  1. The 3800 is on it's way out and I expect will be retires soon.

Not sure what V6 the Camaro will get but the V6 car is more important than ony other edition GM will sell.

The V6 will be your volume car and needs to be sold in greater numbers than the V8. This is how and why there still is a Mustang.

The 4th Gen F body just never had a V6 that complimented the car well. Also the egronomic's were very poor for women. They did not like the seating, no trunk, it sat low, and moany short women could not see out the front or back. On the other hand Men loved the car as it was a 4 seat Vette to many.

Ford has always enjoyed a large share of Female Mustang buyers and most were V6 car. When women buy 50% of the cars sold today GM would be foolish to not make sure the Camaro appealed to them to.

Let's face it It is had to find a guy who would not buy a V8 Camaro. GM need to apeal to them but also the folks who would not have bought before.

I am hoping you meant "many" not moany !
  2. I voted yes, most definitely. In 2002 I was all set to buy a SS. My wife (and the fact that I had just bought a brand new house) convinced me instead (in that all too subtle wifely persuasive way) to buy a pick-em-up truck. So I have lived with that regret for the intervening 3 and a half years. If they bring out a new Camaro (which looks very likely according to Red Planet) I will most definitely buy one, as long as it is a Camaro (i.e. RWD, V-8, attitude) Retro or Evolutionary, LRA or IRS all that matters to me is that it looks like a Camaro and goes fast. If they fail in this (which I seriously doubt) then I will look at the next gen GTO or a C-6 (possibly a Challenger as well). Long story short, if they build it true to form, I will buy it!
