  1. Growing up in the service department , you see salesmen as the worlds biggest doucebags.. It is so discouraging to see 70% of your pay going to subsidize this department of crooks and liars .............

  2. Lack of maintenance is the problem , not bad chemistry , Some BLOODSUCKING lawywers are trying to get rich . When the tech says you need intake gaskets , do them , it is really a low cost of ownership considering that the plugs and wires are 100k items and most gm stuff can go 20k miles without an oil change , haha , seen it just the other day .....................

  3. Hopefully they can get something worked out with health care. I don't think they should dump all of it on the government, but they could use the fact that Canada pays for health care when it comes time to build a new plant. If GM demolishes a US plant and builds a new one in Canada, they don't have to worry about health care because the Canadian government pays for it.

Canada is a mess . Socialized medicine is joke .

You get sick in Canada , visit the best doctors - in the United States !

    Just bring cash

  4. maybe make the Busch cars CONVERTIBLES

Nascar is closing down a few of it's touring series , things seem to be going downhill in Daytona Beach .

Like Smokey Yunick used to say about Bill France

LOAD THE CART THE MULE IS BLIND

third generation making like it's a whorehouse

  5. Most Penske rental trucks are GM . Roger Penske owns lots of GM stores . Roger Penske made his racing name with Mark Donohue and Championship Chevrolets . Rusty Wallace never did as well in Fords and Dodges as he did in his Pontiac . Unlike Earnhardt , who went out with a bang , Rusty went out with a fizzle . I don't think Penske is going to do anything top level at GM , Maybe take Pete Gerosa's job .

  6. oh man............

    *shaking head*

    Josh........are you KIDDING ME?

You've not seen one attack he's made on people?

What do you call his daily rants on the people of General Motors?

This thread is so far off base, it's ridiculous.

While I'm here, let me set a few things straight........  (and this is personal...it has nothing to do with the company I work for.....)

Wagoner did not hire Zarella -- he was brought in at the urging of the Board of Directors......the former Proctor & Gamble CEO who served on the GM board -- whose name escapes me -- brought Zarella in.

The Number One GM salesperson in History would be Joe Girard.......sorry Buickman, but you're not even close.  Not sure what your sales numbers are, but methinks there are many old-line Chevrolet salespeople that outsell you as well.

Josh -- GM did not sit around and do nothing for 20 years.  To say such a thing is simply ludicrous.  (note the spelling)

It would be highly unlikely for GM/Ford/DCX to gain meaningful market share (meaning above 30% ....when you consider the american consumer has over 280 nameplates to choose from......and that will grow to well over 300 by the end of the decade.  The 'pie' (meaning the american market) is relatively stable at 16 to 17 million units a year.  Every time another manufacturer comes into the market, someone's piece of the pie is gonna shrink.  Do I like that fact? No.  Will I die trying to change that for GM?  You betcha!

Wagoner is not a crook and I think it's slanderous to say such a thing.

I find it offensive that someone puts his name in the same paragraph -- or the same footing (at least it sure appeared that way to me)  with names like Durant/Nash/W.P. Chrysler/Mott/Curtice........  This reminds me of Dan Quayle making a similar claim and Lloyd Bentsen saying "I knew Jack Kennedy -- you are no Jack Kennedy!"

The bottom line:  If you attack people, get used to them attacking back.

LLoyd Bentsen , another hack turd , name brought up in discussion of hack turds , how fitting
  7. The only brake issues I ever see are leaking rear wheel cylinders , sometimes ABS problems with morraine 2 , not so much , good car but 3300 is a bit much - dealer would probably offer a grand wholesale

p/s pumps start to make noise when old

    broken stablizer links

  8. NASA ? do they run all the events in Cape Kennedy ? I don't think participant driven race series are any competition for the Nextel cup series

Honestly Nascar stands are packed and the ratings are huge .

road racing is like masterbating , you like doing it , but no one likes to watch

In Nascar , all the the fans in the stands know the names of , in pro road racing , the racers know the names of all of the fans stands

  9. Back when the Elliotts were making all the Winston Cup Chevy guys look dumb with the 85 Thunderbird that turned out to be slicker and smaller than the other thunderbirds , some Chevy Guys suggested running Camaros , but the longer decklid of the Monte Carlo got more air to rear spoiler , and the fix was the 77 caprice rear window , which made the Aero coupe , which more than handled the T Bird

  10. I hate GM dealerships,

I went to get a set of keys made for my Bonneville they charged me $46 for an ignition key (the car is 14 yrs old cant the price come down some?) and they didnt have a door key. I asked if he could check to see of the other local dealers had one and he said they dont stock them anymore. He then suggested I go to Home Depot to get a key made. If they can sell the car shouldnt they sell they key too?

I went there for a turn signal lens for my Olds, $51 for a box that had a pack date of August 31,1989 and was covered in dust.

I went to another GM dealer to get a key made for my Olds and the guy threw my keys at me when he was done copying it and complained that the key was hard to find. Then the rude cashier almost screwed me out of a few $ but I cought her mistake.

    GM needs to clean house.

What kind of a job do you have ? Does your company charge for your services ? Do you know your Bonneville is a pass key and even takes extra time reading your old code to get the right key ? I bet your key has list price probably higher than you paid ? Do you think this country was built on giving things away for free ?

Guys at dealerships are not in the employ of General Motors , they are employed by independent companies authorized to sell and service GM cars and trucks , our customers are constantly surveyed about everything at the dealer , from service to appearance of the building to politeness of the employees .
