  1. Thanks for the suggestions. Turns out that the van happened to shut itself down in front of the right person this weekend. The problem was a faulty ignition module. No spark, no gas, no run. Thanks again.

Hi there. I have a problem with my 93 Astro. It is mechanically sound, but will shut down for no reason we've yet been able to determine. Some days it will run all day without any problems, some days it will run for 20 minutes and then ... nothing. There aren't any unusual noises associated with it, it just stops and refuses to start. The mechanics who have so far looked at the problem have thought that it might be any of the following: crank sensor, fuel pump, fuel sender relay, or the computer. If anyone has any ideas, has had this problem, or can direct me to a resource that will better be able to assist me with it, I'd appreciate it a whole lot. The vehicle is used for work purposes and just can't be off the road any longer. Thanks!!!
