  1. i've been asking this in portuguese forums but anyone couldnt explain me, how parking light work, and what are their function.. do they turn on automaticaly? or do you need it to turn it on yourself? because I red somewhere that parking lights were to show to the other drivers that the car with the orange lights on was looking for a place to park...

  2. lool but all of you got those speeds in HUGGGEE cars, with very powerfull engines, i was in a small matches box (peugeot 106 rally edition) with an engine with 1.3L!! 120hp!!, the most powerful car that i've been on was a VW touareg 2.5 TDI 175 hp, and a Range Rover 2.5 HSE 165hp, ah and a mercedes E220 CDi and mercedes CLS 320 CDi those were the most powerfull cars that i've been on (dont forget that this isnt america -_-' powerfull cars are uncommun) lol

  3. whats the max. speed you ever reached? in what car? boooooredd xD

i've been 143 miles/h in a peugeot 106 raly edition 1.3L 120hp of 1995, its a powerless car, but very light weight car

    and 136 miles/h in a VW touran 2.0L TDI 140hp of 2005

  4. muahahahahha its funny how americans think about french cars... french cars ar good and have amasing designs, if you were talking about those litle japanese cars.. i would agree with you, but this french cars allways win the best design cars awards of europe, renault clio won the 2006, citroen c4 picasso won the 2007, the citroen c3 pluriel won the 2003 award.. the american cars here dont win any prise award...

  5. well they are cute, and doesnt seem, but they are spacious inside, they are very comon in portugal, thay have all the things that a regular car has, panoramic roof, semi-auto transmission, AC, airbags, all that stuf, they are preatyy fast, but they are eletronicaly "stranguled" (i dont know how to say that in english lool) at 75 mph, but they are fast, but NOT typic a american car definitively.. its to small for americans, thats why you, americans, have a smart fortwo in the moma (museum of modern art) in new york.. its considered a piece of modern art lmao

  6. well thats a good ideia, changing those old crown victoria for hybrids, but is what you were saying above, its time for ford to put on the market a hybrid car even crown vitoria hybrid i think was cool, but another thing is, why ford crown victorias has 4.6 L engine with only 220hp?? that makes the car have huge consoptions... a volvo s60 2.5T has 220hp.. that makes the car more economic.. or an 3.2 v6 would fit perfectly..

  7. Moro em Linda-a-Velha. E tu?

  8. Olá Deds!

What pulls Americans away form diesels is essentially prejudice (they see diesels as noisy fuming engines with little power) and to some extent price (diesel isn't subsidized by the government as it is in Europe, indirectly through less fuel taxes).

mekie?! és donde? bem isto tem mesmo piada carros europeus pa eles BAHH xD

  9. well thanks, portugal is fine but i want to go to USA new york, new york is like a small planet in just one city, i love new york.. well those models are the worse models of hich brand.. the fiat grand punto is inspired in a maserati, the new twingo is e stylish and super compact car.. well and about the european car beeing expensive and expensive maintenence, is the same thing that o said about american cars..

  10. Are you sure you have the conversion of $ to Euro's right? It seems that there is something off.

well i think i remember that a licoln mkz is moreless 32.000dollars right?? with that money IN PORTUGAL you can only buy a volkswagen golf 1.9tdi, and converting euros to dollars, if you buy a passat here it wold be moreless 40.000 dollars im comparing portugal and usa, here cars, gas and other stuff are very expensive...

  11. The Camaro will be in production w/in 1.5 years. The GR1 concept could be on the streets now if Ford hadn't decided not to produce the car.

I can't see the attatchment but unless it comes with a 340 hp V8 5speed auto SLA front suspension and 5 link rear for under $27K it isn't competing w/ the Charger or the upcoming Pontiac G8, which a Passat will not do.

And it is cool knowing what Europeans think of American cars.

well here when we talk in a REAL car we think in cadillacs, american chevrolets, buicks and lincolns.. lincolns are just pffff amasing cars... and to import one is very expensive, but comparing the prices of the cars here and there, a lincoln mkz is very cheap, with that money, here, you can buy a volkswagen Golf 1.9TDI... because the passat in here is over the 40.000 dollars..

  12. just another thing, why are americans criticizing the ideia of volkswagen starting to sell the 1.9TDI there? they sold some jettas but now if you go to http://www.vw.com , you wont find a tdi in jetta either in passat.. was volkswagen making experiences? saab is seling their 1.9 TiD also... they are seeing what americans say about that.. the incovinient of tdis are the noise, and the smoke... but if you see a mercedes ML 320 cdi or a cls 320 cdi those are very silenced engines.. here we have special diesel to reduce the smoke lool :duh:
