  1. From what I was told the production model looks like a dressed up Acura TL with an Enclave nose. I also heard they are going to release this car in China first as the Invicta

  2. Have you seen the color chips for the new Buicks, particularly for the LaCrosse?

    Disappointing.

The Dark Mocha is basically a dark root beer brown and not a sable type shade.

The Midnight Blue is almost black.

The Gold Mist looks like a urine sample.

The 2 reds are pretty mainstream; that is, no deep burgundy or a "cool" shade like Mulberry seen on Cadillacs and SUVs in years past

Lastly, the absence of a Light Quartz equivalent is bad news for a brand that sells well in light blues.

Overall, I find the color palette too dark. Do you agree?

From the standpoint of our color selection being too dark overall yes I think they should bring back colors like Silver-blue ice metallic or the Sapphire blue, but my hat off to them for bringing a lighter red to the Lacrosse. I think the Dark Mocha is a great color on the right car. I have yet to see it on an Lacrosse Super yet but hopefully our first one will arrive next week. We have a Lucerne CXL with it and it's not bad looking it but it looks great on a CXS with the extra chrome. The Gold Mist to me is the best shade of beige we've ever had it's been a great seller so far.
  3. No one ever really knows in advance what the incentives are going to be but I agree with carbiz on what he was saying. But if you're wanting to finance a Lucerne I'd say jump on it when they do 0% because I seriously doubt seeing them coming out with a big enough rebate to equal the savings.

  4. Ah, that might just be Goodwrench.

It would be strange for GM to completely revamp their logo without announcement after having the same one for probably the company's lifetime.

I was thinking the same thing. I just head something about it this morning before I got that envelope.
  5. I've read about it a couple times on the internet but I haven't had any cars come back with that complaint yet and we've sold about 85 Lucernes since they launched...About the only problem I've had in the 3 lucernes I've had the driver's door would squeak when you pulled it shut.

  6. Have your dealer swap one in... it's not hard,

and very commonplace these days, but if it

was me I'd take the opportunity to order one

    exactly to my specifications. :)

I'd agree with ordering one but it's going to have to be an 2007 if you order one now. Dealer trades recently are actually starting to become a pain for a variety of reasons but that's mostly dependant on the relationship of the two dealers.
  7. I completely doubt they'd put a 5-speed in there since the 6-speed auto will be available by 2007.  And at this point, I'm doubting they'll put the 6-speed in there.  Since the 3800 will at the most, be around for one more model year, only in the Lucerne and LaCrosse, I think they won't bother changing the transmission until 2008 when they actually have to change the base engine as the 3800 will have been retired.

The rumors I heard on the 5 speed (and it might have been a 6 speed my memory's shot  ) was for the Lucerne Super. And really I have no problem with the transmission in the CXS I'm driving I can't complain about it.... From the standpoint of hearing complaints I'm dreading that 3800 retirement. You wouldn't believe how many of these older customers swore up and down that Buick's going to get canned because they quit making thier stodgy LeSabre. :pokeowned:

  8. I have to agree another transmission would help...I've heard rumors but nothing solid on a 5 speed. To get rid of the 3800 would be a mistake just because that's just such a popular choice among older customers. I think as far as what improvements I'd do besides the transmission they need to make the fog lamps and chrome moldings a part of the CXL package, it looks way better than what they have and people want the fog lamps. I'd like to see them make the 2 accesory wheels factory installed options they look good on the car plus it makes them cheaper.

  9. ..for the rest of the GMT900s?  I am specifically looking for info on the Denali and XL Denali.  From what I hear the schedules may have been bumped up a little, so I am anxious to find out.  The people on this board seem to know more than the dealers.

    thanks!

From what I was hearing they should be at the dealers anytime now. They had Denali there that was a regular production vehicle, the XL was a prototype. I don't know if you've driven the regular 07 or not but you wont be disapointed....
  10. All I can find is the $500 on CX. I know the starting date for March Madness incentive is November 15 and I don't think we had one by then so it might not be eligible period. I thought I heard differently and if I do find something out I'll let you know.
