From the sound of it I would have to replace the steering wheel and maybe do some modifications myself, which would be very costly and time consuming. I guess I would be better off equipping the truck with the convienence package. Thanks for your quick responses! Nate

Hey guys, Do you know if it is possible to add steering wheel-mounted audio controls to the new body style 2007 Chevy Silverado without the convenience package because I am looking at at truck that doesn't have it equipped. This doesn't bother me other than the fact it doesn't have steering wheel audio controls. If I happened to get my hands on the audio control module that goes onto the side of the steering wheel, can I just plug it in? Sometime on these sorts of things the wiring is all in place, they just don't give you the actual module without the proper package. Is this the case with steering wheel-mounted audio controls? I am looking at a LT1 Crew Cab if that helps. Thanks, Nate
