I just saw an Aura convoy today here in Milwaukee by the airport...very strange. There were probably 8-10 of them in a row being escorted by the police. They all had Michigan manufacturer plates on them. I was shocked at first, but quickly pulled along the side of them to check them out. I must say, not being much of a Saturn fan, these cars had a classy, crisp, clean look to them...they'll do well for sure. I thought the sides really looked good...like it had a classy upscale look. Anybody have any idea what they were doing here? And I noticed one with the saddle interior...it really stood out!

That fender repeater lamp assembly looks like it could be popped out and replaced with the Lucerne's portholes. Could this really be the foundation for the next big Buick?
-
Any chance in heck that the super will get a 6-speed auto?
If not, why bother?
I don't think it'll fit in the w-body, but I heard it might get GM's new 3-speed auto.

I have a feeling this is going to be a very early 2008. Perhaps '08 Lacrosse production will begin in early '07 so Buick can get a full two or three years out of the improvements. Remember the '97 Lesabre refresh? It came out so early in '96 that they legally couldn't even sell them! I'm really looking forward to seeing this car. Maybe it'll be my first new car in over seven years! Now one has to wonder if there will be a Lucerne Super. How can the top-of-the-line car have a 275hp V-8 while the little Lacrosse has 303hp?

What's the point of having it there if it's just going to be covered up? Are they ever going to show it?
-
And they killed it for 2007... no more glacier blue.
And no more tuxedo blue/shale interior. Stupid

My point was that a spoiler doesn't belong in a Buick. Ever.
Have you seen a LaCrosse with the spoiler? It does wonders for that cars plain rear design.
-
Why does the G6 and Aura get a 6-Speed Automatic while the DTS, Lucerene and LaCrosse don't?
I'd say because of quality. The 6-speed is new and will have a few bugs at first. Buick and Caddy score on the top of quality and Pontiac scores on the bottom...let Pontiac have it first.

I agree. A person might not like the Avalon but a review like that just shouts "I never really drove this car but I'm bashing it anyway".
The Avalon is not my style of car but I have been in one and it's a quality piece.
Are you calling me a liar?

The liberal media does not market a conservative president.
No S*H*I*T. Now I know you''ll have a hard time doing this, but think really hard about what you just said.
-
Sorry....I don't make calls like this very often at all.....but I don't believe your post and don't believe you spent ANY time in an Avalon.
If you did, sounds like you are just bashing for the sake of bashing....
Most open-minded enthusiasts on here would disagree with your assessments. AND, I've found the Avalon's V6 nothing more than whisper quiet even at full-throttle compared to ANY GM V6 (even their HF's.)
Well guess what buddy...I did in fact spend time in an Avalon. And the motor was in fact noisy. Maybe it had a bad motor.

I recently drove a new Avalon and was completly blown away. I was blown away by how crappy it was...seriously. The suspension was really clunky like a '90 Pontiac Grand Prix with worn struts, and it didn't ride very well either. The Lacrosse I rented was light years ahead in terms of ride quality and just overall solid feel. I'll admit that the V-6 performed very nicely in the Avalon and was fun to rev, but it was quite noisy. It seemed there was little sound insulation and the engine was very "ticky" sounding like an old Oldsmobile V-8 with noisy lifters. The interior absolutley sucked ass with it's poor fit and finish and really nasty materials. The '80's style controls were just really messed up...I was shocked that the climate controls were on both sides of the radio. Just more media bull$h! guys, they control EVERYTHING! They market crappy cars just like they market our crappy president...it's all a freakin' joke.

What a stupid article. Buick was founded by William Durant?

You Range Rover lovers need your heads examined. They are UGLY inside and out. And the driving position is all f**ked up...at least the ones I drove.

Thanks for the information. I already leased a 2006 Lacrosse CXL at a very nice payment. It is red with taupe interior; equipped with remote start and heated seats. The only problem I'm having is that it sat for a long time on the lot, which caused the tires to develop flat spots on the tires. This has caused vibration and instability. The dealer refuses to acknowledge that there is a problem, but the problem is there IS a problem. I can't win.
Can I ask what you're paying and what the lease terms are? I've been wanting a Lacrosse for a while know, but can't get myself to spend the money.

I know they're supposed to have a heated steering wheel for 07' but that's all I've heard....
Sounds like they're going to use the Caddy wheel. Want to bet it'll get the power tilt/telescope? Now if they would just offer the blue interior that the DTS has.

Well I hope there was something wrong with the one I drove, becuase the wind noise was profound, especially on the highway.
Other than that, it was a good car.
All it takes is for a door to be slightly off in adjustment to have a loose door seal, and then a wind leak. I'd say test another one. The Lacrosse I rented was so quiet I was afraid I'd fall asleep.

It should, actually, work since the remotes for most of the Buick line were the same back then.
As far as programming it to work, I'm not sure at the moment, but I'll search around and post back when I find the instructions.
I would really appreciate that. I see you have three of these monsters. Mine has 120,000 miles, but the car is very solid. Are there any problems I should look out for on these? I'm wondering about tie rods and stuff like that.

I just bought a '95 Roadmaster Estate wagon with the "SE" package. I need to know if a '94 Park Ave remote would work with this car. I don't have any remotes for the wagon now, but I do know it came with the "SE" package. And, how do you program it? Thanks for any help!

I'm considering buying a '91-'96 Roadmaster wagon or Caprice wagon. I just found a '95 Roadmaster wagon with 120,000 miles that's on sale at a used car lot for $2,995. It's blue with gray cloth and NO woodgrain . Both the body and interior are very clean for the year. What do you guys think? Are there any things I should look at when I test drive it?

It is worth paying $495.00 for a red car but it is NOT WORTH paying extra for a gray or white car. Gray and white are geriatric colors, not worth having in the first place, much less paying extra for them. Especially white, the most boring of all colors, bland, vanilla, nothing, call it diamond white, white lightning, white flash, it is still WHITE!
I guess you have never seen the Lucerne in the goldflash white pearl? It is truly stunning in that color, and is worth every penny. The reason for the expense is because it's a three stage paint with pearl. So, not only is it one extra stage to go through at the factory, but the paint is very, very, very expensive. It's also a more difficult paint to spray. I've been in the repair business for a long time, so I know of all the extra work and cost that goes into one of these paint jobs. Be thankful that Buick is at least willing to go through the trouble to offer it.

I agree. The Intrigue was the best W-body execution.
No freakin' way! The Olds sucked and its sales numbers prove it.

I love it! I wish they would have kept the opera lamp on the c-pillar though. I can't wait to see it in other colors and the CXS version.
