    Like I said... it's the Den-Yuk-Alade. Onve vehicle... three different grills. If I'm paying $60 Large for a Slade, I at least would expect a distinct steering wheel. How dumb do they think we are?
  2. I have no doubt that many will line up to buy it... but this is not the kind of vehicle that Cadillac needs to restore its "Standard of the World" reputation. It's a well-built, well-equipped, and glittery Yukon. It's not a game changer like the CTS was
  3. Black Viper... It makes me angry too... I so badly want Cadillac to beat the Euro/Japanese imports. A&S was a unique way to do it. They started out with boldness (love it or hate it)... and then retreated over the past 3 years. It's been "softened" or "dumbed down". This feels like a focus group approved vehicle (which Lutz vowed would never happen again at GM)
  4. That would get my vote, for a tie with, My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.
    I cant stand those 2 songs.

    My vote "My Humps" by Balck Eyed Peas. they play it constantly on XM channel 20.

    Oh yeah... and anything by Kelly Clarkson is starting to get on the nerves
  5. dutch: How is the stance of the Buick Lambda?  Does it sit high off the ground like the Saturn Outlook spy photos that we've seen or does it sit low to the ground like the Chrysler Pacifica?  I hope that it's not like the Pacifica because it looks too much like a station wagon courtesy of its low stance.

    [post="31984"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]

    Stance is like the 2003 Centieme concept... except the production vehicle appears larger. And the front end treatment is a bit more masculine (think Velite or Lucerne) rather than feminine (La Crosse)
  6. How was the interior? Is it similar to the Graphyte concept interior?

    [post="31978"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]

    Didn't get to view the Acadia interior. The surprise to me is that it sounds as if all 3 Lambdas will launch next year. Originally it sounded like Saturn in 2006, GMC and Buick following in 2007 (as 08 models).
  7. Is the interior similar to the concept? Surely not as it was very concept-y. My best bet for the interior would be something similar to the Velite's?

    [post="31970"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]

    Interior is not quite as 1930's deco as the concept, but very elegant.
  8. I don't think you read a word of what I said.

    It wouldn't work and would cheapen and devalue every applicable brand.  Just no.

    [post="31958"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]

    I agree with Croc. Saturn needs to be distinct (with product that finally make that believable) to attract a buying segment not addressed by GM today. It may have intially set out to be the American Toyota, but 20 years later needs to draw in buyers who'd otherwise shop Acura, VW, Mazda, Nissan, Honda. Pontiac just isn't pulling in those types of buyers.
  9. dutch: Which is the Chinese Buick that a possible "5-seater crossover" may be based?  Is that what has been discussed previously here as a (Theta) Equinox rebadge for model year '09?

    Is Centieme confirmed as the name of the Lambda crossover?  If so, did they explain why they wanted to eliminate the name Rendezvous?  Is it thought that the Lambda crossover is much "more" of a vehicle (not just a simple re-fresh), so they didn't want to  use the name Rendezvous?

    When they talked of the 5-seater and he RWD flagship, were images (drawings) shown?  Or just talk?

    Finally, can you shed any more light on the use of "Super" in other Buick models, or the use of "Reserve"?

    Thank you very much!

    [post="31955"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]

    Don't know Buick's Chinese line-up... may be a Theta rebadge.

    Centieme wasn't confirmed, but it won't be Rendevous. This vehicle is such a quantum leap over the R-vous that it really does demand a new name.

    No images shown of any of the pipeline products - La Crosse Super, Lucerne & Lambda were there.

    I think you can expect the return of "Super" to Buicks going forward (like Cadillac's V-Series or Saturn's Red Line). La Crosse looks like an entirely new vehicle with the front end and wheel tweaks.
  10. :( I love the Centieme's grille... oval is much more distinctive, IMO.

    [post="31926"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]

    Interior finish is outstanding. Contrasting French seems on the leather... jeweled dash treatement. Very rich!
  11. Interesting stuff there, dutch.

    I wonder if Holden/Buick/Pontiac would be willing to foot the bill to update the VZ coupe to meet US crash standards?

    [post="31949"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]

    Buick dealers may have to deal with a few years of only carrying 3 products, but there is definitely product in the pipeline. As one dealer put it, "I'd rather have 3 strong vehicles to play with thean 5 or 6 lukewarm offerings.". Lucerne will do great ($35K for fully loaded V8 on same platform as DTS) Centieme should finally live up to the Rendezvous initial promise of going toe-to-toe with Lexus RX.
  12. Acadia (Lambda Crossover) was shown in Vegas this week. Grill is similar to the Envoy/new Yukon treatment. Very sharp, though the Buick version was more distinctive.
  13. dutch: Much thanks for sharing this information.

    [post="31942"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]

    Also talk of introducing a 5 seater crossover below Centieme. Buick has a vehicle like this in China that might be adapted for the US market.
  14. Dutch - You are close on some points. Can't say what however. I wonder how the pictures have spread so much. My prints aren't on 'em!

    [post="31928"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]

    From what I've hear the new dash lighting will follow the new cool blue theme started on the DTS... not the amber lighting of the current CTS/STS?
  15. News from Vegas this week: La Crosse Super rolls out in 2007 Centieme (Lambda crossover0 launches next year... not in 2007 . You'll see it at NAIAS. It is a quantum leap over the Rendezvous. Seats 8! Holds true to the looks of the 2003 concept...only better. More muscular. Lexus RX.. look out! Rainier is done Terrazza is out after 2007 Plans for a RWD V8 flagship still being considered... but at least 4 years away. Same for Velite coupe. Debating new vs. Holden platform.
  16. Croc & Bimmer: How close is the exterior look to the image Motor Trend showed earlier in the year? That car too had an amazingly short deck lid and a tail treatment akin to the Chrysler 300 C. Any side vents behind the front wheel well? Is its grill treatment closer to the current CTS or the more egg-crate 16 concept (like the CGI shown on Hollywood Insider)?
