    our GM rep has told us that the Monte Carlo and the Impala will be gone after 2008 and replaced by a new sedan, 2dr coupe and convertible, wouldn't say what model.

    as far as we are being told by our GM reps, the 2008 Malibu is a go for a new model and will be powered by the 3.6-V6. :) :)
