'85 Olds Toronado Caliente with the Diesel...
I think I have only seen a handful at that generation Toro Diesels... let alone a Caliente!
-
Good find - although the article seems very hodge-podgey...

I swear to God I'm going to pistol whip the next guy who says, " Shenanigans."
Anyway, today at lunch a (what I think) was a srt8 Grand Cherokee with masking all over the front, sides, and back but had srt wheels pulled up to me at the light. It had all kinds of computers and diagnostic stuff on the dash. This thing took off like a bat outa hell from the light. It was very impressive, and the exhaust sounded great!
I wish you would have had your camera with!! Supposedly the JGC mules are the ones testing the larger than 6.1L SRT and other motors...
Unrelated note: Do you go to GMI aka Kettering? I was very close but decided I wanted to go to a school that had something other than engineering (aka girls) {no offense to anyone of course} and was just wondering your thoughts...
-
The guy I know who has an SRT-4 hasn't been able to drive it for two weeks because his transmission has been blown to $h! and is being replace. My advice: Never buy a used SRT-4.
Are you my friend and I just don't recognize you?
(Mine was in the shop this week getting a new trans under warranty )
-
I realize that they were only going with current models... but...
An '05 SRT-4 Neon would have won - 5.3 to 60 and a 14.3 quarter mile time...
Makes me wonder what the Caliber SRT-4 will do...
-
Like I said before, performance trim levels does not a performance brand make.
what about the other trim levels of those vehicles? you gonna call an SE Caliber or Avenger a "performance" vehicle? How about the Sprinter and Caravan?
Well by your defination Ford (maybe Aston Martin) or GM does not have any performance brands...
In fact the only ones in the world as Ferrari, Lambo and Porsche?
