  1. No kidding Sherlock, where was the voice of reason when that came to that insane price to begin with.  They missed the opportunity to price it between $55k and $60k.  Cadillac needs to take a page from Lexus of the past and price their cars at a reasonable low price as not to be perceived as low rent.  Then work their way up and people would have been more tolerate of the pricing environment.  I love Gm and  Cadillac but there is a perception problem they have to work around and doing business as usual is not going to make it go away.

  2. When I buy a car and I like that car, the back seat is of no concern to me, because it is my car and I will not be sitting back there. The seat behind the round thing with spokes is the most important seat and the passenger seat coming in a next important. If I am the passenger that is where I will be.

  3. While this is a sad sit. when will these parents realize if you give your kid a high powered car and tell them to be careful, they have these peolple called friends that that will pressure them to push it. Some kids will show off in front of their friends to prove a point. Lesson here is to give these kids a sensible car, because driving is dangerous by itself without adding a high powered car to the mix.

  4. even though i like to some degree the new Cadillac interiors, they are a little more gaudy than purposeful. And it doesn't seem they've really been big on controlling gaps and fit as much as they just throw a bunch of showy surfaces out there to distract you from noticing how tight it fits.

you dont know much about preproduction cars do you? they do not care about the gaps at this time because they are testing other parts of the car.

  5. Cheers or Jeers: $16,000 1998 Pontiac Grand Am

You are bidding on a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am GT that is in Like New condition. It is green with a pinstripe on each side. This car is a one of kind rare find. It has been kept in a garage and never been exposed to the weather. It has never been driven in the snow or rain. This car is as clean as if it was sitting on the showroom floor. The car is 14 years old and has 14310 miles. Car comes with all oil change records and the original window sticker. You will have a hard time finding another car this clean and with so few miles. With the Pontiac line of cars no longer being made it will be hard to find another this new and low miles.

I luv cars, but he is on some serious drugs. Even if this car had zero miles.

  6. With Flybrians post, I will add that he is the new "Chief" Administrator of C&G as I will be relinquishing my duties on the web-site due to the story that I ran.

Plain and simply put, I was had and I was done so by somebody that picked a moment and jumped on it. I do feel however that some other "enthusiast" web site may have played a part and for this, I do apologize to C&G members and especially to General Motors for my lack of judgement.

That said, Fly is the new guy around town here and he is the new man calling the shots.

Did you really have to step down?, I think everyone deserves a least one mistake. I commend you for owning up to it, how many people do that in this day and age. Our society expects everything to go perfect and that is just not going to happen. Do not let the harsh critics get you down, because if you do that they will be so please in their little self served world.
