compare the GMC Denali XT styling to the styling of the Lacrosse/Lucerne and you have what amounts to a sea of difference only explainable by saying the new GM is a completely different company. And it is. In actuality though, that is in the literal sense, since Denali XT was designed by none other than Holden! And there are still proponents within GM against the formidable talent that is Holden.
Ummm, you are comparing a brand new concept vehicle to a car that has been out for a couple years in the real world...? If that "greatly styled" Holden concept comes out, it won't be for a few years and it will be tuned down for production. By then their will be an all-new, hot Buick replacement out. You are really not making a fair comparison, especially when Holden doesn't have to worry about most of the platform development or financial issues, just tweaking the car.

I feel like I have seen the front of the Coupe before. By any chance was it the car actually under the tarp when Lutz was on 60 minutes and gave us that snippet of a preview a while back and got us all excited and worked up?
Yup, that would be it.

It looks like all those "world-class" cars don`t want to compete with all of the world...A lot of talk at Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin, etc. but not a lot of action...I guess they are a little red-faced at a blue-collar American sports car beating them blue...So much for all that "pedigree."

Clean, crisp designs that are high in quality...Very good. Details like the lighted CD slot show GM is picking up on details. They look good and will be in cars MUCH earlier than you realize.

I saw one in Santorini, Greece. In order to get through, all the oncoming cars had to get onto the sidewalk or back up.
Now that is power...

They still take their shots...but a lot less to use this time...
DAMN GREAT CAR...

I know the CTS is 5-series size, but the 5-series is $46-60,000+ offers 20 way seats, 13 speaker 7.1 sound, power sunshade, adaptive cruise control, V8 engine, etc. The 3-series is priced $33,000-45,000 for the sedan, which the CTS is pretty close to. I am not knocking the CTS, I am just saying that there is no car for $40,000 that can compete with the 5-series, but it looks like if you get a loaded CTS it will cost $47-48,000, and for a couple grand more people can get a 535i which is probably faster and comes with free maintenance and BMW's have great resale value.
The fair matchup based on price and equipment is going to be the CTS vs the 335i and the 335i has a big performance edge due to it's smaller size.
I hope this CTS is a smash hit, because the 3-series alone outsells the CTS, SRX, STS, DTS and XLR combined right now, and Cadillac needs some home run cars soon.
1) You have never even driven the new CTS to compare...
2) No way are the BMWs the same price with equal options...A BASE BMW usually equals a fully loaded Caddy of the same size. Check engine power, etc.
3) Why the 3 series "outsells" is because most are used in taxi fleets around the world. Been to Europe lately? They are a common car and most are sold as base models, not the "luxury" versions we see in NA. In some countries it is the ONLY BMW model you can buy...You will never see a new CTS as a taxi...Taxis = fleet sales...
BMWs are good cars...But you can't price compare them the same...

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The SRX is not dying off just yet.
Exactly...Alternative fuels, anyone?

Said it before...Said it many times...Buick is going nowhere and its future looks great.
Okay, maybe I said it on other sites...

Anyone catch the "August" release month? Told you so earlier...Of course not available everywhere in August, but still here then.

The Devil Does Wear LSA.
Over 500 hp? Absolutely...
Coupe? Yup...
Say bye, bye BMW...You got it.

When he posted the same thing on CZ28 I jumped to conclusion that he was just trolling. After reading all of his posts overthere, specifically in the 5th gen seciton of the board it is obvious that he is privy to plant specific information coming from Oshawa. I would speculate that he doesn't just work the line but is involved with either union relations/negotiations or in manufacturing engineering.
I am not discounting him totally. I think he knows some things. The only problem is he is probably a few tiers from the HQ in Detroit. Oshawa would give him an idea (I am "close" to give you an idea of what I know), but HQ is also throwing out a lot of misinformation because of the union issues and competitors. Like I mentioned before, he is partially right...but even those things could change.
Just look at Zeta and all the on again, off again speculation.

Tell the irrational environmentalists to back off first...They only like to hear themselves talk, and not hear meaningful LONG-TERM solutions. Too bad the media only focuses on such hyperbole...The governement has no choice but ot follow suit.
You are perfectly right to not be patient anymore. GM has done some dumb things that have caused too many delays. There have been signs of hope...More hope is coming. Let's hope they execute right.

Hand holding not required nor desired.
I simply think this decision is a mistake.
Patience...Not all is right about what has been said.

Does that mean they stop taking orders for GP in November or they stop building in November? I mean, there's a 2008 ordering guide out there. How short of a formal model year will that be?
Yup...So do not put too much into what has been said.

SANDLES:
You are making very direct and confident statements, but you have offered nothing in return to support your assertions. Please try, in an indirect way of course, to tell us where you work or your connections.
From my sources, this "delay" has more to do with a) the unions, b) the competition, and c) some minor product shifts.

New updates to the VOlt...Interior, a little on the exterior. Wonder how much of that interior is going to make it to production? Seats are really sculpted.
